I have been seeing the uber talented Dr. Soon Na and her daughter Rosa Na weekly for back pain, swelling, stress and fatigue. It is a no-frills, sterile, clinical, warm and friendly environment. The cupping is excellent. Cupping leaves polka dot sized hickeys bruise marks on your torso, but who cares? It's more than worth it for the improved circulation and tension relief. Think of them as temporary tattoos. Cupping is primarily on your torso and not seen unless you are a Victoria's (not so) Secret lingerie model. Cupping is a bonus. The acupuncture is what brought me in in the first place. Dr. Na asks about your current ailments, then customizes treatment do those areas. The procedure is usually done under a warm lamp so you don't feel like you are in a freezer. This is so relaxing that I usually doze off. If you have not tried it and are thinking about the pain from needle placement: a back slap feels harder. It is SO much worth it. Even better: They can frequently fit me in the same day. Maybe I should not say that because the best kept secret in Koreatown may get out. I HAVE to show Yelp love to these two! Just don't overbook her though. Your payment depends on your insurance coverage, but for me $5 co-pay (thanks Kaiser Permanente) per visit gets me an 45 minute appointment, which includes cupping therapy (fantastic) and/or Accupuncture. Did I mention the FREE parking? If you have never tried acupuncture, don't fret, it just feels like a little pinch. Dr Na is a miracle worker! I walked in with a muscle sprain in my back. She quickly went to work - cupping, acupuncture, and chiro! After 30 mins, my back pain was barely noticeable. Before coming to her I tried everything - 4 advils, CBD, lidocaine patches, etc! THANK YOU Rosa! I'll make it a point to come see you more often so that I do frequent 'tune-ups' to avoid sudden misery! If you're afraid of needles, this is the place for you! I didn't feel anything entering my backside...well upper/lower back (not booty). I went here yesterday 'cos I just have been feeling tired after my surgery - got a crick in my neck that won't go away causing me intermittent headaches (I blame WORK!). I bit the bullet & went in for acupuncture therapy. Dr. Rosa Na did these cuppy things that helped the blood flow circulation...I have a nice purple/pink pattern of circles on my back...nice fake tats - YAY! Afterward, she treated me with the needles...I probably looked like a 1/2 naked porcupine - but again, no pain when she applied the needles! AWESOME! Last night I PTFO'd and woke up more energetic than the morning before...unfortunately, I had to return to WORK! Yet, it's mid-day, I'm writing this review AND I haven't had a headache yet. WOOHOO! Pretty good for a 1st treatment! I'll definitely be headed back here! FYI, parking on the street is great until traffic time & then you'll get a ticket (remember, our City of Los Angeles needs MONEY). I have been a patient of Dr. Rosa for over 2 years. I used to suffer from chronic migraines and neck pain, until she saved me. Literally! I no longer suffer from the 2-3 migraines a week I used to get. Now, I rarely get migraines. And when I do, they are not even close to as severe as they used to be. I can function! A physical therapist couldn't help me with my neck pain that was pretty constant for over a year and after being treated by Dr. Na with cupping and acupuncture, I no longer have pain. I am so grateful to have found this clinic while visiting LA! For the past decade or so, my jaw has always made popping noises whenever I eat or speak. I remember trying to address the problem as a kid but no one ever gave me a clear answer and I was under the impression that it would "probably be fine." My jaw progressively worsened as I entered my 20s. 2 intense years of full-time work and full-time school finally did me in. 3 days after my last finals, I woke up unable to open my mouth all the way. Also, I had searing pain on the side of my face. Before I returned to SF, I decided to visit this clinic because Dr. Na was a TMD/TMJ specialist. Dr. Rosa Na really knows her stuff and she enlightened me about jaw pain and care. After a combination of cupping, acupuncture and chiropractic adjustments the pain noticeably subsided later that day. The next morning, my jaw was noticeably in less pain compared to previous mornings. Unfortunately conditions like these can't be "cured" and improvement requires time. TMJ requires long-term upkeep. Since I am always on the go and often changing jobs, I am met with the challenge of finding practitioners and treatment plans that will work for me. I've been a patient of Rosa's for the last four years, and I really couldn't be happier with the treatments and her service. Rosa treats me for chronic jaw pain due to my TMJ. My dentist insists I go to see her because the only way what he is doing with my jaw will be effective ( chiropractic adjustment/manipulation to release the jaw and to help with the bite changes from the TMJ dental appliance.. is what i'm told it's called) SO I get regular treatments from her, which I don't mind, because she is incredibly kind and I feel so much better after I leave her office. Rosa is really an expert when it comes to TMJ and how to help you with your pain and tension. You might not think that acupuncture would help with something like that, but it is really amazing. She also does acupressure to help with my pain, which can sometimes cause pain, but that's just the nature of the treatment, don't be afraid! Really I couldn't recommend her more, you would be truly wasting your time to go anywhere else if she is in your neighborhood. I actually drive from Manhattan Beach to see her - not my favorite part - but it's just not worth it to me to go to anyone closer when a few more miles takes me to the best in town. I started seeing Rosa Na this week. I have severe endometriosis, chronic back pain (osteoarthritis