This shop has adapted well to COVID. I was window shopping while I was waiting on someone, and couldn't help but stop here. They have a hand wash station set up and have mandatory hand washing before shopping, which I appreciated. I took a seat at one of their three shopping tables. A staff member quickly took my order, which was a Vanilla Iced Chai. It was delicious! I asked to see their selection of rings, and they brought the ones in my size right to the table. I opted for a pretty topaz ring for 29.50. They had a variety of other crystals, jewelry, and other spiritual goods. I was very satisfied with my shopping experience and really appreciated that they let me linger there for a while after making my purchase. I'll definitely return! read more

I came to this shop today to find a gift for my sister. One of the first things that I noticed were mugs on sale that read "Cat Lives Matter". I find that to be incredibly tone deaf and insensitive. While looking around the shop I found items with pro LGBT and pro Ukraine messaging; the shop owners taking these movements seriously and promoting their messages without mocking them made the mockery of Black Lives Matter even more evident and disturbing. I mentioned this to my mother and I was reminded that this is the same shop where my sister, who is biracial, and her black friend said that they were harassed out of the shop out of suspicion that they were shoplifting. My sister has never stolen anything a day in her life. She is one of the most considerate and respectful people I know. I see people looking around this shop without making a purchase all the time, I've done the same while being accompanied by white friends - we have never been told to leave the store. Knowing that my sister was racially profiled here, and that they're selling such distasteful merchandise regarding anti racism movements made me feel incredibly unwelcome. Reading their older reviews, I see experiences involving racism dating back to over 5 years ago. It's incredibly sad and disturbing that this is still an issue. I don't recommend that people of color shop here. To be a good shop and to get a good rating, you need to make it a good experience for *everyone*. To be an "earth lover" you need to have love and empathy for *all* humans on earth, regardless of race. Very disappointed. read more

This place is like my spiritual sanctuary and I am always filled with positive energy when I walk thru the door or even obtain my things via curbside. Nice shop, but the half-full bathtub in the back with the 4 koi fish is neglectful. Contrary to popular belief, fish do not "grow to fit the space they are in." They are just stunted. Mature koi fish need at least 3ft of depth and 200+ gallons of water. The bathtub is also gross, with a ring of scum on the inside, and no live plants. The responsible thing to do, if they are unable to accommodate the koi fish, would be to give them to someone who is capable of providing the right conditions. A better fish for that size tub would be schooling fish, like tetras or danios. For a shop that seems concerned with spirituality and nature, it's off putting that they would do no (or very little) research into the fish they purchase.​ read more

I love crystals, minerals, rocks, and all things natural. Love jewelry making. Love what everything means and I love spellwork. This place is pricey and they don't have anything you won't find somewhere else, I was willing to overlook that because they have a very cute cat. This was my sister's bday weekend and we went out walking around. I have been in before and had gotten an overpriced ring but I wanted to go in again and see what else they had. Didn't get anything this time because, overpriced. My sisters did though and as we were walking out, a middle aged, white female worker was sitting at the table inside and told my sister that they should be ashamed of themselves for wearing crop tops. These were long sleeved, longer crop tops and showed just a little bit of their bellies but honestly it shouldn't matter because it's frankly it's none of her business. In fact, it took them a lot of courage to wear those outfits because all people really do is criticize and not compliment. They were understandably insecure. I thought they looked awesome. This completely shut them down. I called the store and explained what had happened and all I was told was that "she was joking". Nobody is laughing. That is a ridiculous response and I don't think anyone should be supporting a business that criticizes their customers. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they didn't have one. I'm livid and disgusted with this shop and the way this woman just laughed at my sisters is horrendous behavior. This lady needs to look in the mirror and fix herself before she ever even considers trying to make someone else feel bad. Think before you speak. YOU should be ashamed of yourself. read more

