Avoid Nadine at all cost. We bought a very expensive new construction condo from her, and were supposed to be able to pick out all of our finishes. When we showed up to the appointment to do so, she said she was out out time and rushed us through the selections. She didn't show us all of the choices and it turns out that half the things she sold us on couldn't actually be done. It took several phone calls and emails to get the selections straightened out, and we still ended up with two different colors of tiles IN THE SAME BATHROOM. A total mistake due to her carelessness, and of course one she didn't make the contractor fix. We moved in feeling totally lied to by her, and it turns out we were right. One week into living in our new place, we had massive leaking. The subcontractor who came out to take a look let it slip that he'd been talking to Nadine about water issues with the masonry. By law you HAVE TO disclose any leaking, and she didn't. We should have called a lawyer right then and there. Nadine continued to market the units without disclosing the water issue, and resident after resident in our complex have found out what a liar Nadine is. Of course the contractor said he'd fix the issue when we complained, but then he went bankrupt. We've had huge special assessments to get everything fixed, and Nadine could have spared us a ton of expense and stress had she just been ethical. read more

I must say, I was shocked to read the negative reviews for Nadine on Yelp. We had quite the opposite experience during our search for a townhome in downtown Chicago. Nadine woked with us tirelessly, showing us over 30 properties in the South Loop (our preferred neighborhood), at least once a month over the course of 13 months. She did this with a positive attitude never knowing whether or not we were ready to leave our highrise condo and buy a home in the city. Of course she has a job to do but she was never pushy and we felt that she always had our best interests in mind. She was always responsive and never let an email or phone call go unanswered. She has a wealth of knowledge in terms of the real estate market and particularly the South Loop neighborhood. We found her to be highly ethical and extremely savvy. She was also sometime brutally honest with a few properties that my wife and I considered but Nadie did not approve of for various reasons. My wife and our two sons ultimately found the place we now call home and we could not have done it without Nadine. She even helped us find a competent real estate attorney for the closing and excellent contractors for some pre-move in renovation work.