in my hips), insomnia, SIBO - the list goes on and on... I have had 5 surgeries from Sept 2015 - March 2016... so my body is a mess. Any who, after trying another Acupuncturist and being ripped off (see my other review) I was leery to try a new place. Rosa Na's practice is up front about cost, works WITH my insurance company instead of over billng them and leaving me with the remaining balance and only cost $60 without insurance. But more than that, Rosa Na CARES about her patients. She is VERY compassionate and took her time during my initial evaluation to assess all that is going on with my body. After just one visit of cupping and acupuncture, I regained mobility and range of motion that I haven't had in the last 6 months. I spent nearly 2 hours in her office discussing my case between other patients and after my second appointment I am starting herbal teas that she made to help strengthen my blood so that both my Eastern and Western medicine can be more effective. (That is the other thing that I find rare, she knows both Eastern and Western medicine and is open to the value in BOTH, not just one or the other) As someone who has been to many, MANY offices over the last 8 years, I can say from experience, that she is a rare gem in that she truly cares about healing. She is open and honest, which has left me with an overall sense of calm and trust in her ability. I highly recommend Dr. Rosa Na and Dr. Soon Na. I came to the clinic with mysterious fullness and fuzzy hearing in one ear. I was also suffering from severe depression. I had been to multiple ENTs for my ear, but no one had any answers. I had avoided flying for years, because I did not want to have excruciating pain during takeoff and landing. Finally, I had the good fortune of going to a fantastic ENT who suggested my ear fullness might be connected to my TMJ dysfunction. I had been greatly helped by acupuncture before, so this is what lead me to Dr. Rosa and Soon Na. I am deeply grateful to these expert and compassionate women for helping me to turn my health around in the past year. I had several excellent appointments with Dr. Soon Na and then started seeing Dr. Rosa Na, because her specialty is TMJ. Dr. Rosa was straightforward with me about what it would take to heal my ear and TMJ. Because this chronic condition developed over the past 15 years, she warned me that it would take time to heal. She also identified that the root cause of my TMJ was bad orthodontic work when I was a teen, which would need to be reversed in order to heal completely. She directed me towards an orthodontist who specializes in this issue who has been amazing. A year ago, I could hardly open my mouth, but now, I can open it wide without any problem. The fullness in my ear has slowly improved, and while it's not perfect, I am no longer fear going up on an airplane. Aside from her work on my TMJ dysfunction, Dr. Rosa Na has helped me to alleviate the severe depression that I get in conjunction with PMS. I see an excellent therapist and traditional psychiatrist, but could not get the dosage of my anti-depressant medicine quite right to help the PMS-related depression. But thanks to monthly acupuncture treatments and occasional herbal treatment, my once debilitating PMS-related depression is now hardly a problem. One year ago, I was bed bound with depression--I could hardly function in the world, and now I lead an active life. There have been many factors and people involved, but a major part of this change is due to Dr. Rosa's work, and I cannot thank her enough. It was often hard to see the progress as it was happening, but today when I compare my current health to my health before I started treatments a year ago, the difference is huge. I've been a patient of Dr. Rosa Na since 2017. She's warm, caring, has a relatively gentle touch, and is conscientious in her approach to traditional Chinese medicine. She's been very helpful in treating back pain, stress, helping to boost my immune system, and in helping me sleep. She's terrific, and I recommend her. The only caveat -- which is not specifically about her practice, is that the building at 955 S. Western Ave is not wheelchair or scooter accessible. Where do I begin? Let me start by saying that I am so tremendously glad I found Dr. Rosa Na. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I used to be highly active, working full time and teaching dance and zumba classes 5 times a week, and would also bike ride etc. outdoors, I organized a knitting group and did I mention I have two daughters? (I was also a Single mom) After being diagnosed with Lyme Disease my world changed. Several doctors failed to diagnose me so after a year of having lyme a naturopathic doctor diagnosed and helped me. Although allot of my major symptoms got better my life has not been the same. Just a few of my symptoms were: Sweating profusely, Memory loss, Inability to sleep, fatigue, heart palpitations, joint pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, adrenal fatigue inability to concentrate and the list goes on.......... For the past two years I have not been able to work out. Each time I tried it fatigued my adrenals so severally it would knock me out of commission for a few months. My daily routine consisted of going to work and coming home to lay on the sofa. The several symptoms I continue to have to work on is feeling fatigue, severe neck and shoulder pain (from my lymph nodes not draining properly), adrenal fatigue and a very weak digestive system. Having such pain causes me not to be able to sleep well, which then causes me to be even more fatigued and well .....you get it. I was shocked that after the second visit I started feeling more energy and after the 3rd visit my neck and shoulder pain just went away. JUST LIKE THAT! I was so excited and shocked at the same time. I'd received massages before and although they help if I do it on a weekly basis it's