My experience with Nachawati Law Firm has been one of a roller coaster. At the initial consultation stages of my Roundup Cancer case with your Law, l was quite impressed with the way my case was handled. IVC Filter Class Action - last correspondence I received was March 25 telling me that a settlement was contingent upon a certain number of people responding. Since that didn't happen, the settlement stalled. It's now almost September - 6 months later and I haven't heard a single word. This case has taken years. I started submitting paperwork back in 2018 and 2019. At this point, I have given up on this. I don't even look for updates, emails, etc., I don't expect it to ever settle and if it does - it won't be worth much. read more

Taxotere's class action lawsuit. Started with Canep, Riedy, and Abele in 2018. Great form! Communication and customer service was above adequare. Then the head honcho of the firm, Scott K. Canepa passed away and my case was transferred to, drumroll, Fears, Nachawati Law Firm. They were adequate, however after Attorney Fears left the firm, things changed. Very little communication or responses to calls. I understand class action lawsuits take time and it's going on seven years. I wonder if there will be any proceeds left once it does settle and they get their fees or if it will settle at all. However my complaint is the lack of communication. read more

I said so i could go another 10 year? she said as long as necessary and hung up. every one of those "ladies" need to be fired. they act as if we are bothering them! WHY? why be so rude & nasty to us? i bet they don't wait on their paychecks & if they did, they'd be doing the SAME thing we are. calling to find out why? if ONE person hasn't done what they were supposed to, why do we ALL have to suffer possibly 10 more years?! sounds fishy! this can NOT possibly be the right way to handle things. we were treated as guinea pigs by faulty devices & like we were just another $ to those corporations, NOW the attorneys have our case and our money, we are getting treated like we are not even human! are they waiting for us to die? it certainly seems like it. how much EXTRA money (besides the huge almost half of your settlement) are they making by KEEPING ALL your money. we had a horrible experience with companies that didn't care about our life, we now have to suffer through this as well?! you MUST help stop this. let them know enough is enough. contact the Texas state Bar. contact the attorney general. better business bureau. leave a review every possible place you can to get the truth out there. if enough of us pull together, we just MIGHT see our money before we die. read more

I've been waiting on a settlement for yearrrrsss for the IVC filter. I received an email with a tracker for settlement a few months ago and was told that the master reviewer or somebody has to review it. I had forgotten all about it because it had been years and trying to get an update is impossible. I then ask how long it's going to take the master reviewer and they don't know. I only gave them 1 star because I had to - when I say NEVER again. This is what I mean. I'm sure by the time it's all said and done, I'll owe them money. I was involved in a hit and run case back on August 2, 2015, I was rear/side swiped and I was able to obtain the license plate number. I had injuries to the atlas in my neck down to the right side of my body as well as my pelvis. This caused me to be out of work for nearly a month, and I was basically bed ridden for over 2/3 weeks. I chose Fears & Naschawati through my Hyatt Legal plan insurance that I had through my employer. In the beginning they advised me that there was a discount I would be receiving of about 8 percent due to me being a member of the plan. Firstly, the case manager Jessica was pretty good with communication. She did try to keep me in on the loop most of the time, however if I needed to contact her, on occasion it did take a few calls and emails to reach her. At any rate it took a while for the insurance company to accept fault which was pretty bizarre to me. It ended up being a Landscaping/Company vehicle that hit me on mopac as I was merging from 360 westbound to Mopac north, after he hit me, he sped off and kept going, i sped up and caught his plate number, even had a witness with me and pictures of me attempting to take a picture. However, the last conversation I had with Jessica she informed me that the insurance company was pushing back, but that they will advise me the next steps as this may have to go to litigation. I was okay with that...until my chiropractor called them over a month after I last spoke to Jessica, and my Doctor (which they referred me to over 2 weeks late after the accident) they informed her that they dropped my case in October. I never received any notification of this whatsoever, not an email, not a phone call, no mail or anything of the sort. UNTIL... of course immediately after the chiropractor called. It seems as if they hurried and sent the documents indicating the dropping of my case... over a month after the time they indicated they did. I feel like they didn't want to take this case to litigation due to the DISCOUNT I would have received through my legal insurance. It basically would have gone from the standard 50% to possibly 30 due to my legal aid. These individuals did not operate professionally AT ALL. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ATTORNEY. Of course many attorneys are out for the money, but my case clearly has sustenance. They just didn't want to fight it, because they are greedy crooks. Stay away. read more

Nachawati law firm represented me successfully in an IVC filter litigation lawsuit. After the case was settled I was sent the breakdown of fees and disbursements. Since Medicare participated in paying for the surgery to implant/remove the filter funds were set aside to reimburse them. Unfortunately, that did not happen and now I am getting threatening letters from the Department of the Treasury that my social security check will be garnished to pay the outstanding balance of $17,737.75. Since I rely on my Social Security to live, this is very disconcerting. I have called this law firm multiple times, I have sent emails with copies of the demands attached, I have sent text messages. NO ONE HAS RESPONDED. When the phone # is called, the message says to leave your name, phone number and message and someone will get back to you. That's another lie. At this point, I am contacting the Texas State Bar Association and filing a complaint. They are great at winning cases but their follow up leaves much to be desired. read more
