I ended up getting my frames at the Mequon location because this one was closed on 12/30 (and I wanted to use my insurance) due to Omricon. While the frame selection was smaller at Mequon, the staff was very helpful and I found a pair. They delivered the glasses to this location. There was a mixup in the lab and they returned an empty frame so it took longer than it should have.

The quality of the exam and the selection of the frames are the best I have found in the MKE area. My only reservation to recommend Be Spectacled is how difficult they make it to select lenses once you have picked out some frames. An associate literally read aloud my options off their computer monitor, without clarifying the costs or features. When I selected the basic lenses, they said I didn't want those (then why even offer them?). I never really understood what I was getting or paying. I didn't even see an itemized receipt until I picked up my glasses ($275 for lenses, oof). It all felt rushed, opaque and like I was getting up-sold at a car dealership. If they would be more clear and transparent about lense options and costs (maybe put it all on a flyer you can hand to the customer), this place would be an easy five-star review.

I don't think I've been able to see properly for a couple of years now. So early 2020, I made an appointment with Be Spectacled. And, well, the pandemic lockdowns hit and the appointment got canceled. Then, you know, worldwide uncertainty and next thing you know it's 2021 and I've still not had my eyes checked. I'm happy to say that changed recently. I made my appointment, had my eyes checked, and got my prescription. They have a nice selection of glasses to choose from and are super helpful in finding your pair. "What style are you thinking of trying?" she asked "Bold frames!" I exclaimed with confidence apropos of nothing. And, bold frames I got. And, now, I can see the world. Shining. Shimmering. Splendid. Get to it!

The lady at my Initial visit didn't give me a receipt or my card back but they did call. She told me I could get a warranty when I picked up if I wanted they never offered that option at pickup , granted I had been running around to dance class soccer and swimming probably looked a wreck with three kids but still deserve the best customer care. Have used other locations before and will never go back to this location again just terrble. I will go get my adjustments done elsewhere! Shame on these people. They have state of the art equipment (the digital photographs of our eyes are incredible!) and a large selection of eyeglass frames and contacts. I tell all my friends and family about Brookfield Vision. One of our family members had an eye emergency that could have led to a complete loss of vision. Dr. Winter at the Sussex Eyecare Center is by far the best! His exams are very thorough. What I appreciate is that he explains to you exactly what he's doing and the results. He takes the time to listen to any eye concerns that you have and works with you to determine the best approach. It is obvious he really cares about his patients!
