Terrible! Whole place is dirty! It seems like, since I was the only customer getting gel nail polish, the other workers would do some cleaning rather than sitting, waiting to go home. The man got mad at me 3 times for not holding my hands the way he wanted them. He stopped at one point & looked me straight in the eyes, very rudely, just stared at me (a foot in front of me, while holding my hand) LMAO! I said, "I'm sorry, I can't turn my finger that way!" I was able to make an appointment and get in no problem. The pedicure portion was clean and they made sure to keep everyone spaced out. They require masks and have hand sanitizer available all throughout the shop. My nail tech worked very fast and had shaky hands. The shop was not busy at all so there was no need to rush through my service. My pedicure was good but was told my toes were dry when they really weren't. My big toes are now messed up and smudged. He rushed through my full set and cut me with buffer tool. I'm so disappointed. I'm going to go back and see if they will fix my big toes. I totally disregarded fellow Yelpers' thoughts (BIG MISTAKE!) and gave Mystique a try after a lady at the gym recommended this salon. Ugh...I called several hours ahead and made an appointment with Kelly, the owner. My appointment was at 5:15p and I arrived 5 minutes prior. The salon was busy, but most of the customers were in the back of the salon at pedicure chairs. I checked in w/ the receptionist and she told me Kelly was finishing up a client. I was a few minutes early anyway, but when someone says they are finishing up - I take that as about 5 minutes - - MAX 10 minutes. At 5:30, 15 minutes AFTER my appt, I got up and asked the receptionist how long the wait would be. She answered a few more minutes. At 5:40, I was moved to a station. I sat there wondering what was going on and ready to leave. I knew leaving would only waste MORE of my time. At 5:47 (32 minutes AFTER my scheduled appt), Kelly sat down. No, "sorry for your wait", nothing. I was pissed. At least acknowledge you have greatly inconvenienced me and wasted my time. I am willing to bet if one of her clients showed up 32 minutes after an appointment time, she wouldn't fit them right in. Why should the customers be expected to do anything different? Look, I have been having my nails done 16 yrs, I know salons and techs run behind at times. However, if the receptionist had said, "she's running about 30 minutes behind", I could have at least gotten up and walked around some other stores, then returned. The most aggravating part was that NO one acknowledged how long I waited. Now for the final kick to the face, the fill turned out horrible. Usually after I leave my nail salon, I bask in the awesomeness of "fresh", perfect nails. I sat under the dryer dying to get the heck out of there. I've been getting my finger nails done here for a few years and the service and fees have been good. I usually just walk in and use who ever is available. There was one technician who would make some of my cuticles bleed, but she is no longer there. Other wise I have no complaints and find the fees reasonable and the service quick and relaxing. read more

I went here to get a Brazilian wax. I was taken back in a small room by one of the women who works here. She began the wax and I told her the wax was too hot and was burning my skin. She ignored me. She continued with the wax. I told her again and she said it's because it is hot wax. During the wax I had to ask her to change the plastic gloves she was wearing because they were sticking to the wax and pulling at my skin when she would pull up the wax strips. She then proceeded to wax over a previously waxed spot with hot wax to get some stray hairs. She burnt my skin several times. I started to cry at this point. After she was mostly done, she put HAND SANITIZER on the waxed area. She said she made a mistake and thought it was aloe. It too burned me. I jumped off the table at this point and got dressed. This was the most excruciating wax I have ever had. I have been getting Brazilian waxed since I was 18. I know what they consist of and how they are supposed to feel. This incompetent woman physically burnt my vagina. I called the manager the next day and she said she could not refund my money until she saw the damage. I explained to her that I am physically burnt and that this was not my first wax. She said she couldn't do anything about it. I am so disgusted with this salon. Don't waste your money read more

