OMG.... I had the most amazing time here tonight @ Nadeau's Ice Sculptures. I have been driving pass this place for year's and never knew about the gold mine behind the walls. Jim the owner is so funny and sweet. His great sense of humor and creative skills are at a high. His assistant oops I forgot her name was such the sweetest and very friendly. I'm still in my awe moment at this time. All I can say is go on the website and get a quick glimpse of the ice sculpture. Even better give Jim a call and set up a team building class. If you ever been to Lincoln Park Zoo around Christmas time for the zoo lights. Than you have already witness some of the talent. Very talented and creative. I would write more but I'm still digesting all what I have seen on tonight. We were able to be a live audience to see a block of ice be chipped into a masterpiece. The fun didn't stop there. NOOOOO. We were section off into a group of 5 ppl per table. On the table was a big block of ice and beside us was a box of cut up pieces of ice made into design and a spray bottle. Need dry ice for cold capping during Chemo? Max from Nadeau's is your man! Clearly going through Chemo isn't a great experience, but Max made sure to always have the large amounts of dry ice I needed so that I could focus on my healing (and save my hair)! I purchased an ice luge for a friend's farewell party using a Groupon. When I called to put in the order, their customer service was very friendly and didn't give me a hard time with the Groupon. I didn't have my number on hand but that wasn't a problem. I was worried about the lead time necessary to put in an order, but they said I could pick it up that same day, if needed. I followed up by e-mail with my number and they had the same great attitude then. When I went to go pick it up, they gave me a plastic tray to put the ice luge on and it was connected to a drainage tube. They also gave me a bucket to drain it in along with a note to check it frequently so that it didn't overflow. They load it for free into your car and it was bagged and boxed. Street parking is available right on Roosevelt Road, even now right after the snowstorm. The ice luge was the hit of the party and it stays in the same shape for 2 days so it got used the next day for a Super Bowl party. Even as it started melting, we turned it to the side and used the ice block to chill some shrimp and fruit. Definitely a high impact show piece for a reasonable price! read more

My company just had a holiday party and we used Nadeau's Ice Sculptures for our amazing ice bar. Everyone from interns to the CFO took a shot from the snowflake luge. We were at the fantastic Sable bar and restaurant in Chicago, which has a beautiful bar with knowledgeable mixologists. That being said, the "back bar", which was the logo ice bar, was constantly crowded with people just waiting to get a drink from an ice bar! There was no need for other entertainment, the bar was the entertainment. Everyone wanted a picture with the ice bar! Nadeau's should definitely be a part of your party planning! Big Big hit at my wedding reception! They designed and sculpted and delivered a fire-breathing dragon ice luge that was absolutely stunning. Definitely worth increasing the wedding budget, especially if you will have special lighting at your event. Our uplights behind the dragon made everything just look magical. Nadeau's just did an ice sculpture for my wedding last Sunday and it was PERFECT! It was the total hit of the wedding (besides me of course lol!) All of our guests just loved it, it was really amazing. It was of Sleeping Beauty dancing with her Prince since we had a Sleeping Beauty wedding theme. Nadeau's did a great job, they were so friendly and wonderful to work with, and their work is tres magnifique! I have used this company twice before. The secretary is very rude, racist and unprofessional. She sent me an email and I came in for it to be honored. She stated she couldn't honor the coupon, that she sent me and told me I could get color for free for the summer special. Upon my fiancee and I arriving, I again produce the email. She then begins screaming yelling us that JIM the owner isn't honoring anything! I then tell her I'm a repeat customer and I don't appreciate the disrespect and unprofessionalism and ask to speak with a manager. Still yelling while getting the manager, he comes back and is very polite apologizing for her behavior. He told us that he would straightened it out with the owner and follow up with us. Well the follow up never happened and we now know why. I called and asked to speak with the owner JIM and shared with him my concerns. He listened and then told me, " I was told by 5 different people you were yelling and I can refer you elsewhere". Are you serious? It was your secretary whom you have a personal relationship with that was yelling and being rude with her subpar behavior. I would never recommend this place to anyone as the undertones are very racist! The minority dollar isn't welcomed there as JIM told me that! read more
