Over deliver, ahead of schedule, exceeding expectations, didn't have to become my own project…read moremanager, trust worthy crew,  over and beyond are some ways I have to describe John J Contracting and this blows my mind because every contractor who has done work to my house over the last 15 years in most cases not one of those descriptive words apply to any of them! To say that I'm blown away by John J contracting who checked off every one of those boxes is mind blowing to me Project was to convert my garage into a utilizable living space  I 1st met with Paul who listened to what I wanted done and put together a plan to help me convert my garage into a dance/music studio for my kids.   His ideas were better then the previous 3 contractors I met with, he took a day to create my estimate and from a price perspective he fell in between the high and the low bids I already had. Paul's professionalism kinda sold me, he was very focused and has a great personality. I wanted him to win the job and he fell in my budget so it made my decision very easy to choose them A day before the projects start date I met with John Joyce the owner who came to my house with Paul. We went over some last minute details and ideas and he had a lot of offer from a design and practicality perspective.   Day one of renovation went amazingly well, Joe was over seeing the demo, he was great and didn't cause any collateral damage to my house. Demo guys sometimes can. He didn't , Framing was overseen by another Joe. He was meticulous and had great foresight to the project. Engaged me with any concerns and we worked through all unforeseen obstacles my garage presented. The electrition and plumber were top notch. They were specialist to there perspective fields. My last contractor had one guy for everything but not certified in anything. Unlike any other contractor I ever had they showed up every day. Everyday there was progress being made to my renovation. Most importantly to me was that Paul and John both stopped by my job site every day and sometimes 3 times in a day. But on average probably twice a day to oversee the progress and make enhancements/adjustments as necessary as the project developed, at no extra charge in some cases, they definitely wanted to do what was best for me and not beat me over the head In the process with additional costs. The project called for 3 weeks from start to finish. They completed it ahead of schedule.  All the workers were trustworthy and personable I felt 100% comfortable to leave my young kids home alone for a short time while the guys were working.  At no point did I have have to act as my own project manager as I had to in the past with other contractors. At no point I had to chase them around just to get confirmations on simple things like "are you coming today? " like I had to in the past Paul picked up the phone I would have to say within three rings 99% of the time. Even on Sundays.  To give an idea of who I used in the past  Allure to do my upstairs in 2018.  They had missed a lot of days and a the PM Chris would never return my calls and once the job started he Just went MIA.  I give them 4 out of 10 stars and would never recommend them. Refused to use them again. I paid 30% more and for 50% less I'm my opinion  CCP contracting Who did a renovation downstairs in 2019.  Owner would not return unless I had sent a scathing text message begging for a call back, and when he called me back he made me feel like I was bothering him. Started my job in mid April needed it done by my birthday mid May and commited to that time frame, and did not end up not finishing till mid June. After the job was done things that needed to be touched up and they ghosted me pretty much.  ( John J actually fixed some of their issues for me) I can't say enough good about John J Contracting, I will only use them going forward, I recommend them to the highest degree.  Do not start a project without giving them consideration James

Review for Just Call Joe LLC At first Joe seemed very…read moreprofessional and said all the right things to get the job. We hired Just Call Joe LLC for a large project including a full kitchen renovation, coffee bar, enlarging our pantry opening with barn doors, two bathroom renovations (one expanded), lighting in several rooms, a ceiling fan installation, utility room renovation, roofing work, and installation of an electrical subpanel. Unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. The project start date kept getting pushed back and once work began there were about 12 no-call/no-show days, constantly delaying the project. The biggest concern was the quality and safety of the work. The electrical work was not done to code. The subpanel had neutrals tied to the ground bar, cut wires inside the panel, and incorrect wire gauges that could have created a fire hazard. Plumbing work repeatedly leaked and had to be redone multiple times. At one point there was a suspected gas leak and instead of using proper detection equipment Joe tried checking with a lighter. I had to purchase a gas leak detector because he did not have one and insisted there was no leak in the crawlspace. Bathroom work also created additional costs for us. Joe was unable to properly install our shower doors and had to redo tile work, which forced us to buy additional tiles. His incorrect measurements also caused us to purchase the wrong size vanity. Other workmanship issues included sloppy caulking, improperly supported drain pipes, improper water heater ventilation, and incorrectly installing a ceiling fan that I had to fix. In the kitchen he installed cabinets without removing the protective floor paper underneath them, which is still visible today. Another issue involved windows he claimed were picked up. After terminating the job we learned he never picked them up and had only placed a deposit. He promised to reimburse us but never did despite multiple calls and messages. The only work that turned out well was a butcher block table and shelving he built. Due to the delays, no-shows, safety concerns, and additional expenses we incurred, I would strongly caution others before hiring Just Call Joe LLC.

I've never had work done by a contractor where there isn't a mix-up here or there or that they don't move quite as fast as I'd like. But, if I was getting that sort of service, I'd have to pay a lot more. It had not been renovated since the apt was purchased in the 90's. He did such an amazing job! Our kitchen and bathrooms look beautiful and so high end! We lived in the apt during the renovation and his workers were always neat, clean and easy to deal with. They also minimized dust by erecting zip walls and constantly cleaning after themselves. We were very comfortable with his workers being here and Tony usually was working himself or coming by to oversee the work done. We saw him almost every day. He is very professional and accommodating. We highly recommend him for any serious renovation work. You will not be disappointed!

Also his main foreman was on drugs slurring his words constantly. His subs are hats but most importantly I gave this guy almost 200,000$ I asked how much to side my main house to match exstension he built he said 15,000$ I had it done for $6300 from another company in 1 day which took his workers 2 weeks. He's a con artist. No one likes a salesman and Roger thinks he's the best! Clown!

4 years ago my wife and I bought the fixer-upper of fixer-uppers. So much needed to be redone that…read morewe decided to gut the whole place, room by room... while living there... with two kids. So that's been fun. Fast forward to this past fall, where we finally decided to tackle the (frankly, horrifying) first floor; kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room and adding a desperately needed powder room. Given that our second floor and attic had already been redone, you could say I've been around the ol' contractor block. We've had some good and some bad, but no one I trusted to do the entire job. As my wife and I were figuring out what we wanted, and could realistically afford to do, my neighbor invited us over to see her newly renovated basement. This was previously a raw space that was now pristine. It looked like new construction in a 100+ year old house. And our neighbor had only the best things to say about her contractor, Joe. We eventually setup a meeting with Joe and he really goes the extra mile from the jump. He and his wife Karin are wonderful, down to earth people who didn't seem bothered by the toddler chaos going on all around us while we spoke. They even took us around to see past jobs of similar scope. Endlessly helpful. When we decided to move forward, cost was obviously a factor. Joe was honest, transparent, and willing to work with us to stay within our budget. Once the job started, it went as smoothly as one could hope. Joe's crew are a great bunch of guys. I won't lie and say that not having a kitchen for 10 weeks with 2 young kids is fun stuff, but they made it as painless as possible. The workspace was always clean and we had a path to our fridge. And they took the time to do things right -- leveling out ceiling beams that could have passed as a template for a skateboard before putting up sheetrock. Joe called regularly with status updates, and to hash out any unclear requirements. He'a got a great eye for design -- making a number of suggestions we were thrilled with -- from room layouts, down to details like a barn door for our laundry room. He suggested cabinets that I had reservations about at first, but ended up loving. He and Karin even came with us to pick out countertops and appliances. Above and beyond. To wrap it up, finding a good contractor is hard and we found a GREAT one, so I was almost hesitate to write this. I don't want y'all booking him up until 2022! I've got a couple more jobs to do!
