I'm now in my third year of coming to this location. After my first review, Heather (the office manager) reached out to me. That meant a lot, so I thought I'd stick around. Last year I had minor issues while picking up my new sunglasses. The lenses were swapped. They fixed it, so not a huge deal there. We're all human, mistakes happen. My complaint is for June of this year. Dr. Garcia was great. He adjusted my prescription since it said it was under corrected. Fine, eyesight can change, I don't have an issue there. I picked out a new pair, and picked them up. I tried them on, and I couldn't see a thing. I wear progressive lenses, so it seemed like the measurements were off. One of the girls checked my measurements and agreed they were off, and sent them off to get them fixed. Got the new pair and tried them out and the same thing. I asked if I could swap the frames, since maybe they are not a good fit. She said fine. She didn't offer to help me find anything new, so I found something and crossed my fingers. Fast forward to now. It's now 3 months after my initial appointment. I go in the third time to get my new glasses. I tried them on and they seem a little bit better. The girl at the front desk (the same one that helped me the last few times) said to just give it time to adjust and to try them on when my eyes are rested. I also mentioned that they feel a bit off, I thought they maybe just needed to be adjusted. After adjusting the nose pads, she said to just try them out and come back if needed. I don't want to come back a 4th time! There was another technician sitting at one of the desks with no customer (the office was empty) but there no offer to assist either. I finally just walked out. The office staff (especially the girl that helped me several times) is not very helpful. I always feel like I'm bothering her and that she doesn't want to be there. I was also told that Heather would contact me about the difference in my glasses and I never heard back. I don't know if I owe more money, or if I am owed a refund. These new glasses still don't feel right. I'm struggling to find the "center". They do need to be adjusted, since they are digging into my ears. For that, I'll just go to a different eye place for assistance. Hopefully I can find a place that will actually take the time and care to assist. At this point I don't know what to do. I've worn glasses my whole life, and I've never had an issue like this before. Transition period yes, but never the struggle to find the "center" of the glasses. I needed new glasses before my benefits expired and was thrilled that I could book an appt online within a few days. Upon arriving, the office is very clean, beautiful aesthetic, very appealing, and the parking (although a bit awkward because of the downtown area) was very easy to find. I was very happy to be there, but initially found it a little odd that the staff doesn't wear any identifying uniform. I also work in the medical field and it can make it confusing for people to know who to go to for help, questions, or checking in, when staff is moving around and unidentifiable. Staff was kind, but not overtly friendly either. Just "here's the paperwork, have a seat" vs "welcome! We are so happy to see you!". Paperwork was easy and simple, which was wonderful and wait time was very quick (which is wonderful!)... things got a little odd for me here. I excused myself to the restroom and let the front desk staff know, as I was waiting to be called to the back. When I came out, Dr Garcia was just standing outside the door. I had never met him before. It was just an awkward stare before I asked if he was the doctor and if he was waiting for me. He seemed a little irritated and said "yep. I'm waiting for you." And ushered me in the door. No hellos or anything. I tried to make conversation by saying "it's nice to meet you", to which he replied "have a seat". He asked me some questions while flipping through lenses in front of me, asking which lens was clearer (tweaking my prescription). He then became a little condescending, noting some things were slightly off on my tests, but "there's nothing to worry about; it's not as if you have a family history of glaucoma." I replied that I did, in fact, have a long history. No one had asked me. He then asked me three separate times *if* and *how* was so sure it was glaucoma and not cataracts that my many family members had, saying once "are you sure you're not confused?". I replied "I am sure of the diagnoses because I drive them to their surgeries and appointments". It just felt so weird being sort of talked down to in that way-- intentional or not. The whole exam with Dr Garcia probably lasted five minutes and was very easy, not painful or stressful, and I was given my Rx for new glasses. The jewel in the practice was the sweet lady with colorful hair (I hate that I am forgetful and cannot recall her name). She helped me find gorgeous glasses that fit my face so well and that weren't expensive. She helped me get what I needed and didn't push the things I didn't need. She helped me navigate my insurance to get the most bang for my insurance dollar without breaking my own bank. I have been in medical customer service and consulting for around 20 years and you don't find many gems like her! (TL/ DR) All of that being said, Dr Garcia did seem very knowledgeable and I felt like the exam was very thorough, however he just does not have a warm or friendly bedside manner. Some doctors don't and they are still great at what they do. If you like things short and sweet, no nonsense, he's going to be a great doc for you. If you need that sort of extra care and friendliness, it's probably not the place for you, though. read more

Let me start by saying, I have no idea why other yelpers have given this location such poor reviews. My family of 6 all had eye appointments at this location today and it was a wonderful experience. Not only was the staff super friendly and accommodating, but they were on time and extremely efficient. We were all able to get in, get Our eyes checked and pick out glasses in about an hour and a half. Plus....they are super affordable glasses! If you are wondering if you should give this place a try, just do it. You'll be happy you did! read more

I am a diabetic for over 40 years and I have to watch out for diabetic retinopathy, etc. I found that Doctor Danny Garcia in Cartersville, Ga is a breath of fresh air. He is not going to push you into buying glasses or sell you something you do not really need. Give him a chance and you will want to come back for your exams. read more

We found out about MED through an advertisement. I was past due for an exam and my boys had never had one before. The process was easy and the staff was patient with my first timers. My only negative was that I was unaware of the $15 co-pay per person and I rarely have extra money. It took what money I'd saved and planned to take them out to a special dinner with that evening. Overall I was very satisfied and this will definitely be our eye doctor in the future. Parking in front wasn't great because of traffic, but there's a small parking lot to the side. The hours were convenient. The staff was friendly. The office was clean and well lit. The only problem I've had is that our visit was almost a month ago and we're still waiting on my older son's glasses. Both mine and my younger son's glasses came in within a week. read more

i accompanied My 86 year old mother for an emergency return to see Dr. Danny Garcia at the Cartersville, GA MYEYEDR Optometris. Upon Dr Garcia entrance into the exam room he was obviously irritated. There was absolutely nothing that was professional about the 5 minutes he gave my 86 years of age mother. she was a current patient and she was having swelling from a medication that he prescribed. it was painful to watch a Dr have such an unprofessional and impatient bedside manner. Do not go here. My first time here, the doctor couldn't find my prescription so he sent me to a retina specialist to make it seem like that was the problem. I spent money on a specialist to tell me nothing was wrong and to go back. He then checked my eyes again and found my prescription to then tell me that I will have to just stick to my old prescription and "put up with it being blurry" because my eyes can't handle monthly contacts when I only tried one pair. This guy is lazy and doesn't really care. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

The assistant flat out lied to me 3 times about the status of my glasses. They had told me it would be 3 weeks. I called the third week about the status and was told the glasses would be ready on Wednesday. When I go there Wednesday I'm told that the truck had not been there yet so I couldn't pick them up. Saturday I call again and am told that the frames were on back order so they sent the store frame for lenses and it would be another 3 weeks. The assistant was insistent that she told me all of this even though she definitely did not. read more

Was not pleased with the service at all. Ordered the wrong contacts for me and had bad attitudes. I wouldn't suggest using them.
