Dr. Mao is a godsend. I am so lucky to have found her. I was dealing with Nausea, acid reflux and dizziness. I went to a few GIs and no one could tell me what was wrong. I got an endoscopy and a ton of other tests and everything came back normal. I heard that acupuncture is a good option for stomach issues and I am happy I gave it a try. Dr. Mao is a talented acupuncturist, so this review is not a knock on quality of care, but they are CASH ONLY. For insurance patients, would advise that you triple-check your coverage and not rely on her word, as she intially told me she was in-network only for me to find out three sessions later I was not. It made for an uncomfortable situation as I had to get more cash to pay her (not the most relaxing situation after you'd just been in a session). And it seemed like not an unusual one for her. Dr. Mao is a wonderful, caring, and helpful person. She takes her time with every client to understand the full needs and considers the entire body for her treatment plan. She is gentle, friendly, and very welcoming. She has helped me considerably with complications from an artificial disc replacement in L5-S1 back surgery I had in April 2024 (which was unsuccessful unfortunately) which caused overwhelming CRPS side effects of severe nerve pain, atrophy, and numbness in both legs along with my back issues. I cannot begin to explain what Dr. Mao has meant in my life (literally). I have had two, say "conditions", that Dr. Mao has treated. 1) Severe, reoccurring gastrointestinal symptoms and continuous abdominal pain. I have been going to doctor Mao for over a year now for various system from neck pain, ringing in the ear, and recently vertigo. She is my fixed all lady. Here are some examples, one day, I was in so much pain and couldn't move my neck from a bad message, she fixed it in one session. Ringing in the ears condition that most western doctor said there is not cure, it has been getting so much better!. The most recent one this weekend when I was having a vertigo. I am very thankful that I found Dr. Mao that helped me with all my health problems that medicinal Doctors could not do a thing for me for years of suffering. Dr. Mao is the best! I have been going to her for treatment for over two years now. I tried acupuncture for the first time ever with Dr. Mao and I had a phenomenal experience! I came in because I was having a lot of pain on my back and shoulders which I assume is from sleeping wrong/tensing up while I sleep. Dr. Mao seemed very knowledgeable and caring. She asked me detailed questions about my medical history and about the pain I was experiencing. She told me that my shoulder was very swollen which I hadn't noticed and she told me I may need more than one session. She was very honest when she told me that one session may or may not work for me. She walked me through the process and she was very gentle while inserting the needles. I didn't even feel them! She made sure I was comfortable and she came to check on me after 10 minutes. I really appreciate how attentive she was with me! I think I have found my healer! After 20 years of chronic neck pains and almost 7 days of an excruciating migraine, it's safe to say that after about 7 visits, Dr. Mao has saved me.
