The prescription was not the same as my sample lenses. Because the lenses were purchased at Costco and one used before, I realized what was wrong, I was stuck with $200 of contacts I could not wear. They asked me if I would like a re-exam and I refused, what good is it going to a Dr. who already screwed up. Temple was kind and understanding but limited on what she could do. I received a questionnaire from the corporate office and filled it out with the facts (as above) It stated they would like to talk further and asked if it was ok to call. Of course. That call got action. Temple, who had already been so caring called and explained who the new Dr. was. What he would do before selling contacts and they offered a free eye exam. I agreed, with some hesitation and embarrassment. It was not necessary as they were welcoming, and the new eye Dr. spent about 45 minutes making sure the new contacts would fit. He even recognized I did not want daily wear contacts and gave me a test pair that were really comfortable. As fate would have it my husband hit my hand when I was placing a contact in my eye, and we have never found it. Upon calling, Temple, I was given a new pair and explained I didn't feel I was reading menus as well as I could. They included another contact to try, after talking with the Doctor. Contacts are now comfortable, and I am able to read a menu. I am going back again. Great difference with a doctor who knows what he is doing from one who does not.

I went to pick up my new lenses for my glasses today after waiting over two weeks for the new lenses to be done. Erica told me the lenses did not fit my glasses and they had to be retraced in order for a new set of lenses to be ordered, which is going to take another two weeks!! Why was this not done correctly the first time??!!! Last year, I had to get a new set of glasses and lenses and the lab scratched my lenses and I had to wait about three and a half weeks to get the glasses!! When I did finally get the glasses, the lenses were scratched up!! I had to get the lenses fixed again!! This is ridiculous and unacceptable! The only reason I am still coming here is because of Dr. Megan Avilia, the optometrist. She is delightful and a pure joy to be around. Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to find another optometrist. I am not going to put up with this anymore. The location needs to find new professional staff to work in the lab who know what they are doing. I would not recommend this particular location for your vision care. You will not get your glasses done correctly the first time around!! Find another place!

I'm not saying other optometrists are not knowledgeable, he just has a way of "teaching" and without assuming you understand everything. He speaks in layman's terms, and always makes you feel encouraged to ask questions. His staff is second-to-none, very thorough, polite and professional. Highly recommend!!

The office staff were incredibly friendly and a pleasure to see! The technology they've invested in is fantastic. The Dr. was excellent! She listened, gave great advise (saving me from future trauma even), and then went above and beyond to order me trial contact lenses- What I absolutely loved was not only that the service and care was wonderful, but I got those trials in exactly a week and all I needed to do was swing by and pick them up. At the website, I request an appointment, include my insurance info, and then don't receive any confirmation at all (strike two). Couple of weeks later, I call the office to confirm since I hadn't heard from them AT ALL and left a message. Two days later someone called at 8 AM but didn't leave a voicemail. Still no confirmation. I call back and finally get a human that confirms my appointment. A week before my appointment, I receive AT LEAST five calls from an unknown number reminding me of my appointment, and requesting insurance information via phone. I call, get stuck in their call routing software, leave a message, and no one ever calls back. The day of my appointment, I drive 40 minutes to the office for them to tell me that Dr Mann had an emergency and I should have received a call. There was a call from an unknown number, but there was no message. I WILL NOT BE BACK.

The charge was if they see you, not just for the phone consult, and he apologized for the incorrect information. I was so impressed with the speed in which he responded and got me in immediately, as well as a follow up appointment for two days from now. So glad they followed up with great care after the mix up, I wanted to update my review for the positive. I got poked in the eye by my son and tried to call the on call doctor. They informed me that it would be $169 just to be connected to the on call doctor. I find this to be absolutely absurd that for an eye emergency I can't even talk to someone. What absolutely terrible customer service, I have never once had to pay in order to talk to someone for an eye emergency. Shocking, beware if you're thinking of becoming a patient there, hope you never need someone after hours.

Located by the Palladium in Carmel, this place is in a nice brick building that has a private parking lot out front. I walked in, had to fill out paperwork and then was called back for my appointment. They did all of the normal tests and the girl who was getting basic info from me before the doctor came in was incredibly friendly and easygoing. The doctor was very personable and helpful as well, and even showed me the photos of my eyes and described every little part of them and what to look for. He also went beyond prescribing a prescription and gave me intelligent information on new 'anti fatigue' glasses that are supposed to help the eye strain most people are now experiencing after looking at computers all day and let me know my Lasik options. Tip: He said that Indy has one of the best Lasik surgeons in the entire country, so be sure to go to him if you get it done and not some place that is cheap (he said each eye should be about $2000 and if it's less than that, you should be concerned). Good to know! The icing on the cake was the woman who checked me out and ran through my insurance afterwards. Not only was she able to tell me exactly what my insurance covers in terms of contacts/glasses, but she also had my year-long contact order in stock and brought them out to me in a cute bag. So happy I don't have to make a trip back! Also, with the $200 rebate they came with, I'll be getting contacts for the cheapest I've ever gotten them which is awesome.

Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable, and there were a lot of tests conducted and I never felt like they were trying to push me to buy anything extra or get something I didn't need. They gave me a free sample of eye drops and also in the eye exam found an issue with my eye that I've never even been aware of and recommended how to treat it so I'm really happy. The doctor was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel like he was rushing through anything. I highly recommend!
