The food and the staff were impeccable. We absolutely loved our meals here. The pancakes are amazing, coffee hit the spot and the smoothies and chia pudding were beyond expectations! The front is unassuming so, you could easily miss it if not looking closely. We have been told that their ice cream is some of the best ever. A bit difficult to find, this cafe is a delightful surprise once you find it! Tables are beautifully set in a garden setting. I was in search of good coffee and was thrilled to find Naef Cafe. It was good, if you're down to pay NYC prices in an area where you can get a full plate of fresh shrimp for $11. Most glasses of wine were like $17 for a sad dribble of a pour :( I had the baked gnocchi though and they were super delicious--highly recommend. The ice cream was not that exciting, the piña mezcal tasted like the pineapple icey they sell on the street in New York. Tbh I like the paletas down the block way better. This restaurant manages to bring the high end resort vibe into the pueblo and it felt stressful and overwrought. read more

We saw how highly rated Naef Cafe was so the three of us went over to give it a try. A bit off the beaten path but well worth it. A truly charming space in the courtyard area with numerous nice seating options. The food selections are very creatively done, well prepared and delicious. The French toast and the pineapple hotcakes were so worth it. If you like Chai Tea, try the dirty Chai with a shot of espresso in it. We liked it so much we were back the next day. One other point of interest. The owners are very community oriented and involved in numerous projects that assist the community they live in. One of my PM favorites! Naef is off the beaten tourist track and is oh so good! The space is beautiful! Tropical courtyard oasis. The food is excellent. It is a lighter and modern menu. They have tons of delicious coffee drinks, soy, coconut and almond milk. You can get all the traditional Mexican breakfast favorites and they also have avocado toast, lentil salad, chia pudding and some vegan dessert options. The servers are kind and helpful. I always make a point of coming here at least once during a trip to PM. read more

We loved eating at Naef cafe. The most expensive meals we had while in Punta Mita but with great ambiance, healthy dishes, and high quality ingredients. They do dinner now and it was fan-freakin-tabulous! Best meal I had in Mexico, and maybe in the last year..... The owner is trying out the dinner scene and is very eager to check in and see how you are doing/how the food is. He kept all the same staff from when he did breakfast and explained how he is continously looking for locally sourced ingridients from Punta de Mita. I had the chicken with mole with was served on mashed sweet potatoes and roasted veggies I beleive. It. was. to. die.for. I also had a basil margarita. My favorite part had to be the cheese they brough out before hand which was a 4 soft cheese blend, plated with carmalized onions and nuts and seeds I beleive. This restaurant has delicious food. I've been several times and each time is better than the last. I just had a Croque Monsieur and it was perfect. Just what I wanted. My husband had the chefs omelet and he said his was delicious as well. He also ordered the pancake and he could not eat it all. By the way, the green juice is not to be missed. Amazing. Been in punta de mita for three days. Came here three times. Definitely have the omelette de chef, which has goat cheese, tomatoes and spinach. Also, I don't think it's on the menu but get a side of fruit; it's large enough to share. Omelette, fruit and an iced coffee came to around $16 including tip. Well worth it! read more
