A few things: + They provide a yoga mat, as your personal mat will get really dirty! + Located on a beautiful ranch/farm in Loveland. + No need for any yoga experience! The instructor leads the class with basic yoga poses, yet the focus is more of the baby goats prancing on and around you! + The instructor and her husband are really engaging and do a great job of making you laugh. + The farm hosts a lot of animals! From a wild turkey and horses, to the instructors golden retriever roaming around, it's fun to see and pet all the animals. + A small souvenirs shop is onsite with coffee mugs, yoga mats, T-shirt's and goat inspired trinkets! + Makes for a great group event! Not…read morethat I've been in many :) fear not yogi newbies, this isn't really a "yoga" session as it is the perfect excuse to be around the cutest baby goats ever! Yes, of course there is yoga involved. But instead of focusing on the eagle pose, you focus on the fun pose that is conducive to pro-goat poses! The staff was so entertaining and nice! Our instructor did a fantastic job of leading the class and was so patient. All the while a friendly gentleman (I believe her hubby) made sure we all got some quality goat action! No one left unsatisfied that they didn't get the full run yoga experience! I went on my own because I'm a one man wolf pack. But most others went in small groups or with a friend so I imagine it's even more fun when your friends can snap photos all the while there is a goat enjoying your mat. :) Give in to your inner goat loving self and enjoy the quirk that is goat yoga! We paid to feed the bison, not realizing they would give you food for free on the train ride. That was a bit frustrating, but you can add the food they pass around to your bag so you have plenty to give to the bison. Our kids had a fantastic time and it was a lot of fun feeding the bison on the train. I think this is a great activity to do in the area with kids and it was definitely a highlight in our trip. The gift shop was fun to visit on our way out. Highly recommend!

The Terry Bison Ranch is the only place I have ever heard about where you can hand feed Bison. They also have other things to do here. We got here an hour and a half before our train departed and we have plenty to do. They have lots of animals on this ranch from full grown ostriches and baby ones, a long horn cow, plenty of chickens, baby bison that you can pet, lots of horses, goats, and much more. On the ride over to feed the bison, they had a train robbery reenactment which was fun. The whole train ride takes about an hour to make sure to use the restrooms before getting on. It's a great place to bring kids. Prices were reasonable. $20 per adult $10 for kids to ride the train and $10 for bison feed which is a must. They give you a decent amount of food in the bag. No reservations needed you can buy tickets at the general store. There they have plenty of souvenirs to buy and can answer any questions you may have. An easy day trip from Denver. If you are on a roadtrip I'd recommend stopping here if you are heading to Wyoming from Colorado or vice versa.

The proprietor was quite nice and provided some very interesting facts and stories about the animals. Our son is almost two years old and was a bit hesitant at first but by the end was walking up to the animals and feeding them by himself. The animals all have movie star and celebrity names - very cute, and are all different colors. It was a bit hard to find and Google Maps first took us to the upper parking lot of the Red Rocks complex. But I was able to call and they provided us an address by text - the small farm is up a dirt road off the main road to RR. The whole experience was about one hour. Be prepared to get some hay on you! I recommend the experience and it is quite unique.

A Truly Memorable Alpaca Experience…read more We visited Smooth Alpaca Experience as a group of six, ranging in age from 12 to mid-60s, and every one of us absolutely loved it. Joe was wonderful -- fun, informative, kind, humorous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the entire experience engaging for both kids and adults alike. We especially enjoyed getting to know all of the alpacas, along with the hilarious three brother goats who definitely put on a performance for us! We learned so much about alpaca behavior, personalities, eating habits, the shearing process, and the care involved in raising them. It was also fascinating to see the finished alpaca products, including socks, hats, gloves, sweaters, and blankets, and to better understand the process from animal to finished product. Overall, this was a unique, educational, and genuinely enjoyable experience that we would highly recommend. Joe made the day extra special!

I never thought I was a zoo person, but this completely changed my mind…read more I visited during the zoo's extended summer hours (Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m.--despite what Google Maps says!), and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. We practically had the zoo to ourselves! Google still lists the zoo as closing at 4 p.m. every day, and I don't think the zoo advertises these evening hours nearly enough. Going later in the day made the experience so much better. First, it was much cooler and more comfortable. Second, the animals were incredibly active because the heat had died down. And third, many of them were being fed their dinner near the viewing areas, so we got to watch them up close in a way you normally wouldn't. The staff and volunteers were another highlight. Everyone we talked to was friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited to answer questions and share stories about the animals. You can tell they're passionate about both the animals and the zoo's conservation efforts. I also learned how important it is to support AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited zoos. I came away really impressed by everything the Denver Zoo does for conservation, research, and animal care. If anything, I think they should do a better job of bragging about all the incredible work they're doing--it deserves more attention! One of my favorite moments was watching the tiger stroll across the overhead bridge directly above us. The elephants have a similar crossing, although they weren't using it while we were there. The habitats throughout the zoo were beautifully designed and created such an immersive, interactive experience. I can't recommend visiting during the extended summer hours enough. It felt like having a private zoo experience, and I'll absolutely be back!
