We have been through some scary times with our treatment and I am grateful for Dr Marina who really seems to know what he is doing and for Dr Russell who has the best bedside manner of any doctor ever. The issue is the complete chaos that the offices are running in. It seems organized, but after many visits I can attest that it is not. We have had our orders misplaced numerous times and I have to remind the staff we are still waiting. if you have to call the doctor or to speak to a nurse, I wish you luck. I have attempted phone calls so many times and it is a full time job to first - get someone to answer. They don't. 2nd, if you leave a message about 50% of the time the messages will be delivered to a department in a completely different building/department/medical area or administration! I've been called back by digestive disease, maintenance, different doctor offices that aren't even in the cancer area..just to name a few. What is really bad about that is they tell you they will return your call in 24 hours- so if someone calls you back after waiting a day- you start the clock all over when you try again. There have been times that I have played the phone game for whole weeks. It is very frustrating and when you are dealing with such a serious diagnosis, that experience doesn't help. I feel like they are sorely understaffed. And I hope it isn't because they are trying to keep to a budget because after looking at the amount of money my insurance is paying for our treatment, I know they can afford a few more people to help!! I want to share this experience because there is an option in Tallahassee and I am wondering what our treatment days would be like if we had chose the other provider. I do want to give a shout out to the infusion center side. They must see hundreds of patients a day and do seem like a well oiled machine. However, they have had bad days too. Our meds always have to be prepared after we are in the seat and they have cleared us for treatment which means we have to wait for the pharmacy to make it. Some days this takes 30 minutes. That's how long it should take. So when we have to wait for two hours I know something is wrong and have to start asking. My advice, don't be afraid to ask if they now you're still waiting. They are busy and may not realize it. If you find yourself in the situation where you are looking at options for treatment, my best wishes to you and your family!!

I had an absolutely disappointing experience and extreme lack of professionalism with my…read moreinteractions with this office. I felt like nothing more than a quick cash grab and here are few of my grievances. I specifically requested NO narcotics for my recovery from surgery. I was instead prescribed twelve Hydrocodone that were included in my prescriptions upon pick up. I advocated for myself and my medical history in this office and I was ignored. I then got a follow up bill 5 months after my visit informing me that I owed them over $2,000 for the medical code being used for sedation. This was after I had paid in full for my surgery at the time it was performed. This was doubly frustrating as I had requested preferably no sedation and just a topical or localized analgesic. The doctor was adamant I needed to be put under. After calling my insurance and verifying the codes, not only did I not owe money... but I was overcharged. I have now been waiting over five weeks for my owed refund. The first check was sent to the wrong address because even though I spent the time to update my address on my forms during office visits, it was never properly entered into their system. I can't in good faith recommend this practice and would recommend traveling a city or two over for your oral and facial surgery needs as that would be an easier process in my opinion.
