Dr. Gambacorta is wonderful, so if you can tolerate the reception and billing, he's worth it. The receptionist is often condescending and preferential. Over the years she never apologized for her scheduling mistakes, in my experience, even when I showed her the reminder emails from the office. But she'll say hello to the men! Some other policies are questionable, no doubt about it. I stopped going when I realized the consistent pattern of her behavior during long waits to be seen (usually 45 minutes, fyi), and the discomfort I felt upon leaving each time. read more

I spend my winters here in Myrtle Beach, and last year I was referred to this office for my back issues and maintenance adjustments through the winter. Dr. Gambacorta helped me a lot, and the staff was great. This year when I returned, I wanted to resume my chiropractic care with this office, but when I called in February to make an appointment for an adjustment, I was told he couldn't see me until June. When I explained that I was in crisis, they refused to help me. I have since found a wonderful chiropractor, who took me right away and is helping me considerably. Dr Mike as he likes to be referred as, is a snake oil salesman and nothing but. He sells stem cell injections to people, like myself, who he knows they can't possibly benefit from. But will benefit his pocket. I went to see him and paid 5k for the injections and got zero benefit from them, and no refunds. Stay away from this office, far away. Big rip off. read more

When my back issues got so bad that I could not walk or stand I thought surgery and a long recovered imminent. When a friend referred me to Myrtle Beach Spine Center I gave them a call and they got me right in. 5 weeks after not being able to stand or walk, I was able to resume normal activities. While I am still receiving weekly treatment, it's hard to believe the progress that I have made. From the first call for an appointment of your first visit you are treated with concern for your well being and the entire staff is working to get you back to your best life. I would recommend Myrtle Beach Spine Center to anyone who is experiencing pain. The entire staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is extremely positive. Dr. Mike is always thorough while answering any questions I may have. They are not just after your money. I woke up one morning and could not move my neck. I called and they told me to immediately come in, free of charge. I did not have to wait at all once I got there. I walked out feeling 90% better and the next day I was at 100%. I have been experiencing back issues for 10 years. In just 2 months, twice per week, I am able to increase my activity without feeling pain. I am truly grateful for Dr. Mike and his staff. read more

I went to the Spine Center for a problem in my low back and hip. After spending nearly $2,000 dollars plus what my insurance paid I'm still having the same problem. Each patient is asked to complete a computer questionnaire each time plus other written forms occasionally, none of which were discussed with me. I stated the spinal decompression did nothing for me but nothing was changed. I even paid for a session by a substitute doctor when Dr. Mike was on vacation. It was basically a waste of time and money. I was surprised when this doctor entered the room as no one advised that Dr. Mike was not available. I asked for an itemized bill at one point and was given a lump sum and was told my insurance carrier could call with any questions. When given the quote for continued treatment I stated I still owed money for previously given treatment and progress was not as I had hoped it would be. I was told to review the info and someone would call for a follow up. I'm still waiting for that call. While I feel Dr Mikes adjustments are the best I've received, the other treatments are a waste of money. I asked if I could just get the adjustments and was told the cost for the adjustments would increase if that was all I was getting. read more

I have been a patient at Myrtle Beach Spine Center since it has opened here at the beach . The highly trained staff is very friendly and knowledgeable . I have I trusted this facility with the care of my whole family. I can't thank them enough for the care they have given. Plus, just a shout out I have been seeing Dr. Torri for weight loss with the help of HCG ! 20 Lbs lighter in just a couple of weeks !!!! I was pre-diabetic and had to lose weight , I can't believe how easy this is . I tried everything to lose weight and this by far is the easiest , fastest way to do it. I drive about 30 minutes one way to this office. I have visited this office about 12 times. The first time I went there I was torn between this is a great run office with people that really care or it is all about the money. After 12 visits my conclusion is it is a little bit of both. Dr. Mike is extremely friendly and his staff is as well. However I'm more inclined to think that it is guided by $ signs rather than patient care and experience. For example on two occasions I was a few minutes late and the receptionist called me basically wanting to know if I was coming and when I would be there. Translation, we are very busy and our time is valuable why are you late. Yet over 50% of the time I get ushered from room to room or table to room or doing tests that they never give me any feedback on or they are trying to sell me something. Translation we are very busy so let's keep the patient occupied so they are not just sitting there. Today was the final straw. I had a test done I didn't need, then to a table, then a 20 minute plus wait in a room and was never acknowledged so I left. Never has the Dr apologized for running late. My conclusion. If you have time to burn, great Dr. and great staff. If your time is valuable like mine is I know there are better options. read more

The worst experience ever! I took my 7 year old daughter there for a massage due to muscle tightness in her neck. They told me they needed to take x-rays then told me she had a condition that would require multiple treatments or she would have growth issues and arthritis. They were aggressive, manipulative, and more concerned with getting my money than helping my daughter. My daughter, son and I left their office in tears. I received a second opinion (and second set of unneeded x-rays) from our family doctor that completely contradicted what I was told at Myrtle Beach Spine Center. My family doctor told me that no further treatment was necessary based on her findings. I felt completly taken advantage of and lied to. I hope that I can prevent someone else frombeing taken advantage of also. They have deleted my posts and blocked me from Facebookbut I am determined to get the details of my visit out to the public because I truly feel they preyed upon me and family. read more

I have been going here since the end of October, when I started I was having excruciating migraines on pretty much a daily basis. I had been in 7 car accidents in a three year span close to twenty years ago. I neglected my health because I couldn't afford to get it fixed, but it got to a point where I couldn't stand it anymore, so, honestly, I went to the place that was closest to my house. I went for a consultation and had some x rays and was given a plan to make up for 20 years of neglect. At first the progress was slow, but I got a little better each time. I was going three times a week but now I'm down to once a week and soon once every other just for maintenance.
