I was severely and permanently injured at a Denver-based Target store. I was being stonewalled by…read moreTarget Corp. after filing a claim, so I contacted Queener to see if they could help me. The person assigned to sell me on Queener made a lot of promises and said things like, "We go the extra mile. We take great care of our clients. We will have your back!" Unfortunately, the next six months told a very different story. They took my case, signed me up with a legal agreement and other paperwork, sent me their welcome package, etc. They had me release all my medical docs, pics, and other evidence to them. Over the months that followed, my case was passed around between multiple staff members- apparently due to high turnover there. I sent them all my medical records, photos, details about how I was injured, etc., but I never got to speak to the attorney, Jennifer O'Connell Moore, about my case. In fact, I never even met her. After six months, when she finally did call me personally, it wasn't to discuss the case or move it forward - it was to abruptly tell me she was dropping me as a client. After first refusing to give me a reason, she finally said that she didn't believe my case was strong enough. In that six months, nothing meaningful had been done on my case at Queener Law. Being injured and in pain with your whole life and future affected in a major way is very stressful. Six months is a long time for an injured person to be left in limbo by their attorney, and it made life even more stressful and discouraging. When I got my file of back from Queener, we discovered photos and documents with another Queener client's name and other details on them mixed in with my docs. Then, in a five-day Federal jury trial in November of 2025, the jury awarded me a $2.7 MILLION verdict against Target Corporation, determining that Target was 100% at fault- a rare finding in liability cases. My case is on record now as one of the highest amounts ever awarded in personal injury cases in Colorado, and the third largest against Target Corp. nationally!
