While any travel agent can give you rates and book tickets, it's the attitude that makes it a warm experience at Nagina. Plus, there have been instances where they went out of their way to help. Earlier this year, I had to be prepared to travel to India on a day's notice because of a family emergency. The proprietor not only held a reservation for me rather quickly at a very cheap price, he offered his cellphone number should I need to finalize it at an hour that they're closed. Virn Bedi of Nagina travels is awesome or what? I had to fly to India on a very short notice for an emergency. Called Nagina at 9.00PM on Saturday as I had a very positive experience with them earlier and did not wanted to spend any time online looking for tickets. Mr Bedi worked till 11.00PM that night. On a Saturday night!! and got me the confirmed tickets. Any other travel agency would have overcharged me but not him. HE did not even ask me for money right away. I booked tickets thro Nagina travels and had to cancel my trip due to VISA issues (FYI, folks with OCI card MUST carry the passport too that was used to issue OCI even though if it is expired). When I contacted the airlines, I was told that there was a little chance that I could get back any refund. Any travel agency can sell tickets but only few can be counted on when travel plans are changed. Virender is the one travel agent I know who can be trusted will definetly have your back. I like the level of details that the proprietor Mr. Bedi provides when you inquire about the fare. Warm, friendly and open communication. I am doing the repeat business with them just for the wonderful customer service they provide. Honest and reliable. The one thing that I am not too excited is they charge fees (whatever 2 or 3 %) for using Credit Card but other agents do the same too I guess. Excellent Excellent service. I had a family emergency and had to travel to India asap. Mr Bedi had a ticket issued for the day and told me to confirm whether I could travel within a couple of hours. One in our party did not have a visa and he told us where to get an emergency visa. In addition, since the visa took more time than expected, he booked another ticket the following day with very good seats. For the return, we needed to extend our trip out. When we called him to help, he again got us tickets for the day that we wanted. He takes care of seats, price, layover time and is very prompt in his response. Nagina Travels is excellent for Travel services and Mr Bedi is a great human being. Recently I had a bad experience when I was travelling back from Bangalore to San Franscisco. Everything seemed normal with confirmed tickets to SFO. However I missed my flight as i was stuck in traffic reaching Bangalore airport. Returned back home. Called singapore airlines to reschedule the flight. There was no availablity of seats up until 24 Aug. which was not acceptable as school starts and lot of other commitments. After trying couple of other resources finally gave a call to Nagina Travels. Mr Bedi (Cheif of Nagina Travels) picked up the phone and after knowing I was local resident of bay area started looking for means to get me to SFO. Within 30 minutes he had 3 tickets confirmed for the following day with reasonably lower price. Mr Bedi came as messanger of god to help. We have made to SFO. Charlatan I read all these online reviews, and decided to book tickets with Nagina travels. The owner, Vir Bedi seemed a nice guy. He would talk to you in very friendly language and make you feel special. He would also make you feel that he is giving you some special treatment, and doint you some favor because he likes you a lot for some reason. But here goes a real experience. I had to cancel my tickets, as I couldn't go on my schedule trip. Now he shows his real colors. He says, I don't know what the cancellation charges are, come back on Monday. Give me a break! You are running a travel agency, and you don't know the cancellation charges? Nagina books their tickets from online travel agency Sabre . When you cancel your tickets on top of airline's cancellatin charges, Sabre charges you $200 extra. Oouch! I have visited at least 6 times to collect my money back. He'll give me silly excuses, like my wife took the check book with her at Costco, I forgot the checkbook at home. C'mon, you are running a business, and you don't carry your checkbook with you? Finally he gives me a check back, but guess what? It's a 2 month post dated check. I paid him using credit card, but he gives me a check, for which I have to two wait for 2 months to get my money back! In my opinion, the owner is a charlatan. I suggest to book your ticket online, it's more easy and convenient. If you really have to book your tickets, I suggest to go somewhere else. Avoid this unprofessional guy at all costs. read more

My experience with Mr. Bedi, contrary to other reviews, wasn't good. He wasn't even able to match the fare which I was getting directly on the airline website - but that's not at all my reason for writing the review. He tried to convince me - to the point of being pushy - that I should book the ticket the same day, or I would have to pay a higher price for the same ticket. On the contrary, 2 other travel agents that I spoke to suggested to wait for another day, since the lower tier pricing was going to apply the very next day - and by the way agents typically do have that information with them.
