I later spoke with Joann who was also extremely nice and went the extra mile to work with me. After I arrived I was brought in by Dr. Marcus's assistant Arianna. She was very pleasant and kind, and made me feel very comfortable. After meeting Dr. Marcus I knew that I was in the right place with the right people. He was very professional, kind and considerate. His main concern was that I would not be in pain and he would be able to do the root canal. He continually checked to make sure I was not in any pain, and did a great job. I cannot say enough wonderful comments about Dr. Marcus and his amazing staff. I would never go anywhere else for this kind of procedure. The office was immaculate and comfortable. I have to return next week for this to be completed and to have another procedure done with Dr, Kapoor. Needless to say I am not apprehensive at all. This is certainly a great place! This time things were very much the same as the office is spotless, office staff is efficient, assistant is very professional and I had a x-ray done of the tooth in question. Dr. Azizi explained the necessity of the root canal, carefully administered the anesthesia, and described each step as he went forward. Between the local anesthesia and my favorite podcast (I wore earphones) the 45-50 minutes went very quickly and painlessly. I almost fell asleep. And I should mention, for the record I am ordinarily a complete chicken with dental work. Absolutely no issues with the tooth right now and the office called this afternoon to check on me. Kalmar Dentistry in Huntington, NY. I made an appointment…read morefor my one and a half year old to go to the dentist for the first time to see Dr. Mackey. We showed up a few moments early and called to let them know we were outside. They sent out a person to take our temperatures from our car and ask us questions. He said they would call us when they were ready for us. A few moments later the called us to go in. Once we entered they asked us to use the purely from their stand up dispenser, which of course we did. My husaband and I, dawning our masks waited a few moments. We were greeted by the doctor who told us they were cleaning the room. Now they clean the room with these ghost buster looking back packs. Very exceptional in my opinion. We were called back by the lovely assistant. My husband sat in the chair with my daughter in his lap. Soon Doctor Mackey came in and suited up. She was already wearing a mask and eye protection. She suited up in a new full body smock. She put her gloves on and greeted our baby. She was so wonderful with her. Taking her time to familiarize her with her gloves, letting her play with her hands and showing her some instruments. She got a few peaks into her mouth and from what she saw all was good. She provided me with great advice on how to get her used to teeth brushing (ok bad mom here, I've been using a wash cloth in the bath to try and wash her teeth). She recommended a toothpaste and then gave us a baby brush. She was so friendly and good with Veronica. I really can't recommend this practice enough. I have been before and their cleanings are so thorough! Dr. Mackey was able to spot an infection in my tooth and send me for a root canal. This infection has been there for years and other dentists had missed it. I'd spent countless money and time going to sinus specialists and migraine doctors. Since the root canal I haven't had a migraine or nearly as bad sinus issues. Can you imagine?! This practice doesn't take DMO which my employment offered for free. I upgraded my dental plan at work and pay $70 a month for my daughter and I to have the proper coverage to see this practice. It is absolutely worth it. Also if you don't have insurance they offer private plans as well. If you've had a bad experience at a dentist, you know how important a good dentist is. Dr. Mackey and staff are fantastic dentists. I would highly recommend them. They certainly help to make me smile

Dr. Weitman himself came out to greet me as Robin was busy in the back and the Dr. himself handed me my paperwork. He seemed to be interested in meeting me and was friendly and encouraging. Robin came back into the front office, helped me with questions I didn't fully answer, and then I went back to the chair and I was under Delilah's care, and, boy, she is efficient -- doesn't miss a thing. She took a very good Xray for Dr. Weitman so he could clearly see my bridge problem. Dr. Weitman is very calm and reassuring: he assured me that he would like me to keep my dental hardware (the bridge in question). He advised me to wait until it's loose enough that he can work it out of my mouth gently. I like this approach. I'm very happy with this dentist and this office so far.
