Nail shop located in Lawton, OK. Plenty of parking shared with other businesses. Reasonable hours opening at 9:30, and the few times I've been, I've been seen as soon as I walk in the door. Unfortunately, each time I've come, my visits have left much to be desired. When I walk in and request a fill with powder I'm told they can do that and directed to a specific nail station. When I get to the nail station and begin speaking with the nail tech, they either look confused and have to speak with the lady at the front desk and I end up getting powder colors OR like today, I get told that they don't do powder nails on fills (which is weird because I've gotten this done on two separate occasions at this nail salon). Ended up going ahead and getting my nails done here for the final time because by the time he told me all this, he had already started on the fill. There's no consistency in nail quality although the nail techs are usually pretty polite. I'll find another place to get my nails done in the future. read more

Jack and Ivy are the best. Jack did my pedicure and he was gentle and thorough with my service. He took the time to shape and fix toenails, and was so gentle with my massage. Ivy shapes your nails the best and has style. She listens to my quirks of being boring with my nails and makes just perfect. Highly recommend coming here and making this my go to spot. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received here. I went in for a simple fill-in for my acrylics (on my feet), which should have been a straightforward process. Instead, I ended up sitting in the pedicure chair for three hours. I had one damaged nail and asked if they could enhance it with acrylic. They said they could, but it was clear they were struggling and unsure of how to fix it. Despite my repeated requests for them to address the issue, the quality of their products was poor and the overall experience was very negative. It seems as though the staff lacks the necessary skills and knowledge to perform this service. Which is fine but I wish they could've told me they didn't know how instead of having me sit there for three hours as they figure it out. I will not be returning to this salon and do not recommend it to others. read more

Wow. Lucky first choice. Service: Staff is friendly. Easy to call to check availability for manicure & pedicure. Little miscommunication issue -- I requested availability for 5 people on walk-in...they said yes but when I walked in with my 2 sisters & 2 kids they could only take 2 of us at the time. My 2 sisters were taken care of first. Myself and my niece had to wait til 2 more staff became available AND During service, kindly offered water or soda (unfortunately my niece was offered soda & she was quick to grab it. I would prefer consenting with the parent or guardian because I do not allow her to have soda but since she was already given that when I was finishing washing my hands I could not prevent from happening). Covid precaution: Everyone required mask. Temperature check at door. Required to wash hands before serviced. Everyone spaced out (i was able to wait next to my family but during service we were spaced away) read more

So to start they fit me in and I only had to wait 20 minutes which didn't seem to bad considering they were very busy. I appreciated that. I had someone start my full set, and then without telling me anything she moved back to another customer and had me sitting for at least 15 minutes. I had a reference photo which I will add below. She said she could do it. When I got switched to an older lady I showed her what I wanted. She asked me to pick out the colors so I did, but I told her I couldn't find a glitter one that matched what I liked and asked her to pick. She picked something very off but I liked it so I said yes. While she did my nails she made 6 out of the 10 of my fingers bleed which has NEVER happened to me before. I have never been in pain during a nail appointment. As she kept nicking my skin, I would jump and she never even apologized. When I went to wash my hands blood was pouring out of my pinky. When I came back to her she noticed and put some blue liquid that stopped the blood, at this point my fingers especially my pinky was throbbing with pain. She continued to roughly buff my nails, and also cut two of my nails funky but I didn't complain. I get coffin is harder. When she began painting my nails the reference photo I showed her had a matte finish. She tried to start decorating without putting the matte so I nicely asked. After some searching she got the matte. When she came back she painted my nails with the cover, and then started struggling with decorating. The flakes were nice but she didn't put a top coat on so now only two days later the flakes are almost completely gone, the gold lines were placed and she couldn't get them to stick at all. Again nothing over top to help it stick so those have fallen off as well. She went to do my other hand and I had to remind her again to do the matte topping first which she wasn't going to do. I shouldn't have to remind her, and she tried to put the wrong stuff on the wrong finger and I had to pull my finger back and give her the right one. I obviously paid for the decorations and for them to last two days is ridiculous. The pain I experienced was also ridiculous and I would never come back here simply for her. Which sucks because everyone else was nice and they have great reviews. She needs to know to apologize when she is hurting someone especially when I am visually uncomfortable. I even tipped her though so I didn't take anything out on her but I won't be back. Just giving feedback. read more

