She said she'd never heard of that. I told her the abbreviation is DVT. She telephoned someone behind the wall but did not get an answer. So, she left to ask the practitioner about DVT. After a few minutes she returned and said I should go to the emergency room. No ultrasound could be performed at their office. I told her DVT is my best guess but I had come to the walk-in clinic so that a health care provider could tell me what was wrong. I was dismissed without the benefit of an examination and told to seek medical attention in a setting that would be far more expensive for me and a waste of hospital resources. If I am supposed to engage in self-diagnose then they should have taken my advice and written a prescription for a blood thinner. I won't waste my time a second time.

St. Luke's Internal Medicine has been my primary medical care provider for over a decade. I did…read morechange doctors within the group once, in 2002, due difficulty in getting in to see my original doctor. I've been happy with my care there ever since. All of the staff are friendly and cheerful, making the visits less stressful than they might be otherwise. The lab is on site so you can get that taken care of without going anywhere else, and if you need an x-ray that's in the same building too. In fact just about any specialist you might get referred to will be found in that or the adjacent building. My visits with my doctor are thorough and I feel like he spends more time with me than other doctors I have had. I feel like I get very good care. They take most major insurance plans. My company changes insurance providers frequently and so far I haven't had a problem. The time you spend waiting is kept to a minimum. You are usually called in within minutes of your appointment time and once in the exam room rarely wait more than a couple of minutes. The rare times the wait has long, it's been because my doctor was tending to an unexpected medical emergency with another patient. One other plus? Since it's an Internal medicine group, the very spacious waiting room contains only adults. You will not encounter sick kids running all about coughing and sneezing on everything.

Goes over all meds, vaccinations, health concerns, etc. Exams body parts required. Very pleasant. But plan ahead cuz he's difficult to see otherwise. I read several reviews about Dr. Singh and was very excited about choosing her as my new doctor…read more This review is based on my experience with this doctor, her nurse, and from the front office staff at the St. Lukes Internal Medicine office located at 4321 Washington Street. -When I arrived 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment I was told that Dr. Singh usually runs anywhere from 1-2 hours behind schedule. I waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room. I asked the other patients in the waiting room who were also Dr. Sigh's patients, if this was normal. They all said yes. Her normal wait time is 1-2 hours with a scheduled appointment -Dr. Singh suggested I get some tests done. She said the testing facilities would call me to schedule the appointments. I waited one month and no one ever called me. I called the testing facilities and they both said they still had not received a referral. I called the front office staff at Dr. Singh's office and they did not know what to do. The staff members told me that their office never faxes referrals to facilities nor do they handle the actual transfer of the referral. -I had my tests done finally. I received a few test results via mail. There are some test results I never received. As of 05/29/15 I still don't have my test results from 01/15. I have called and left messages with Dr. Singh's nurse to have the results read to me. The nurse did call me back once and said that Dr. Singh would call me to read it to me. I never heard back from them. -After receiving some test results and never receiving others I have not been contacted by Dr. Singh to do a follow up on what is causing my illness. -Dr. Singh was very friendly. However, she did not discuss any type of follow up plan, she never called me to give me my test results even after I had called, and she didn't make any attempt to show she cared for her patient. Additionally, during my physical exam Dr. Singh seemed to make some judgmental and insensitive remarks. As a result of the experience above I had to seek out a new doctor. My new doctor has asked for my medical records so that she can finally tell me the test results. Unfortunately my new doctor has asked twice without any success of obtaining my medical records from Dr. Singh's office.

When I would visit her she remembered personal stuff and would ask about my life, she would talk about medical stuff that was going on since I last visited her, sometimes she even gave me that hug I needed. I was truly heartbroken when she moved to urgent care a few years ago because of family obligations. Since that time I moved around the Olathe Health Systems and really wasn't happy with the doctors. In and out, push the patient through, no concern for the overall person, and no review of the overall medical profile. I decided to move my primary care to KU where I see specialists in other fields in order to help keep my files together and in hopes of overall more cohesive care. When I first visited Doctor Polsak to establish as a patient, I was not prepared for how the visit would go. Doctor Polsak came in the room well versed on my health history. I was impressed that she took the time to review my files so she was prepared with what questions she needed to ask and how to best serve me as a primary doctor. She was very thorough in reviewing my medical history, any needs of mine, and took the time to get to know me as a person. Based on the past few years with OHS, I was blown away. This was the care I was missing since my long time primary care doctor left. While not excited for doctor appointments, I am excited to have a PCP that truly cares for her patients. If you are looking for a new PCP, I highly recommend making an appointment with Doctor Polsak!
