Ladies Rodeo with the girls. Fun night out. Loved all the merchandise, animals and rodeo show. Great to enjoy as a family, a couple or with your Besties.

This was my second and third time coming to cow palace for a show. And honestly it's not my favorite but it does the job. A lot of the seats and structure are outdated and the way they set the layout for the show is a bit inconvenient. We came here for Give Thanks and it was pretty crowded the first night. They only had one entrance to go to the floor and it was just too crowded everywhere so we opted for the standing area above the floor. Bathrooms were also an inconvenience. There just wasn't enough. I think I waited in line for 45 mins for the bathroom because one area only had 3 stalls. The other restrooms had lines that wrapped around the stadium as well. Inside the stadium, it gets hot and musty with no good airflow. The one perk of holding events here at this place though is the visuals! The setup for the visuals was pretty cool so at least there's that.

Went here for Wobbleland! Was an amazing experience being our first time here with friends. We got there around 5pm, no traffic, easy and quick parking. We parked near back for easy exit. We hung outside the parking lot passing out some drinks, treats to start the "plur" vibes for approximately an hour or so before entering the venue. Line went quickly with no delays and security was quick. No issues. Our group sat in seatings just right above of the main floor looking towards the main stage for better viewing and space. There was another room away from the main stage as well. Bathroom were not far and surprisingly quick ( probably cause I only used twice the whole night) exiting out of the event was not bad as there were two exit out from what i saw and there were a few security guiding the exit.

Cow Palace...it had been years since I had been to this venue. Pre-kids. I was invited to go, tickets were given to my son-in-law because he told them that he and my daughter wanted to surprise me and take me to a DJ Concert. They had found out I love DJ music and laser light shows. They would tell me about their concert shows and I would remember how much I use to enjoy them. I had the best time ever, jamming to Jamie XX and the light shows earlier this year. To my kids, Alexis, Seli, and Jav...best time ever. Thanks for thinking your mom still has it

Foodieland @ Cow Palace! It's been a while, so coming back strong with a 6 hit combo: 1) Mano Po 2) Big Giant Squid 3) NOLA Oysteria 4) Drunken Dumpling (missed photo op) 5) Drips Cheesecake 6) #butterbuns The Ensaymada Project 1) Mano Po - Hailing from the northern Philippines, Mano Po is Ilocano style pinoy food. What caught my eye was the longanisa fries. Longanisa is sweet sausage typically eaten for breakfast. Drenched in mayo with super crispy fries. Could have used some vinegar or citrus to cut heaviness, but boy oh boy definitely a treat. The serving size is pretty generous so I recommend doing it the way I did it with the homies - split between 3. 2) giant deep fried squid - Bruhhhh. Literally a giant squid on a skewer then deep fried. Yummy yummy for my tummy! The breading was perfection and the squid was fairly seasoned. But same thought as the first - could have used some citrus to cut the heaviness from being fried. 3) NOLA Oysteria - Yo!!! This is it! lemon herb baked oysters smothered in cheese (those who are lactose intolerant- beware). The oysters weren't overdone and finally someone who gave citrus to cut the heaviness! 4) Drunken Dumpling - who would have thought? So you know the big ole hype on XLB - this place had a PHO option! Yo - the pho soup dumpling was fiyyyyyyer! I could eat 12 of those in one sitting. Yes, the XLB is good but the pho was better. 5) Drips Cheesecake - oh my gulay! Much too much. Basically, it's frozen cheesecake dipped in chocolate, then sprinkled in cereal or sprinkles. The serving was way too big so split the white chocolate strawberry shortcake and my friend got fruity pebbles cereal. Sheeeesh! Sugar overload, but so so so so good. 6) The Ensaymada Project #butterbuns - Ensaymada is a Filipino pastry usually topped with butter sugar and cheese. AUNTY, these are soooo good! I got pandan (young coconut) and dulce de leche. These are to die for. Not too sweet and are like hugs from grandma. So here it is - FoodieLand @ Cow Palace. You snooze you lose!

I came for Kaytranada on 12/29 for my birthday. I have to say, how they had us drop our umbrellas off was very annoying considering it was raining and so many concert goers have umbrellas since it was pouring. I left without my umbrella because I couldn't find it. In any case, this is a large venue with quite a few bathrooms if you are willing to walk around. I will say, for it to be a day of rain I wish they put down more mats for us to dry our shoes on upon entry. Other than that, I had the time of my life. I cried for Kaytranada. He is so amazing. So was Sango!

Cow Palace is back with the concerts!!! It has improved tremendously since 2010. The sound system and the possibility of the venue decor is out of this world! So far, they only have performers playing in the main room. There are other rooms that can potentially be used as stages but they currently are not using them. Maybe for future events? -1 star because they limit the amount of people that can access the floor by handing out a wristband.... And it gets quite hectic for the worker and everyone squeezing together like sardines to get floor access. Le sigh. But viewing from the seats are amazing and you can't go wrong wherever you're at! I highly recommend prepaying for parking so you help the flow of traffic getting into the venue :) purchase through the cow palace website!

Honestly, I have not been here in years. Like when I was a little kid going here for a field trip to see a rodeo. I'm not sure if they still do that. This time around, I came for the low rider super show. It was like stepping into a time capsule. Nothing has changed. I doubt they've even remodeled it since the last time I was here. I definitely will be back next year for the next low rider event.

It's an amazing place to attend any event. I was feel free to look at their calendar and attend all the events .

