This is a review for the pet burial services for my pets. Not cremation. I researched for the closest pet cemetery in my area, and Bubbling Well was the closest (although still far..2 hours away) as all the local pet cemeteries permanently closed/shut down during the pandemic. Last year, we went to Bubbling Well to get our dog a burial service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Georgina from Bubbling Well has guided me throughout the process, and was super kind and sympathetic to me and my family during our grief of losing our longtime loving companion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was patient and provided us with detailed pricing information and suggestions based on our budget and burial land that is the closest distance to access. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This year, our family had lost another loved one and Georgina remembered us. The only hardest part was the drive to the pet cemetery as you're required to drive up a small mountain with wind-y roads. You'll need to drive carefully, but once you reach there, the pet cemetery looked very maintained and well kept. The drive up is less than 5 minutes. *** If driving up the small mountain is difficult for you, then I do NOT recommend having a pet burial service at Bubbling Well because it can impact your desire of wanting to visit your pet since the drive is a dread. Highly recommend you check out the pet cemetery before deciding on this place. I love this cemetery personally and don't mind the drive to visit my loved ones *** When talking to Georgina, I learned that the furthest customer that has came to Bubbling Well was someone who flew from New York last week! A top rate cemetery. It's beautiful. The grass is lush. The ponds are taken over by moss or something, but it clears up during the year. Our headstone was as lovely as when we had it installed. We cleaned it off with some water and toothbrush. She's only been here 1.5 years so everything is still new. Our solar lights were moved to the plot next to us. It must have been moved when they mowed the lawn. we moved them back. Next time we'll bring some new decorations. So many people decorate the graves with Statues, pin wheels, flowers, pictures, ect. There was one grave all decked out for Halloween. We were there October 12th so perfect timing. read more

If you value what happens to your pet/ESA/Service Animal's remains you may want to stay away. I trusted these incompetent people to handle the remains of my Service Dog. I asked for and paid for a viewing before cremation and verified I would be called to schedule the viewing, at which point I wanted to get prints, fur and a clay imprint as they don't do the clay imprint. I was assured they would call. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Well, while they are quick to call you every few days before they take your payment, you can forget any call after.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A week after payment I received an email stating the remains were set to be shipped and provided a tracking number. I called and he'd already been cremated. I trusted these idiots with the remains of my Service Dog, not a pet. My Service Dog was the one creature I trusted 100% with my life and these people completely disrespected my wishes. He kept me going and his unexpected emergency passing was traumatic enough without this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dog they cremated so quickly was so much smarter than they are - so sad for them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was phoned by Bubbling Wells who evidently had notice the item wasn't delivered, they advised me to contact USPS to have them redelivered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And, of course, since USPS is the bottom of the totem on delivery conveniences, I spent several minutes trying to input their 30 digit tracking number in the 3 second window they allow one to do so, only to find out that there is no redelivery option available, as Bubbling Wells had indicated. Now, I'm here at home, with a car in the repair shop, realizing I'm going to have to coordinate pick up from the post office, in the next 2 days, before the remains are returned to Bubbling Wells. June of 2021, I found out my senior cat, Nuggets, had nasal cancer (there were many signs but was hoping it was something else) and brain tumor in the pituitary gland. We were given the prognosis of "not good" and a lifespan of 3-6 months only. I knew I wanted a place to bury my kitty so that we can visit and remember him by. I started researching pet cemeteries in Sonoma County and surprisingly there were only three. 1. Whispering Pines in Sebastopol - The closest one to me and unfortunately they were full. They only do cremations now. 2. My Pet Cemetery in Petaluma - They are a human cemetery but have a small spot in the corner that you can bury your pets in. 3. Bubbling Well Memorial Park in Napa- This was recommended to me by one of Nuggets vet. I love that fact that it is a huge pet only memorial park. July 2021 - I went to the Bubbling Well's office to pick up a Map. We drove up to the memorial park and toured the grounds and gardens. We chose the Garden of the Meadows and a spot for Nuggets. I was able to pre-pay for the spot in advance. I have anxiety and after securing everything, it's one less thing to worry about when the time comes. Bubbling Well is beautiful, colorful with sweeping views everywhere. Each garden is unique. With over 20,000+ pets buried here, you feel good knowing this business is dedicated to the caring of your pet after it's passing. I have to give a shout out to Georgina who works here. She just passed her 30 years at Bubbling Well. She is knowledgable and quick to assist with the paperwork to secure Nuggets spot. She said hope we don't hear from you anytime soon! Jan 5, 2022 - We had to put Nuggets down. He was still good on the outside, looks good, interactive, wanted to hang out with us, etc. But he was no good on the inside. He can't sleep well, he doesnt eat his normal meals (only treats) and both nostrils were plugged up from the nasal cancer. It is so heartbreaking and painful to have to put him down. I miss him every single day. But his vet say it is TIME. He got to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with us. He got to sit under the Christmas tree one more time. After the appointment, we drove Nuggets up to Bubbling Well to have him frozen until his funeral. Georgina took care of us again. We finalized the paperwork for the casket and marker. Jan 20, 2022- We had our private burial ceremony for Nuggets. It was in their new Chapel. Nuggets looked so cute, he looked like he was just sleeping. He looked so peaceful and that made me feel better. His head was rested on the pillow. His was comfortably placed in the casket. He was very well taken care of at this end of life appt and Bubbling Wells did the rest. Georgina said they showered him and blew dry him the day before! He did look very clean and well groomed. I petted his head and we said our goodbyes. We buried him with lots of his favorite treats and goodies as he was a foodie. We wrote him letters and also got some sand to bury with him when we took him to the beach 2 summers ago. It was a beautiful remembrance. Bubbling Well is kind, caring and will take great care of your pets whether you chose burial or cremation. I made a temporary marker on Amazon to place on top of Nuggets spot. My little Yorky passed away and I called to set up a private funeral. The lady on The phone was super sweet and so patient. She set me up for that same day. I took him in, said our last good byes and picked out a box for his ashes. A week later I got an email informing me that his ashes were ready to be picked up. The box is beautiful. While we waited for our appointment time to arrive we walked the grounds of this beautiful & peaceful place!! 06/15/2023 Please see the background story in our reviews for SF Animal Medical Center (the folks that were really helpful and cared about our pet). Our boy went across the Rainbow Bridge on 6/9/2023. Bubbling Well was contacted to pick him up on their next SF run; that meant he would be picked up Monday 6/12/2023. I called to check. SFAMC said Flip was still with them. I called Bubbling Well. A very who-cares attitude receptionist said that that run wasn't done because they didn't have a driver. Bubbling Well didn't notify SFAMC, and to my knowledge didn't notify anyone whose pet was supposed to be picked up. The Bubbling Well receptionist said that they next SF run was Wednesday and they would get Flip then. So we set up and paid for his cremation, and picked the urn, and gave the engraving information for the urn. Come Wednesday, I call Bubbling Well. No, they did not pick up Flip. No reason given, they just didn't fulfill their contract - I paid for his pick-up and all services. I called SFAMC and they checked and sure enough, Flip was still there. They were baffled since Bubbling Well had been there and Flip was on the list, yet he was still there. Apparently there was something in front of the freezer door, but the Bubbling Well agent did NOT let anyone at SFAMC know and just skipped that freezer and any pets in it that were to be picked up. I really lost it. SFAMC connected me to their Customer Service Manager. Nicole took up solving the problem. She talked to me, calmed me, told me she would contact BW, but when she tried, they were closed at 4:30pm. More discussion with me. I didn't want our boy to go with Bubbling Well because of their reps attitude, their pick-up agents attitude & lack of responsible action, the company's lack of communication (no one contacted us nor did they let SFAMC know that not all pets on the list were picked up), the disrespect being show to the memory of our pet, the lackluster/unprofessional way BW seemed to be operating. On 6/15/2023, Nicole reached Bubbling Well. It is hearsay, but my understanding is that she got the same lousy attitude from the staff at Bubbling Well. Nicole told them to refund my money and that we would be using another company. Our money has been refunded. Nicole set us up with Pet's Rest (Colma CA) for a private cremation with us present. Pet's Rest came immediately to SFAMC and picked up our boy! I have already spoken with them and everything is set up. Bubbling Well totally dropped the ball. Bad attitude. Horrid service. Had to give 1 star because that's how YELP works. Actually would only give 1/4 star because at least we got our refund. Just remember, this is not the company it used to be. New ownership. Service to SF now very poor. That's our experience. Pets are family, and family deserves so much better than Bubbling Well even tried to provide. read more

