We then tried to come together on a larger project. Unfortunately, this didn't come together. While we agreed initially on the SOW and he offered a fixed fee bid on the project. I assumed that meant a completed SOW for a fixed fee. I believe he really meant a capped TM bid with no performance guarantee, and 100% payment in advance. It was disappointing to lose a talented vender over a potential miscommunication. However he is young and rather than pick up the phone and make sure we were trying to get to the same place, it was a classic texting SNAFU.