I am well versed with Terra Blue, it's normally where I get all my witchy supplies. However, I do want to put out a warning for other witches and spiritual practitioners. Every visit I had with the shop has been a pleasant one but today has unfortunately not followed suit. During my visit, a particular associate at the shop was keeping an eye on me while I was looking around. I was looking at the gemstone necklaces when she quickly walked up behind me and then walked away. I didn't think too much of it, I ventured to the back of the store where the very same associate was talking to another customer. I was looking up at the Orisha statues when she loudly greeted me, I felt as though she was trying to draw attention to us and particularly me. She was standing closer to the bathtub and tapestry in the back, so she was speaking quite loudly towards me. It did make me feel uncomfortable. The last straw for me was when I asked her how much a miniature singing bowl was (one/not all of them are priced) she plucked it out of my hand and flipped it over to show me the price in a condescending manner. After that I decided to leave for I did not feel welcomed and I most definitely felt profiled for my looks (I am a witch of color). This experience has definitely shifted my perspective on Terra Blue and I may look for other spiritual stores to shop at. I don't think it's fair how the store uses deities and supplies from other cultures (like the Orisha) yet make an effort to make witches of color from which these deities came feel inferior. I hope that the associate in question doesn't do this to future witches of color that choose to shop at the store. read more

I found Terra Blue after work one day. In new to the area of Greensboro. I can only say that I needed way more time! She has everything you need to do anything! Books were everywhere. Real stones for jewelry making, crystals and more! Being an earthy goddess I found the herbal section my favorite. I love that she offers a variety of sizes preweighed because herbs can be expensive and this makes it worth it. They host classes and have a drink bar! We have been to Mellow Mushroom a ton of times so we have driven by this hidden gem each time. Well the "cat" is out of the bag now. There were the cutest cats in the store but I digress. Glad to have my race questioned by an employee before entering the store. The owner was kind about it and she apologized and I understand it was out of her control. However, I believe the employee wasn't genuinely apologetic or caring and her sarcasm and rudeness was obvious. Even when I left the store after I reported the incident the same lady employee decided to speak to me in a harsh and rude tone saying have a nice day. While the words we're kind it's obvious the intention was more to insult me as I left. I just hope racism isn't a common issue here. However, there looks like to be other reviews of racism here. So, its very probable that it is. The employee was obviously being sarcastic and passive aggressive in front of the owner regarding this issue of blatant unprovoked racism and discrimination. Very cute store with lots of interesting things. You could spend hours in here honestly, just looking around. They have lots of handmade jewelry, crystals of all sorts, incense, interesting figurines and all sorts of peculiar things. I really loved the shop! Definitely will return. I did feel the woman I spoke to was very condescending when I asked relatively plain questions though, made for kind of a weird experience but it's ok. I almost walked right back out then, but decided to push on. I walked in and a man was standing in my way, so I had to push by him. Inside you will find bath supplies and tub toys, tarot readings, jewelery, gifts of the Buddhist/Egyptian/Pagan sort, polished stones and rocks and a great assortment of spiritual books. My husband and I stopped in today on a recommendation from our neighbor. She said they had a lot of Wicca items that I would need/want and I thought I'd stop by because I was looking for a moonstone and some obsidian. I was pleasantly surprised as we walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner with "Welcome! Let us know if you need anything!" They had two fluffy cats that followed us around the store (I think they smelled our cats!) They have a huge assortment of beads, trinkets, stones, incense, jewelry and bath salts. The store smelled amazing with all the incense and bath salts! I found what I wanted and then some! When I didn't understand that I had to write out the stone orders, an employee guided me on where to get the forms and a pen. The employees didn't hover, like they do in some of the other stores. I loved that I could wander through the shop and not be bothered with "Do you need something?" every 10 seconds. The shop was well organized, clean and well cared for. They even offered me a seat to sit at while I waited for the cashier to ring up another customer. We will definitely be back! read more

