But do spend a little time though- going through piles of costume jewelry, small metal furniture plus other uncommon finds.

A shiny aqua Vespa sat in the sunny parking lot. Once inside, it's floor to ceiling and every nook of space inside countless curios of treasure. Tiny apothecary bottles with 19th century medicinal "cure" labels; taxidermy specimens of all sizes; antique plates; shaving brushes; modern swords, shuriken, even a batarang; glassware smoking paraphranelia; and a delightful selection of canes. The second room contains a wondrous wooden dry bar with red velvet and iron barstools where the owners sometimes sit with friends. Swords and animal heads are mounted on the walls. I found treasures that are different in the best way. I brought home the cutest wool "bootie" slippers, an amber ring, & DARLING pottery from Poland (a mug, tea bag holder & ornaments.) I felt good supporting actual humans I could speak to & make a connection with. People making a life for themselves, not another corporation. Win/win. We happened to wander in on Small Biz Saturday, and were able to cover a lot of our holiday shopping for our children (the substantial discount for the day helped was much appreciated, even though the prices were very reasonable for a boutique like this), and pick up a couple things for ourselves as well. Everything is well-curated, and the selection of the kids' stuff in particular is perfect for my daughters, who are probably not alone in their deep devotion to all things pink and sparkly and rainbow and unicorn. We snagged dresses, and pajamas, and backpacks, and hats. Seriously, it's as if the buyer was thinking of us in all her purchases. I also love supporting a great family biz, especially one with the great vibes the owners are giving off. Shout out to Gary, who just seemed like a great dad and grandfather, helping out his daughter with the place. I'm sure she needs it, as I think she's got four kids. While it didn't fit quite right, I did find a beautiful white Coach bag I fell in love with, and a lovely watch, just what I'd been looking for. I've never been a fan of second hand stuff. When I finally went in I was greeted pleasantly and the shop was organized well and inviting, with vintage charm. As I browsed the shoes, I was directed to the shelves with my size and encouraged to try on anything I liked. I kept on a pair of boots to ensure they were comfortable for me while I shopped the rest of the store. I found so many things I loved, including a ring and a unique cardigan that elicits multiple compliments every time I wear it. While I was shopping for over an hour, other shoppers came in, new and repeat customers. Each person was welcomed pleasantly, and assisted with any questions with no pressure whatsoever.
