While wandering around Bourbon Street, I found myself searching for a local palm or tarot card reading experience. From the outside, you almost can't tell if they're open. Between the bars on the windows and the dim lighting, it feels a little mysterious walking up. I'm so glad I decided to open the door and check though because the gentlemen inside were incredibly welcoming. They took the time to explain all the different services and types of readings available, which made the experience feel comfortable and approachable, especially for someone just doing it for fun and curiosity. I ended up choosing a tarot card reading as it provided more of the information and experience I was looking for. What made it even more interesting was that my reader mentioned having a background in family counseling and therapy, so some of the conversation felt deeper than just a typical "fortune telling" session. It was nice hearing additional perspective and guidance alongside the actual reading itself. Pricing felt fair and I actually received more time than originally quoted for what I paid. I never felt rushed, cutoff, or pressured, and I was able to ask as many questions as I wanted. Fun, unique, and memorable experience for anyone wanting to lean into the mystical side of New Orleans while visiting.
