Why am I a fan? Well, it does ice-cream and desserts as a main focus - oh yeah! but also, as I found out, they also have white hot chocolate. This is rare, as far as I'm aware, but a great treat when you find it. Could have been a bit hotter, a common problem with hot chocolate of any kind but I was so happy to find white hot chocolate I can over look this, this time, but will specific HOT chocolate next ;) Limited seating so can be a challenge at busy times, eg. I came here to eat their weekend buffet for 25 euros a person. The buffet has a good selection of items from a fruit and dessert bar, a salad bar, meats (which I skipped), and also cheesy potatoes and vegetables. There were many more items but I won't list them all. I always like to eat a really nice meal before a 15 hour flights because we all know how plane food is... disgusting. My favorite items from the buffet were the cheesy potatoes and buttered vegetables. They also give you free champagne, water, and orange juice. I have always loved Movenpick ice cream and after not having had it for over a decade I spotted this shop at Hamburg airport and whilst I was not feeling well I had to try it and see if my memories from over a decade ago were just that....memories. I am delighted to say it was just s creamy and intense flavours as I recall it and I was delighted with the choice I made. Had some time left for a quick bite and a beer before my flight, and I was not disappointed. Good selection on the menu, tasty food and a super friendly service. The outdoor terrace is nice when the weather is good, it is just a pity that smokers think so too. Anyway I suppose that smokers need to have their space too. read more
