The Dr. is very nice and understanding. I have had to reschedule a few times and she accommodated me everytime I really appreciate that as a busy mom. I have been doing for a label shoulder tear and what I can say is acupuncture has not "healed" but lessened the pain and discomfort. The more often you go the more you control your pain but if I'm being completely honest it's a case to case thing I don't know if this will heal my tear but I definitely get relieve. It was bad experience. I don't think she knows what she is doing. I got an appointment. She put maybe 15 needles on my feet and hand. There was nothing feel better after the treatment. I don't think she is professional enough. I had experienced good ones from different places . After acupuncture, I felt big relief. This is opposite than that. Due to the nature of my work, I was diagnosed with tendonitis on my right hand. After 2 steroid shots, I was advised to consider surgery if the pain comes back. Dr. Kong is seriously a Godsend if you're navigating through any ailments...I've seen Dr. Kong four times in 3 weeks after being diagnosed with Bells Palsy. I cannot begin to tell you how much of a difference it has made in my recovery. The first time I visited her office, I had neck pain, muscle weakness (I could barely hold up my own head), slurring, unable to eat/chew properly, let alone write my own name steadily on her paperwork. After the fist visit I saw immediate results in strengthening of my muscles! I am about 2 months out from my first Bell's Palsy symptoms. I woke up one morning to the entire left of my face paralyzed. I call Dr. Kong a few days after and was immediately ableto get in for an appointment. I saw her about 3x/week for several weeks. She listens well and started treating me with acupuncture right away. She has many different therapies in addition to acupuncture. She is so experienced which made me feel confident about my prognosis. Bell's Palsy recovery varies with each individual-and there are many factors that contribute to the recovery process such as steroids, antivirals, and rest. My acupuncture experience with Dr. Kong has truly been life changing. I have an inflammatory bladder condition and knee pain. The bladder condition has caused me an immense amount of pain over the years to the point where I need to wear a lidocaine patch nightly to function and even then it only helps so much. Since seeing Dr. Kong, I now am able to go multiple days at a time without wearing the patch and my pain as a whole has decreased exponentially. I felt 80% better after just one visit! Dr. Kong is great! I have a complicated set of chronic illnesses and am in recovery from abdominal surgery for a small hernia repair & removal of my gallbladder. Due to being really ill before surgery because of the inflamed gallbladder and also having fibromyalgia, my recovery wasn't going as well as I had expected. I still had quite a bit of pain where the hernia was even though all my stitches had healed and a bunch of fibromyalgia symptoms, too. After about 10 minutes of treatment, I felt really good.