never really taken the pain away like this. I felt like all this time a very tight rubber band was pulling my neck and shoulders so tight and then its like the rubber band snapped and released all of the tension. I really don't know how or why I just know that it worked! For the first time I had enough energy to workout (I could barely even walk up the block let alone walk up a flight of stairs). The last time I did the same low areobic workout I started having heart palpitations and couldn't do any other activities for a few weeks. I can't believe that for the first time in years I feel hope once again which I know was caused by the sudden energy I felt after visiting Dr. Rosa Na for acupuncture. I wanted to cry when I actually had enough energy to go to the beach with my husband and go for a long walk. Most of the time my husband asks me "how do you feel, are you doing okay" just after a short walk, and I was so excited to tell him "heck yeah, lets keep going!" I also have to say that Dr. Rosa Na is the very first doctor that listened to me, and all that I had to say about Lyme Disease and my symptoms etc. Most doctors don't like being told things they may not know much about and most don't know much about Lyme Disease. I've done extensive research and have allot to say about it I guess most doctors are just not very humble. Instead, Dr. Na was interested and wanted to know more (so very humble) and made me feel so comfortable in speaking to her about everything. Her personality is really warm and caring. I've read several of the other reviews, and in response to one of the reviews, if you want a luxury location and thats all you are worried about then go somewhere else. Her location isn't luxury but it works and every room has a door, and although the rooms may not be huge it works just fine. She also took care to make sure I was covered when laying down so I felt fine. Just read all of her other reviews as well and you will see that Dr. Na is well worth it. I'm a believer! I came to Dr. Rosa Na via referral from a friend and today was my first visit. I am very happy I went. The office itself is clean, sterile, has wonderful soothing music and the staff is friendly. Before my accupuncture + cupping, Dr. Na asked some questions about my pain, body, lifestyle (a mini consult you could say) and then explained what she was going to do so I knew what to expect. I appreciated that. She started with cupping (10 mins) which was also my first time, and then accupuncture on my back, left knee, neck, and skull which are tense pain points for me. I'm a salsa dancer with a bad left need, frequent migraines, and mid back pain and am very optimistic about Dr. Na relieving these pain areas. Her bedside manners are so comforting and kind and you can tell she knows her stuff. I believed wholeheartedly that I was in great care. I just went for treatment today and it was a very nice experience. First of all I came in at 11:30ish and D. Na sat with me to go over my problems. I have not been sleeping and i have had really bad neck, shoulder, and low back pain. She asked me questions and made sure she got a lot of detail for what I was going through. She took me into a room and went to work with the cupping. It felt weird at first but after a few minutes it didnt really feel too bad. After that was finished, she could tell where I was hurting which was super weird because as I had the cups on my back a few were hurting a bit more than the other cups and those were the places she pointed out as having the most pain. It was crazy weird. After she did the needles, and it didnt hurt at all. It didnt feel like a needle prick. I sat there for another 20 minutes and then was finished. I feel in a sense lighter. Almost like my head is clearer. I still have to go back a few more times to finish the full extent of treatment, but so far its worth the $80 i paid. read more

Dr. Rosa is probably the best acupuncturist that I've been to. I used to go to Westwood Acupuncture for years but switched to Rosa about 6 months ago. Just recently I went in to get treated for a lower back injury that was causing spasms and severely limited my ability to walk, let alone get out of bed. She spent a lot of time on me and as usual, made me feel really comfortable. What I noticed about Dr. Rosa is that she is always right on the money with her diagnosis and treatment. I've been referred to places where they would "try" different things, make me buy herbs and medicines, and then want me to come in several more times. Dr. Rosa always seems to know what the actual problem is and gets to treating it right away. That shortens the time it takes for me to get back on my feet and it saves me a lot of money and grief. Update to my 04/16/13 review: I continue with acupuncture treatments as I do enjoy the sessions and also enjoy visiting with the wonderful Na family. I'd like to share that since last year I'm doing much better overall but mainly super excited to share that my hair did stop falling out and in fact has regrown where it was falling out. I'm sure it was the points Dr. Rosa had stimulated and continues to as well as the improvement of my digestion. I'm not to happy to report that I have gained wait because of the improved digestion - hehe which simply means I'm healthier now. She also practices a 50/50 motto that we (the patient) have a shared responsibility in managing our care. She is quick but thorough as she usually has a "full house". Dr. Rosa is a true healer. I have a chronic ankle problem. I'm also a runner which definitely doesn't help things. Dr. Rosa has given me more flexibility and strength in my ankle than I've had in years. Also, I've pulled my Achilles' tendon a couple times. Within two days of treatment the injuries were gone. A very sweet person, she has a great blend of Eastern and Western medical advice. She never pushes the herbal drinks that most acupuncturist do.