Horrific experiences. Confirming my dogs cremation was a terrible experience to being with. A few months passed, after being told an option was to ship the ashes, but I'd planned to come and pick my dog up in person. I had a horrific car accident and was recovering, and hadn't heard From them in months. Being without a car, I was looking for reasons to get a friend to drive to Napa (also I was not asked where I would like the cremation done when he died). The tone-deaf woman I had to deal with the first time called me at 5pm on a work day the other week and said "if you don't come pick up your dog by tomorrow we are spreading his ashes for you". This is after zero coordination or communication or ASKING why I hadn't been able to come up. This was incredibly distressing. I am still livid and my blood boils thinking about this experience. I paid hundreds of dollars for a private cremation and engraving. To be clear, shipping was an option when I ordered and was not offered when this rude woman called me to tell me this. Holding my dead dog hostage is f*cked up. Avoid this place. Would give zero stars if possible. read more

Our 13 year old cat Mimi collapsed suddenly, suffering from respiratory failure and sepsis, and wasn't responding to treatment, so after 14 hours at the pet emergency hospital, we made the very difficult decision to say goodbye. At the emergency hospital, I was given the option to have her cremated at Bubbling Well and I filled out some paperwork with details of what I wanted written on her box/urn. A few weeks later my husband picked up her box, which to our surprise was missing her name. I reached out to Bubbling Well to see if they could fix it. Georgeina and Cindy were prompt and so kind in their responses. It turns out I had not filled out the personalization paperwork correctly (I'm sure my mental state at the time had something to do with it). Cindy offered to see if there might be a way to add Mimi's name on the back or above the other text that was there. I drove to Bubbling Well and they were able to add her name (and her birth / death year - this was an add-on to my original request). The box was beautiful to begin with, but having Mimi's name on it means so much, since she was a huge part of our family for so long. I highly recommend Bubbling Well for their cremation and urns + engraving services. They handled me with such grace, even though I had clearly made a mistake. read more

The presentation was truly impressive--a beautiful cedar box topped with a brass plate engraved with my dog's name and my own last name. And a handsome certificate of cremation was included as well, reflecting care and attention to detail beyond my expectations. Unfortunately the vet hospital spelled my last name incorrectly, so it was misspelled on both the plate and certificate. We requested from the very beginning to have our choice of urn with photo and asked before anything completed to send a proof by e-mail. This never happened. The up charge for their standard default was $62.50. It is a good cedar urn with a very small photo only approx 1/1/2 " diameter. Overall just looks very basic and quite cheap. Make sure you know what your paying for, and insist on seeing what is done before they begin work. We were grieving and trusted they would be a bit more thorough, and recognize we would be willing to pay.