I've tried like 4 or 5 salons in Lawton and Elgin and this is the best one, especially for women in the military. Lisa did this set, but I've had a few different people and they've all done a great job. It's never along wait, I always do a walk in. They last longer, are not ever bulky, always even. This is a hidden gem! I was looking for a good nail salon to go to in Lawton, and this place has stolen my heart. The location is a bit hard to find, but the building seems brand new! They treated me very nicely, offered me water and soda, and took amazing care of me. The seats are super comfortable, I liked the whole ambiance, and the dryers are great. Lots of nail colors to choose from and they always have enough techs for walk-ins. When I walked back to my car, I noticed my thumb had gotten chipped, so I walked back and they fixed it right away for me. I will definitely be back! read more

A doctor I worked with recommended me to this place and I wish I heard of it sooner! The staff is so friendly & it's always great going to a nail place which serves you beverages. I usually like calling before arriving to see what the wait currently is, and they got us in and out of there before the rush. My friend and I both got the Lavender Pedicure, highly recommend. (That mint mask is always satisfying with a hot towel). The prices are very fair for what you get. I would come back, but I am unfortunately moving far away from Lawton. But, I will say this place is the best in town. read more

I went to a different salon to begin with and saying my nails were horrible is an understatement. I was able to come in here 24 hours later and I was taken care of. The salon is clean and has a calming atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of others. They listened to what I wanted and provided it an then some. My nails are beautiful and have found my home spot. Loved everything about my visit!! read more

My sis-in-law and myself went in to get Shellac manicures. We were immediately seated and the staff was friendly enough, but the actual service itself was less than par. We both had polish on skin, and the polish is rough and bumpy. I even have some nails that aren't even covered completely. read more

I visited Essence today for the first time. I was not able to get into my normal place, and after visiting 3 or 4 other packed places, I was concerned I was not going to get my nails done today. This place got me right in for a pedicure and dip! It was clean, and I felt very comfortable. The deluxe pedicure was great, and the girl who dipped my nails did the best job of any place I have ever had it done at. She even did them ombré and they came out beautiful. Great service and very friendly. We were from out of town and decided to get pedicures at the last minute on Sunday afternoon of July 4th weekend. Even though it was shortly before closing they took all three of us and we had amazing specialty pedicures. They provided excellent service. This was a horrible experience for me, I was there before a large group and they say me down with chemicals and foil on my fingers, I ended up with that on waiting until everyone in the large group was done with pedicures. The chemicals burned my fingers and ate up my nails. I only wanted a manicure. I HAD pretty long natural nails, I asked them not to cut them down. By the time my visit was over (2hours) later my nails were so short the skin under them was showing. The paint job was awful they had left paint on my fingers and the tips were crooked. I would not recommend this place and Inwill not go back. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Got a fill with Leah on Tues. I showed her a picture of a design which she confirmed she could do, but she had her husband attempt to do the design. He could not do it either. She told me to come back when the tech that sits beside her works because she can do better designs. She should have said she could not do the design when I showed her the design, so I could have found another while she was doing my fill. It was close to closing time, so she was not willing to try another design after I requested them to remove the flawed design. Fast forward 3 days.. on Friday, 2 nails broke off (not chipped) unexpectedly somehow. When I returned to the salon, Leah advised she could fix them, but it would be $5 PER broken nail plus an extra $5 to replace the rhinestones that was on one of the broken nails. So I could get my nails fixed that were halfway done 3 days prior, for an extra $15. She said she only guaranteed the fill by the cuticles and anything to do with the tip of the nails, she'd have to charge. Needless to say, I left because I was not going to pay AGAIN (I just paid full price 3 days prior). read more

I went today as a Mother's Day present. I have tried several other Nail Spas in town and just never found the perfect one for many reasons. This place, though, is seriously my new favorite!! She took her time, took care of the details and never seemed rushed. I got a pedicure, shellac on my nails and my eyebrows done. All were done perfectly.
