When our beloved kitty and Queen of the House, Sundae, passed away at home at the age of 18, I decided to be extra and give her a proper send-off. Called a few other places but this one had the best, most compassionate funeral director, which is so important while grieving. She listened to our stories, asked to see pictures of Sundae when she was alive and healthy, let us be alone with Sundae and cry until we were ready to leave Sundae in her care, and offered a private cremation package for less than half the price of a vet. This pet cemetery is located at the back of a very well cared-for human cemetery, and the process of handling Sundae's arrangements was pretty much identical to the one I went through with my human loved ones. It was both comforting to see Sundae's life celebrated like any other family member and highly educational for my daughter to go thru the motions of a "real funeral" with our pet. read more

I brought my sweet 18 year olds kitty in today. Caroline was very compassionate. I used to bury my pets but my new house has a lot of coyotes, fox, and an occasional mountain lions, and no fences, so I was afraid she would be dug up. So we decided on cremation. I lost my dog Jack just this past Thursday and it was heartbreaking to say the least. A friend had told me about MPC some time ago when her dog passed away. While I utterly dreaded having to call her to get the information I needed quickly, I knew that I wanted my dog's passing to be as planned, loving and respecful as I could do for him. I left a message for MPC and within the hour received a call back from Carolyn who was so respectful, sympathetic and classy - I just cannot say enough wonderful things about her. I could barely speak through sobs as I gave her the details of what was going to transpire with my dog in the following 48 hours. She listened patiently as I spoke through tears and told me she would do whatever she could to accommodate Jack's cremation. She let me say what I needed to and never rushed me to hurry up - wow -- I'll never forget that lovely detail about her. Jack passed on Thursday morning and within an hour or so I had to bring him to MPC for cremation and while Carolyn was not there the rest of the staff was so sweet to me and my family as we handed Jack off to them -- which was VERY hard to do but I knew that he was in good hands. Carolyn called me end of day Thursday and told me I could pick Jack up bright and early Friday morning -- I was so appreciative of that. I had Jack returned to me within 24 hours in a beautiful urn that I has selected and I cannot explain how comforting it was to have him back home with us so quickly -- it really helped with the healing process. If I could give Carolyn, her staff and MPC 100 stars I would do it and I really encourage anyone who has the sad, sad task of respectfully taking care of your pet once it passes -- call Carolyn - she's is an angel!!! read more

Today I found myself in the most sad and painful situation of having to cremate my dog / best friend of 13 years. I turned to yelp and began reading reviews of My Pet's Cemetery. Upon reading the most recent review I was almost persuaded to find another pet cemetery / crematorium. However, I continued to read the next review and the next, then decided to call and book an appointment. I'm so very glad I did. Carolyn was lovely, kind and compassionate. She was very accommodating and allowed my family and friends the time and space we needed to say our final goodbyes. It was the best of a bad situation. My Then daughter and I took our Collie, Tristan, to be cremated here yesterday and were very disappointed in the way we were treated. I had taken my last two dogs here about 2 yrs. ago and everything went very well at that time. However, this time things have changed at this place. We were told we could not view our dog being laid into the crematorium which we always did before. Even if we paid extra, it was not going to happen. I did not care for that decision. Then we the two men came tao pick up our Tristan to bring him up to the Crematorium, I did not care for the tall white wavy haired man who did not show our dog any respect at all. He grabbed his head with his fist and lifted him up out of our car and into his truck. I was horrified. and told him to be more gentle. He didn't even care. When I see something like that, I do not care for the people any longer. We were visibly upset by having to cremate him and these men did not give a damn. I cringed and let him go. How did I even know where he was going? There was no witness to see what they did and I always was allowed to view the cremaiton or at least watch my dog being placed very gently into the oven and the doors closed. When we picked up his ashes, they were smashed into a cedar box which is their way. I somehow felt that all of him was not in the bag. He was a very large dog. The woman told me everything was there. I did not believe her and will not believe that all of him was includeded. If not, I would have liked to have the remains. When I cremated my mom thru the Neptune Society, they gave me this very small bag of white ashes telling me these were her bones - the only thing that could be thrown into the Bay. If I had known that, I would have taken the rest and kept it. No one tells you what they are doing. They just do it. I would tell everyone rto please do not take your dog to this place if you at all value him. It is not being done right. That I know. Thank you. read more
