My son absolutely loved My Nature Lab. He is about 2 years old and got to hold a snake, feed a bearded dragon and see all the cool turtles and other fun reptiles that were housed here. This place is super cool, and the guy at the shop was so friendly and knowledgeable I'd recommend this spot to everyone and anyone. We will certainly be back!

This place is amazing. It's a little pricey but very much worth it. Our six year old grandson was totally engaged in the hands-on experience and the adults learned a few things too. The staff member, Nicole, was so sweet and the place is totally kid friendly. Highly recommended for an outing.

The iguana and bearded dragons will let you get pretty close for a photo!

This was the highlight of my visit to Louisville! We went with a group of adults to see Feeding Friday - the day where you can watch snakes eat. Cameron had the snake in his lap and fed it a mouse while he explained how the snake breathes and moves the food into its mouth. The coolest part of the visit was holding a snake. It was calm and smooth and seemed comfortable around humans. In addition to the snakes, there are several lizards running around the shop and a giant tortoise that seems curious about people. Can't wait to go back!

Drinks and foods available and staged throughout the zoo in decent distances of each other. Drinks and food were available for all ages of attendees. Really loved the areas you could actually walk inside and be with the animals ( safe animals) like the Wallaby's and Lorikeets. Up close and personal. Could also feed the Lorikeets. Nice presentation by several animals like penguins and elephants ( there were more ). The train ride although short was a big hit with constant lines waiting to get onboard. What do you do with kids on an extra cold night? Let's go to the aquarium that we have yet to visit…read moredespite living in Denver for ages now. Due to the cold, no lines for tickets. Great indoor activity. Fairly empty inside. Perfect evening. Prices are steep for parking and admission. It's a one and done activity for us. But it was worth the experience! We spent almost two hours there, taking our time to admire and learn. We really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful sea creatures - all varieties of fish large and small, sharks, jellyfish, stingrays (which you can pet at the end), two random tigers (not expecting that at an aquarium), turtles, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc. Only negative from our outing was the guy in the ticket booth. We brought out of town friends with us and it was freezing outside. He could see that we had kids and were all super cold. It would've been kind if he had said we could just go inside and wait for the husbands to come in with the wrist bands. As it turns out we just ran inside anyway to wait for them, but not very good customer service.

I love fish/aquatic species/animals in general and this was simply a disappointing experience…read more There are quite a variety of aquatic animals plus tigers, which was random. I appreciate that they don't have any dolphins/orcas/big sharks for welfare concerns. I loved seeing many of the fish but the whole place is quite a quick walk. My friend and I decided to just turn around and do the loop again and spend more time at each exhibit to get our moneys worth. I loved talking to the employees, especially the stingray people, as they are clearly very passionate and knowledgeable. Their knowledge and skillsets are clearly being underutilized as most of their job seems to be yelling at kids to be gentler to the animals. I would love an informational employee at other animal exhibits to engage more and share their knowledge. I think the experience would have been good if it wasn't so expensive (~$35) for an adult.

A Truly Memorable Alpaca Experience…read more We visited Smooth Alpaca Experience as a group of six, ranging in age from 12 to mid-60s, and every one of us absolutely loved it. Joe was wonderful -- fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!