Prices are reasonable. Service is the same as in all locations in and around Lawton area. I have not find a nail salon here in Lawton that can reach the level to my nail stylist in Chicago. I will try out other salons. Therefore I have to say that the quality in Mystic might be not A+ but the prices for service is reasonable. I went here for my 23rd birthday, my twin and my mom we all got our nails done. So I asked for stiletto nails in a nude color. I repeated it probably 3-4 times. The guy who did my nails filed my nails down to the nub (I'm not even exaggerating) and painted my non-existent nails with shellac. The whole process I kept saying I wanted long nails until my sister stopped him and another girl had to take it off. The owner or whatever kept talking shit about me, pointing and rolling her eyes the whole time then rang me up $50 plus the removal like $15 I think. My sister ended up having hers taken off too because they messed her up that same day. My mom just had her painted and a toddler could have done a better job. She went back and had them remove the police 2 days later because it was hard to get off. Needless to say we all had to pay for the service then the removals. It was probably the worst experience I've had ever. we werent even the only people in there. Personally I'll never go back. Stay away. My mother is visiting this week and she wanted to get a pedicure. She want to Mystique and right when she came in she told them she has eczema. Immediately the woman started speaking another language and shaking her head. She heard one man that worked there say it wasn't bad but she kept shaking her head and saying no. My mother was devastated and embarrassed but didn't want to show it so she asked if they would at least paint her nails. I wish I would have checked Yelp prior to going to this salon because I would have saved myself a lot of trouble AND time. I went to this place after needing an eyebrow wax as well as 3-week old gel removal and manicure. I did not get the name of the older Asian man that was doing my nails but he was HORRIBLE!!!! Like many Yelpers I have been getting manicures, pedicures, acrylics and gel done since I was 16; that's 14 years of experience watching what should be done regarding removals of gel and manicures. The man I went to buffed a portion of my nail so much it burned one of my nails. I yelled "ouch" and pulled my hand back and there was no acknowledgement of what just occurred. No sorry or anything, he just grabbed my hand back and continued. Usually I am quick with my tongue and eager to depart a horrible salon with choice words following me; however my husband has warned me about my chastising people so I stayed quiet and figured I need to get the hell out of here. After taking the gel off, my hands were socked in water (JUST WATER!!) for a couple minutes then my cuticles were "cut and pushed back", when I tell you this man barely pushed back my cuticles I could've had my puppy do a better job. To add insult to injury the nail polish placed on my nails was thick and filled with air bubbles. THEN when it came down to massaging my hands and arms with oil and lotion as a hot, wet towel THERE WAS NO MASSAGE!!! He splatted everything on there then told me to wash my hands which included my ENTIRE ARM. I was so irritated. STAY AWA FROM THIS PLACE!!!! This was my first and last time at Mystique. I've went to mystique 2 times. First time I had a manicure done with gel polish and it was a good job, lasted me 3 weeks. Next time I went not only had the price went up $4 but then my gel polish was peeling within 3 days! $30 bucks for 2 days of pretty nails isn't worth it to me. I have been getting my nails done every other week since i was a teenager and never have i had someone come to me 10 minutes into my service and ask me to pay for a service i haven't even fully received. (she did it, not only to me but to 2 other customers sitting next to me). i was a little upset and annoyed that she would make me pay before i was even comfortable enough in a chair but i let it go and paid and even tipped on my card. after that, everything went down hill from there. The man who was doing my pedicure was super rude and his tone was like i was wasting his time and he didn't want to be there. once my pedicure was done he rushed me to get to his station so he could start on my hands. Like i mentioned earlier i was getting shellac. He started off with my cuticles (barely removing any cuticles) the whole time while he was paining my nails he was rushing me and making me feel like he had somewhere better to be. He wouldn't even let he nails dry under the UV light the full timer time. Once he was done and was wiping my nails at the end, some of my nails where smudge and matted since he wouldn't let them dry the full time. Before i could take a breath to explain to him that some of my nails where not done right. he was already up and picking up his station even disconnecting the UV lap. TERRIBLE customer service and sloppy work. I'm visiting a friend and we decided to get our nails done before I leave. I was unaware that asking for "gel nails" just meant the color and no manicure, since I've been getting gel nails every two weeks for almost two years. My nail artist thought I said "collagen" not "gel nails" and proceeded to just paint my nails. When I asked him about taking off the cuticles, he proceeded to argue with me that I said "collagen." I thought it was taken care of after he did a cuticle treatment after the polish, but as I was sitting with my friend only about 5 feet away from the nail artist, I hear him complaining about me to his current customer, and he's the owner! On top of everything, the nails were sloppy, and the polish removal actually was hurtful sometimes when he was using the drill (I've never had a painful experience). When I tried talking to another woman at the counter, she argued the owner wouldn't complain to other customers and that my nails were fine, and kept backtracking when I tried showing her the nails. She ended up charging me $20. I looked at the reviews before and was a bit apprehensive, but I gave them a chance because my friend got her acrylics there, and I've never been so disappointed. After waiting an hour, I finally got in and after sitting down with the technician, I had to tell him to change the towel and clean his utensils before starting on my nails. He got mad and was very rude to me. When I signed in, I asked for gels. What was done was Acrylics with a thin overlay of clear gel...supposedly called "solar nails". When I brought this up with the receptionist, Meg, she informed that if I wanted "real" gels, I have to tell them that up front because only one person in the salon does those. What the hell?? Gels are gels...so I was charged for solar nails ($40) and the friend I went with, who got the same thing, was charged $35. Not only did they charge me for a service I didn't receive (I did nails for a few years before moving to OK, so I know the difference between different types of artificial nails) but they were rude and the receptionist tried to explain the solar nail thing to me, even though she has no idea what she's talking about. I will NEVER go here again. The salon floor might be clean, but the mani/pedi stations are NOT clean and neither are the tools they use on clients. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to contract a fungus or a disease and then be overcharged for crappy service. Not worth the 1 star. read more

Went to Mystique yesterday for a pedicure and I was underwhelmed. I happened upon it the night before while out to dinner. The decor is nice and it looks very clean. There was no line, so I was immediately whisked into the chair. Now, the massage chair was turned on immediately and I have to tell you, it was the roughest massage chair I have ever sat in. But, to be fair, I could've asked the technician to turn off the chair, but didn't. My nails were and cuticles were trimmed and I was given all of the treatments listed under the deluxe pedi menu. The reason why I gave it a low score is because of the foot/leg massage. My absolute favorite part of a pedi is the mini massage you receive. The massage was seriously lacking and the technician asked if what she was doing was hurting, which I found impossible because she was barely touching me. All in all, it was a decent place, but I think I'll be trying a few other places. read more

Maybe they are old but I went with a friend to this salon yesterday (July 2012) and we had a wonderful expierience! great manis and pedis! they have 10 chairs for pedis and lots of tables for manis its very nice and relaxing the chairs and amazing with tons of massage options and the drying area has 8 seats with dryers for hands and feet! it was very nice and I will definatly go again. The salon is spotless, open and light. I wish the owner was as nice as the decor. The female owner does nice nails and mine looked great when she was done. However, she is pretty unfriendly and does not seem to care that she is. She was recommended to me (but I was warned she wasn't really friendly). I have seen her several times and it's so uncomfortable sitting there in cold silence across from her. It's not that she is quiet or shy - she just is very unfriendly. She had also made a couple of rude remarks to me on separate occasions about my skin color (I am really fair) and an accessory that I had in my hair. It was insulting to me and completely inappropriate for a business owner to speak that way to a customer. I won't pay for someone to be rude to me so I have been taking my business elsewhere. Seriously, this is the owner?? I guess she hasn't learned that to be a good business owner she needs to make her customers feel welcome and appreciated and she needs to model that behavior for her employees.
