I have had numerous issues with this company regarding billing. They sent me an additional bill 5 months after my appointment. I had paid in full at that time. At least that was what I was told. The charge on this new bill was for something I didn't receive. I called and told the rep that. She said she would look into it. I then received a bill with the same amount owed but with no Information about what the additional charge was for. I was then contacted by a Debt Collector. I told them that if I received an itemized bill ( which other medical providers always do) I have no problem paying what is fairly owed. Then I received a bill for nearly three times the amount of the original bill! As with the earlier bill, there was no explanation about what the charge was for. Like the previous reviewer I have been with Dr Harris for many years and had excellent care and never an issue with billing and payment. But I don't think I can continue to see her at that location. At this point I have no trust in MyEyeDr and won't use their services. So I most heartily do not recommend this business. read more

steer clear of myeyedr. my exam was in june 2024; it is now late march 2025...and i just got an outrageously high invoice, nearly $600. first, what took so long to receive the invoice. second, i have insurance that fully pays for the exam. third, the price i was quoted when i purchased the glasses is not the price listed on this invoice. not only that, there are other charges related to the glasses that, while at the counter trying on the glasses, i was repeatedly told was not extra. i was quoted a price for the frames and coating, etc., and i paid that amount out of pocket the day i had my exam. when i went to pick up my glasses, i asked whether i owed anything else. "nope, you're all done!" was the response. and yet, nine months later, i receive a mind-blowing invoice that could match a mortgage payment. what the heck????????? shame on you, kim harris. note to the person who replies to these negative reviews: save the response to my negative review. don't waste space with empty words. but do prepare to hear from the pa state ags office as i plan to file a complaint against your organization. i hope others who've left negative reviews also file a complaint for hidden medical fees, shady business practices, etc. i also plan to file a complaint with the better business bureau. if you want to expose this company, which is owned by goldman sachs by the way, take the time to file a complaint to either the state ags office or the bbb. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Harris for years, had my appointment at her old office, but had waited to order glasses. I had expected similar excellent service when I went to My Eye Dr. to select frames. Her old office would check to see if a particular frame was available in other colors. At My Eye Dr. It's what you see is what you get. They do have a nice selection, and with the help of a very skillful assistant, I found a frame I liked. She told me I would notified when the glasses were in. Weeks went by. I finally called and was directed to use their online system to check on the status of my order. Found out my glasses were ready for pickup. When I stopped in, I inquired why I hadn't been notified. The assistant stated that my record didn't state that I should be notified. She handed me a bag with the glasses and suggested I try them on. I had to ask if it would be all right if I sat down at a mirror. She never asked if the glasses were okay or checked for any needed adjustments. I had to interrupt her conversation with someone else to see if I needed to sign anything. I guess I expected a level of customer service that is only available with independent opticians. Now i am faced with the dilemma of either staying with Dr. Harris, whom I like, or looking for another optometrist/optician. read more

Worst customer service ever. Want in for an eye exam (which the Dr was great) but when checking out was told I had a $39 co-payment. I have never paid a co_pay. Well, I didn't take any money or cards with me because I did not need them. I asked why a $39 co-pay and was told it was for the medical... What the heck does that mean. Turns out that a test they did(and never asked me to do) has a fee of $39. Asked the young man at the counter what time they closed and I was told 6 pm and I offered to bring the money back at 5 pm when I get off. Well, that wasn't good enough. So I told him to call the police because I'm leaving and am not paying. At this point, it told me to go just go your dismissed... Needless to say, this pissed me off. So I went right back to my work got the $40 and took it back in and paid the bill. I also let him know that he's a PUNK and he will never talk to me that way again. He's not my superior and will never take orders from him. So please don't ever use this company ever. read more

I went there to have my yearly eye exam done to check that the diabetes has not caused retinopathy. After the exam I was presented with a bill for $143 stating I had no insurance. When I inquired about why I didn't have a co-pay instead of paying the entire price I was told it was being billed as a routine eye exam and not a test for retinopathy. Lovely facility but be sure they do the billing correctly. Sadly I will most likely need to find a place that accepts my insurance. read more

Communication and customer service at this office is horrible!! I waited over 2 months to get an appointment at My Eye Doctor and had to leave work early to make the appointment on time. Only to get there and find out that they canceled my appointment because the doctor I had an appointment with wasn't there. I understand they can't help if a doctor isn't there, but call the patient and inform them that the appointment was canceled instead of waiting for me to show up. I could have been looking for another appointment this whole time, now I have to wait another month for my next appointment! They actually asked me if I wanted to reschedule!! Are you kidding me! Maybe if you would have been courteous enough to call me ahead of time and explain the situation to me, but not now! My Eye Doctor, you've lost my business for good!!!! read more

This is a terrible office. I have seen Dr. Harris for years and didn't realize when I set up my appointment she is now affiliated with this business. I was not notified ahead of time that I would need to pay an additional $50.00 for a test that they use in this office. I have insurance, I have never been charged more than my copays for anything in the past. They were willing to waive the $50.00 copay this time, but as I sat there I heard another person in the same situation being charged a $50.00 copay in addition to benefits. This is poor business and not transparent at all. I decided to cancel my appointment. Terrible and the front desk help was not very nice either, especially when I asked to cancel after hearing them doing the same thing to another patient. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. Sorry Dr. Harris, you were great, but not sure this was great for your patients. I wish I could give negative stars. read more

Love that the staff was all wearing masks and being safe. The eye doctor was amazing. However when it came time to discuss getting contacts, the staffer who helped was very pushy about signing me up for the rewards program they offer. She went over several options. I declined to order contact at that time so I could think about the options she had given me. A week later I received a text that my contacts were ready for pickup. When I called to inquire about the nature of the text message. I was informed that the lady who had helped me had submitted and order and signed me up for the rewards program. Not only that, she had misquoted me on the cost and I was charged an additional $76 without my approval. To say I was not happy was an understatement. I only have two stars cause the Eye doctor was amazing, the rest of the staff, not so much. read more

I went in for an appointment... told them I needed contacts and a new prescription for glasses as mine was expired. I also told them I only wore a contact in my left eye and since my prescription for glasses had expired I had been wearing 2.50 readers. Everything went great with check in, the exam with the doctor and check out. My insurance paid for most and I paid $214 out of pocket. I called them within a couple days to let them know the sample contact I was given seemed like the prescription was off and they scheduled me an appointment. I went for the appointment and told the doctor my vision with the contact (2.50) wasn't clear, so he said he could adjust it and gave me another one to try at (3.25). The (3.25) contact is giving me headaches so the girl scheduled me another appointment. Meanwhile, they've already ordered my contact prescription for (2.50). but the doctor said they'd get me the correct ones. When I picked up my glasses when they came in the prescription seemed ok but as I was walking out the lady said..."you're not wearing them to drive are you?" And I said yes because I got glasses so I could wear them when I wasn't wearing my contact... her response was those are going to be blurring because they are readers!!! Now I'm pissed!!! My contact prescription isn't right and the glasses I thought I was getting are only readers! My appointment to get these issues corrected has been rescheduled twice because everyone has an emergency and/ or is sick. I'm left with no contacts or glasses. When I tried to let her know of my frustrations Torie kept cutting me off mid sentence and told me I could go to another location if I wanted to. When I asked to talk to the manager Mandy was told me wasn't available. When I asked to speak to her manager again was told that person wasn't in either. Customer service is horrible! There should be a doctor at the location if the business is open and if one doctor is sick then there should be someone there to cover! The staff is very friendly when you're checking in or when you're checking out spending money but lacks sympathy when it comes to correcting mistakes. read more
