I was then referred to Dr. Roith and immediately appreciated the way he looked for and addressed the "root cause" of my foot pain and developed a surgical plan accordingly, as a final resort. My shoes have to actually help my feet as I go about my day, and The Foot Spot has helpful employees and a nice selection of shoes for people who realize that good shoes may be an expensive investment, but they're worth it in the long run. For my running & walking shoes, I wear Brooks or Asics. I don't believe those brands are available here, but the store Elite Feet has them and they're easy to find online too. For summer shoes and special occasion shoes I like Foot Spot's selection the best. They have brands like Vionic, Tape, Wolky, and Finn, to name just a few. Most of them are still pretty to look at and not screaming 'I have problem feet that are hard to fit so I have to wear these butt ugly shoes' like used to be the case. There are many choices for men & women here. You probably won't find anything less than $60 and they can go upwards of $200 or more, but they do have a sale room filled with lots of great deals- I scored some darling New Balance rose gold sandals for only $27!! I previously had an orthopedist who specializes in feet do bunion and hammertoe surgery for me. Every step was excruciating for 6 weeks. He didn't tell me I would have metal rods coming out of my hammertoes for 2-3 weeks, or that it would cause screaming pain when he pulled them out. I certainly had no contact with him except for one office follow up. His personality was very rigid. I asked him if he trained in the Army, he said "no". I have terrible feet (thanks mom!) and put off another surgery for over 10 years due to this horrid experience. I decided to see Dr B because I'd heard only accolades. I was so surprised to see how personable a surgeon could be!! It is rare, especially in this day and age. He took care of two ingrown toenails in the office, on the spot! Heavenly!! He explained everything about what my options were, drawing pictures on my feet and answering all my questions. I felt at ease and confident about proceeding right away. He operated on my hideous and painful bunion, a little toe bunion deformity and a disgusting hammertoe. No prong this time sticking out for torture, but a dissolvable pin!! He gave me several methods to contact him, which shocked me because usually surgeons do the procedure and as little followup as possible as they only can bill once for everything. I thought perhaps I was getting special treatment. He said "I do this for all my surgery patients". I've got to tell you, that is SHOCKING!! Dr B is an extremely skilled surgeon (the whole thing took 50 mins) and I had NO PAIN for 3 days, then only mild-moderate pain when stepping on the for 2 weeks. I only took 15 pain pills, and I"m a wimp. Even more important to me, he is a real mensch! He is easy to talk to, funny, caring and doesn't have the typical surgeon ego and mentality. I told his staff how lucky they were to work with a doctor like him. I asked it he was always nice and funny and they said "absolutely" He is my lifelong, go-to foot surgeon for the rest of this gal's life!! My dogs are no longer barking!! As far as the comments are about the office being less than stellar, who cares? He has several offices and a huge overhead. He pays his staff well. He spends time with patients. This all costs money. I can do without flat screen TVs, aquariums and marble floors. It's not like he's doing any major surgery there. Just my opinion...

Due to his pleasant disposition & sense of humor, I stayed with him through all 4 surgeries but was not given the necessary information for good follow up care to lead to success from the surgeries. His office visits were generally overbooked & or visits were cut short. This lead to more visits every week for awhile & uncertain feelings about how to take care of my feet. Now, nearly a year later, another Dr. is giving me the necessary information to continue caring for my feet. I am doing my best to recovery still in a much longer timeframe than Dr. Bembynista advised me of & am disappointed in the overall outcome of the surgeries.

For background I am a former collegiate football player and multiple deployment USMC veteran. I was paired with Dilyn Schooley who asked lots of questions to ensure that he understood my particular circumstance. On the very first visit my pain abated and my progress has been steady in a positive direction since. We began with nerve flossing techniques, McKenzie exercises and dry needling. We worked on core exercises and graduated to various versions of the same exercise and added new ones. Between the chiropractic adjustments, PT and the home based regimen we created, I am realizing the greatest period of relief in years. My issues are chronic, and require diligence, but the progress until now, October '24, cannot be overstated. Dilyan, the amazing administrative team at the front desk are always helpful and accommodating. I can call or schedule appointments via text. I recently had a billing issue with my insurance(what else is new) and the front desk and I got it sorted. I don't do online reviews but the service and care this team provides is more than deserving. If you come here there will be a plan, it is up to you to listen and work it!