I've been here several times for different kinds of events. The biggest perk of the venue is that it is large and has lots of open space, as well as a giant oversized parking lot, even multiple levels. This makes it an ideal setting for the annual Great Dickens Christmas Fair, which I attended this past weekend. The setting is so large that it can fit Charles Dickens' London, complete with dance rooms, music halls, stages, and row after row of endless shops and eateries. In other areas of the venue were Christmas tree sales and a skating rink (not part of the Great Dickens Christmas Fair). Parking was a pricey $15, but we got in free because their credit card machine wasn't working (or my credit card wasn't working, lol) and we didn't have cash on hand. Other than the size though, the Cow Palace event center/arena is pretty ordinary. The outside looks old and outdated and lacks curb appeal. But perhaps it's meant to be more appreciated for the history and nostalgia!?! Okay, I guess.

The building was a printing press back in the day, so it's a bit of a maze but that's part of the charm. I've discovered some amazing local businesses. I recently went to their February artisan food fairs, and bought some delicious food products. They had a variety of food vendors: hot sauces, honey, dips, cookies, teas, and more. As for the craft fairs, respect jewelry, candles, cutting boards, and even a few food vendors. That's where I discovered Apisol, a woman-owned company based in the Peninsula that makes delicious sparkling honey beverages. Don't miss the vintage store on the first floor, which has really unique vintage products like postcards, buttons, posters, and more. I never heard of this place until a fellow Yelper brought this up to me and I said SFBox? I never heard or been in this location before and I am sure most of you never heard of this place either unless you search for history of the William Randolph Hearst printing press building so many years ago. The building was built in 1926 as a printing plant for the San Francisco Examiner. It is a nice mixed use building like a nice cozy maze to explore the nice layout and architecture of the old print shop. So upstairs about 2 floors and vendors are scattered so it's like a hunt for them, almost like a needle in haystack. Lol Well it's not that hard as you won't miss anyone. Too floor that where you will satisfy your sweet tooth . Yummy. The vendors that were there were a nice mix from tea, cheese, spices, India coffee , Turkish spreads, ice cream, giant cookies, healthy drinks, spreads, and I am sure you will find something you will enjoy. I don't normally buy stuff, but the honey , red beet, 2004 sweet land Bingdao $95 brick tea that is aged 21 years that can make 175 tea servings for $95, Il Fiorello basalmic vinegar was thick and smooth great texture and syrupy taste very captivating and Taste of Levant tahini and their chocolate jar of molasses was excellent and I had to buy them. Yummy in my tummy! Not sure if same vendors will be there again, so catch them the at your farmers market, festivals or next Eats event!

I worked an event here for a wedding reception a couple of months ago and was in love with the Great Gatsby-themed party. It was both elegant and vintage, with an awesome upstairs area with tiny rabbit-hole bedrooms and a living space with enough room for a photo booth, couches, card tables and a library of vinyl records (you can bet it got me there). And besides it being an amazing space, the workers are what set it apart. Although the hired talent (from DJ to food vendors to wedding planners, etc.) added to the overall feeling of being a GREAT party, the staff is always very friendly, approachable and accommodating. Easy to talk to, easy to find, and they give you enough space to enjoy your night. This venue is fully equipped with a full, open kitchen area (which is beautiful too, by the way) and artsy wall decor all over their bathrooms (but still so damn clean). From 24th Street Mission BART Station, head south on Mission and hang a left at Cesar Chavez. While on the south side of the street, keep your eyes peeled for a large red door, part way between Mission & Van Ness Streets. Walking in, you'll see DJ's in the Radio Valencia booth, busily broadcasting. http://radiovalencia.fm/about/ You'll also encounter a small coat rack, a few parked bikes, and a person checking guests in. He asked about food restrictions ~ I think this is geared for folks who pre-arranged. Since I was a last minute stand in and hadn't indicated beforehand, he suggested that I skip the meat (I've been trying to be more vegetarian these days, although the last few have been the contrary). $10 or $20 bottles of red offered at check in ~ we were lucky to purchase the last bottle. I recommend getting there on the early side if you'd like to indulge in wine. Walking into the main dining area, I came across easy on the eyes ambiance ~ long communal tables, dark, candle glow, high loft ceiling, low stage, brick wall, small disco ball. Attire ranged from date-night dressy to casual. Our pre-fixe dinner included (description from the site): Course 1: Potato and leek soup with bacon lardons & crostini Course 2: Mango salad with mixed organic greens & a vinaigrette Course 3: Seared polenta with ricotta cheese (homemade), chives & apricot jam Course 4: 'Roast beast: cooked slow and low... apple cider braised pork shoulder with apple/cabbage slaw dressed with cider vinegar' Course 5: chocolate cupcake with 'goth' motif in honor of David J. I'm all for (plastic) spider rings, cockroaches and centipedes. Three bands performed between courses moving the evening along. David J (of Bauhaus fame) was the 'headliner', taking me back to the '80's with 'St. James Infirmary'. Highlights of CP included Courses 4 & 5, the 50-seat communal atmosphere and live entertainment. John, the MC, did a great job keeping the evening upbeat and flowing. Chez Poulet hosts special events. My online search yielded a few crumbs as to how to keep a pulse on CP happenings. If you want to partake, my recommendation is to set up a Google Alert, or check on BrownPaperTickets.com. The friend that invited me was there because her friend invited her. This friend couldn't make it , hence I came upon Chez Poulet on this dark and stormy night. Woo hoo!
