Review for Just Call Joe LLC At first Joe seemed very professional and said all the right things to get the job. We hired Just Call Joe LLC for a large project including a full kitchen renovation, coffee bar, enlarging our pantry opening with barn doors, two bathroom renovations (one expanded), lighting in several rooms, a ceiling fan installation, utility room renovation, roofing work, and installation of an electrical subpanel. Unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. The project start date kept getting pushed back and once work began there were about 12 no-call/no-show days, constantly delaying the project. The biggest concern was the quality and safety of the work. The electrical work was not done to code. The subpanel had neutrals tied to the ground bar, cut wires inside the panel, and incorrect wire gauges that could have created a fire hazard. Plumbing work repeatedly leaked and had to be redone multiple times. At one point there was a suspected gas leak and instead of using proper detection equipment Joe tried checking with a lighter. I had to purchase a gas leak detector because he did not have one and insisted there was no leak in the crawlspace. Bathroom work also created additional costs for us. Joe was unable to properly install our shower doors and had to redo tile work, which forced us to buy additional tiles. His incorrect measurements also caused us to purchase the wrong size vanity. Other workmanship issues included sloppy caulking, improperly supported drain pipes, improper water heater ventilation, and incorrectly installing a ceiling fan that I had to fix. In the kitchen he installed cabinets without removing the protective floor paper underneath them, which is still visible today. Another issue involved windows he claimed were picked up. After terminating the job we learned he never picked them up and had only placed a deposit. He promised to reimburse us but never did despite multiple calls and messages. The only work that turned out well was a butcher block table and shelving he built. Due to the delays, no-shows, safety concerns, and additional expenses we incurred, I would strongly caution others before hiring Just Call Joe LLC. read more

Joe and Fernando were great! I have used them twice once to install my shower doors and another time to hang my tv's. First of all they're very punctual and show up right on time. I called him to come on Saturday morning at 9am and he came right on time. I asked him to hang my tv's and he went the extra mile and put all the wires inside the walls which other contractors would not do. Joe and his partner Fernando just completed electrical work, painting, and sheet rock work in my 1840 historic townhouse in downtown Jersey City. The work was completed in a timely manner, with superb results and at a vey reasonable cost. I have had many workers in my home over the 20 years I have owned this residence. The work Joe and Fernando did left me with the greatest sense of satisfaction. I would be confident that whatever work he does will be of the highest calibre, Also Joe is a great gentlemen and just great to have around. I called Joe to help us out with modifying my father in law's bathroom to make it more accessible, as he couldn't step over the tub anymore and we didn't want to do a full on bath remodel. He removed the tub and installed a beautiful shower stall as well as replacing the bathroom vanity. It was done in a day and a half with little or no inconvenience to my father in law. He was neat, responsible, informative and professional. I will use him on any future projects and recommend him to all! read more

Joe Todisco took complete advantage of us and our kindness. He started our project and never completed it. He played on our heartstrings with his woeful stories to buy more time. Then promised to come back this Spring 2016 to complete the job and has never come back and won't even return our phone calls. Of course after getting practically all of our money. We had a great experience working with Joe and his team recently to complete some renovation work in our house. Similar to the previous review, Joe was recommended to me through a client of a friend (nyc real estate agent) who had worked with Joe on a couple of projects in NJ. I felt that Joe went above and beyond to complete the work in the estimated timelines, which was really important for us because our project was especially time-sensitive. I have nothing but fabulous comments to describe my experience with Just Call Joe. I initially reached out for an estimate on a deck after being ripped off by another contractor. He stopped by the same afternoon, sketched out the project and told me he would be in touch the following day with an estimate. He followed through and we were ready to move forward. As we were working through the details of the project, an existing tenant gave notice to vacate a rental unit in less than 4 weeks. Joe did a walk through and identified serious issues in the bathroom. He immediately brought in his team who ripped out the entire shower and floor, including the sub-floor, and left me with a beautifully renovated bathroom in its place in just a few days... in time for a new tenant. He and his co-workers were efficient and meticulously neat. I was impressed by his thoughtful communication regarding materials, pricing and pros and cons of various options. He was consistent and communicative - there were no surprises. He came up with creative ideas to solve for various challenges and did not push the most expensive options. During the renovations, they protected the floors, removed all of the debris and worked with me on pricing. They did such a great job that I referred Just Call Joe to both a friend and colleague with fabulous results and feedback. We are now moving forward with a new kitchen rehab, including a custom made island. I would 1000 percent recommend Just Call Joe for all of my home projects. Joe is very nice and professional. I asked him to help me get my kitchen faucet replaced. It is a three-part piece. He could have charged me more, but he wanted to honor his quote provided earlier over the phone. I also asked him to help me get rid of the mold in my bathroom, which will take hours and cost me a bit. He advised me to take care of it myself since I can. He gave me very specific instructions on how to do it. I am very happy with the faucet he installed. A couple of days later there was something wrong with the sprayer I bought. I called Joe and he came right away to check on it. He also put some caulk around my sink just to be safe. I don't drive and am busy. He offered to get things from Home Depot if needed. In addition, he gave me advice on what should be replaced in my apartment and recommended the best timing on when to get it done. I highly recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors. read more
