The owner is super friendly and answered all my questions and she gets new items in the store all the time. I loved the lavender goat milk soap-- I had to get a few for Christmas gifts and I loved the warm, soft & fuzzy scarf that my grandmother bought. They were closed today (Monday) or I would have gone back and bought more. Definitely stop by and check this place out when you're in the area. Loved it!

The new Southern Roots is a remodeled former vintage home, next to "SERVE by Hallie B." boutique. Great neighbors! Southern Roots offers style for both guys, and the gals: classic looks, casual comfort, and outdoors wear by Patagonia, and other brand names. Classic Birkensock sandals in many colors and designs. Water wear sandals & shoes. I bought a Patagonia "NOH2O" rainproof hooded windbreaker with big waterproof pockets that has done the job when needed, really came in handy. Accessories, hats, sunglasses, accent jewelry, socks, gloves, and more. Staff was pleasant and helpful during my visits. The new Roots at 505 N. Goliad has it's own parking in back, and along the north side. Marked ADA parking space & ramp entry into Roots. So, looks like February 13th, a Saturday, will be a "Block Party" to welcome Southern Roots.
