These people are scammers, especially Elizabeth Mendez and her sister, Sujiedy is well aware. We…read morepaid them to do our taxes, we requested direct deposit and 2 years straight, Elizabeth assured us that it was all set but after taking our account information and seeming like she entered it correctly. She turns around and enters someone else's bank account from a bank in Ohio, 2 years in a row. This year, I caught the mistake before filing and asked her to fix it, she sent a screenshot shot showing she'd fix it. Not too long after that, she stops replying to us and we receiving a check as our State refund. When I let her know, she says she'll look into it and again, assures us that she entered my wife's bank info. When I start asking for our documents for our records and so I can see what info she entered, she stops replying again. 2 weeks later, I finally reach Sujiedy and let her know everything. She sends me our documents and that's when I see that not only was the amount of our refund higher than what Elizabeth told us, she never fixed the account info and our refund was being deposited into someone else's bank in Ohio. She told us our refund would be $5802 when it really was $6253. We had already paid her the fee of $160, which she received prior to entering the wrong account info. So if she was already paid, why lie about the amount of our return? Why lie and tell me she'll fix it when she never did? This is when we realized that this is why we had to wait for Stimulus checks and not deposits because she entered a different account last year and now this year, we won't receive the Child Tax Credit as a deposit because of this issue as well. These people are scammers so DO NOT have them do anything for you.

Between working in one state and living in…read moreanother, a mortgage, and some other papers that make TurboTax seem like I'm missing something, I've found going to Ron to be worth the time and money. WTS is a small operation, and that makes it feel like the staff there really care about you and your particular situation. Every year, I walk in and Ron has my purple file folder in hand; he remembers me and details about my last return to be sure to ask me appropriate questions and make sure I get a good return. I come in, tell the receptionist I'm here (they have evening hours during tax season, which is just awesome), and hand over my pile o'papers to Ron... Usually less than a half hour later, I'm out of there with my return submitted electronically, and a folder with copies of my returns, nicely labelled for my files. The prices are reasonable, and they are good to returning customers and those with multiple returns to file. I cannot say enough good things about Woonsocket Tax Services and Ron in particular; anytime tax preparation comes up in conversation, I recommend them. A wonderful experience (even if you end up owing!) every time!