My family was traveling on vacation and stopped by to check it out, since we don't have a decent metaphysical store near us. I told my older kids that there are two kinds of metaphysical shops I've seen over the past 20+ years I've been frequenting them -- the kind where you feel like you're in a spa where reiki just emanates from the walls, and the kind where you feel like you've just spent an hour in the amazing attic of a brilliant mage. This would be the latter! We had so much fun exploring, and my children were made to feel welcome by the woman. They particularly enjoyed the cats! Excellent selection of crystals, beads (seriously, you could come here just for the beads even if metaphysical shops aren't your thing), herbs (even some hard to find ones), jewelry, and trinkets. Beautiful ouija boards like none I've ever seen. Lovely candles, some charged already and some for workings. Lovely statues, shells, prayer flags, and wall banners, and items from a variety of traditions (Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, Carribean traditions, general Pagan, and general Goddess worship. I've been going to this shop for years and every time I walk in the door I find something new. They have a great collection of bath supplies, candles, stones and beads. They also have a variety of herbs that is amazing and if they don't have what your looking for they will try and find it by calling around town. They have a awesome selection of coffee, so many YUMMY ones it's hard to decide which one to get. You can spend hours in this shop looking at all the great stuff with a coffe in your hand, music in your head and if your lucky a kitty by your feet. You need to make it a point to check them out. I've been in there quite a few times and I do love their selection of items, but I always get the feeling that when I enter I'm bothering the owner with my presences. The last time I was there, the owner gave me a look like "What do you want?" as soon as I entered. I just never get a welcoming feeling ever while I'm there, just a feeling as if I entered someone's private home unannounced. I'll probably still go back because I like some of their selections, but the owner does need to work on her people skills. Also, keep in mind the items she sells are very over priced. A lot of people are voting that her items are under priced, but that is far from true if you know what you're talking about. If you think it's cheap for the quality you're getting, then you are either new to buying Wiccan items or you're trying to be nice. I know there are very little Wiccan stores in the area, but know you can buy the exact same quality herbs and other items in a lot of different stores at a much cheaper price. However, they are all gathered in one spot at Terra Blue, which is nice for convenience. read more

Wow. We specifically stopped here from Virginia to Winston Salem to check out a new place to buy more crystals (you can't have too many). We were instantly greeted by some super friendly folks who work there. Inventory? Holy cow. They have it all. All sorts of crystals in all their forms, which I have discovered is difficult to find. As I write this I am trying to think of something they did not have. I was able to snag two clear quartz crystals and a nice palm-sized piece of labradorite. You easily could spend hours in this place looking around. I took my items to the counter and the saleswoman cleared them for me (sage). I almost fainted. In all my years of purchasing crystals, I have never had a salesperson do this. But makes perfect sense. Later that weekend I went to Kindred Spirits in WS, and though the staff is super friendly they lack a lot of items. When we move to the area, Terra Blue will be a consistent go-to shop for items I use in my professional work. read more

Well I'm making an edit of my review as shops owner has contacted me by email saying to remove my negative review or they can possibly Pursue legal action to preserve the name of the buisness. That's not a good business IN MY OPINON. I personally feel that if you receive a bad review you should work on the issues stated in the review instead of stating you will take legal action if not removed. I will not return and neither will any friends and family or acquaintances. I would also like to state my OPINON on the shop and owner. She is not very personable and I feel she needs better social skills, I also feel that they need to take more time labeling the semi precious stones and beading jewelry or maybe just possibly separating them not by color as it's Likely that customers are placing the crystals and beads back in areas they do not go. read more

I stopped by this beautiful metaphysical store in the heart of the cultural district in Greensboro today. I was greeted by warm and beautiful energy from the owner Sarah and her husband. Sarah is a true Quern Of Cups. A mother to all. They have 4 cats that greet you as you walk around the shop. There's a huge selection of herbs, tarot, crystals, and pagan supplies. I met Melinda the tarot reader and intuitive who does readings weekly. She is not only accurate but has a true gift of tarot and channeling information from the other side. You must get a reading from her. She personifies love. This little shop is one of the best I've been to and full of numerous resources for practicing intuitives and light workers. It's a pagan sanctuary and a safe place for anyone to just walk in and be their true self. They have a coffee bar where you can order a drink to enjoy while you walk around.
