I enjoyed Mythos the first time, but the second time I came here I noticed that the service was much different (in a bad way). Food: I ordered a premium mojito and Yaourtlou, same as before, except the second time was different. The "premium" mojito was watered down and served in a smaller glass (different than before), the fries were hard and oily, and the pita bread was hard as a rock. I am so disappointed. Restaurants are not only measured by the food but also by the service provided. In our mexico city vacation, We have experienced wonderful customer service from upscale restaurants to street vendors. My party of 7 had been enjoying a LONG day of sightseeing & were exhausted, so decide to have a light dinner before bed. From the moment my party was seated, the server, Fernando Aceves, was rude & unprofessional. It was very apparent that he did not want to serve our table. He was rushing us to order even though closing wasn't for another hour. Then, he literally threw a spoon on my friend's place setting instead of placing it. He didn't provide the table bread & when asked, he stated the restaurant had no bread today, which seemed unlikely. He did not serve a drink that was ordered, and then when asked about it, he lied and stated we had canceled it. He would not come to the table unless called repeatedly. He was standing visibly, not doing anything. Then, when tipped, he complained about the quantity. Tips are EARN based on service provided. He did not deserve a tip, but I was forced to leave one because the machine did not allow me to press 0 for tip. As we walked out, he complained to a colleague within ear shot stating, "see, I told you". It is very apparent he profiled us based on our exhausted appearance. Try the octopus (dinner portion); awesome! Pair it with red wine as well. Not a bad dinner scene for business or personal. Nice romantic area and secluded from major traffic (not so loud). Close to hotels and nightlife (as well as desert spots). English is good here as well read more

Very good Greek restaurant in Polanco. We stop by this place and we found a real and delicious traditional flavor. We will go again.

This is a Greek classic in Mexico. Because of it's quality and excellent reputation, it's a beacon of activity at the north east corner of Lincoln Park in Polanco. I was told that Mythos is the older brother of Ouzeria just a couple of blocks down towards Polanquito. Cozy atmosphere, great food, attentive service, authentic decor. My favorite dishes here are the Mousaka (better than mom's, don't tell her), the pastitsio (also the best I've ever had), octopus and the lamb chops. read more

Avoid this place. The service is terrible. Constantly steering you to the most expensive items on the menu and being very pushy about choosing the desired tip. As for the food: ordered a soup as an appetizer. It was very old and not fresh and I suspect had gone bad. The waiter did not seem to care. The lamb was cooked very unevenly and there was nothing great about it, despite being one of the more expensive items on the menu. Another note: there were no locals at this restaurant and only tourists. That tells you that the only patrons are those who will probably never return, and hence no reason for the restaurant to improve. read more

Great place fore Greek food in the city! My girlfriends and I stopped in for a bottle of wine and some tapas. The service was great and the food as fantastic. We got the scallops, shrimp, Greek fries, feta, and house made titziki which was amazing! Highly recommend! read more

Anyone who posts a negative review must have it confused with another restaurant. As you can see from my other reviews I am a sucker for a good Greek place and this was great. It's gorgeous and service awesome. We had lunch and started with the appetizer tray of most of their dips, spanokopita, grape leaves, etc and it was delicious. The Gyros so good. Greek salad we chopped up and added some salt and pepper and perfecto. Absolutely will go back! read more

Looking for food in the Polanco area we decided to try out this location while wondering around Polanco. We chose this place because it was just jammed with locals. The service was great and they were very patient as they stepped us through the menu. We ordered a few appitizers including a sampler and the gyros. Unfortunately, we did not really enjoy much of the food. Everything seemed to have a fishy taste to it. Some items were very salty We never made it to a main course deciding to cut our losses at the appetizers. With lots of greek options at home, we are probably spoiled. read more

It was New Year's Eve, so we were willing to forgive a lot. However, an hour or so into sitting there we were concerned that we had no waiter - had to grab waiters rushing by just to get a menu. The concern intensified when my wine was served in a dessert glass. Two hours later, our main courses arrived (after the appetizers failed to show up) quite cold (of course, the appetizers were on the bill, which had to be corrected). The manager was apologetic, but did nothing to rectify the situation. The food that did arrive was mediocre, at best. Didn't feel welcome there. read more

Excellent food in a nice "see and be seen" place in Polanco. I love the mini gyros and the cheese with honey and sesame seeds. The menu is ample so I would definitely come back to try more dishes. read more

Very average. Wouldn't ever return. Didn't come to Mexico City for Greek food so it served us right. Wondering around Polanco at 9 o clock on Easter Sunday gave us few options. read more
