I called Black Sky to take my family of 6 (plus wheelchairs) from Danville to the Oakland Airport after reading the other positive reviews here on Yelp and would highly recommend this company to anyone searching for a limousine for just about any occasion. I spoke with Bruce, the owner, who was very casual and friendly. Our driver picked us up at 6:00AM on the dot as requested on our travel day and was at the airport as soon as our flight arrived to pick us up going back home. Both of our drivers were friendly and helpful (and assisted with our bags, including wheelchairs) and the limo itself, a stretch Chrysler 300, was also very clean and very cool! We've had several bad experiences with cheaper airport "limo" companies in the past and will never go back after our experience with Bruce and company. I don't know how my wife and I found out about Black Sky, but as J S. said, we didn't need a limo for 4 hours as well. Most of the limo companies we talked to wanted to lock us down for a certain amount of hours and charge an arm and a leg. We got in contact with Bruce and he assured us that he could do everything that we requested. He only set us about 2 emails, when we sent him about 8 to confirm details, contract, prices, etc. Worst comes to worst, just call him. He had a stretched escalade pick up the girls, drop them off at the venue, then picked up us guys and dropped us off...note that it was 98 degrees that day in Pleasanton, but the driver had the AC blasting with cold water and champagne on ice. Then right after the wedding, the same driver came back exactly at the time we asked him, and took my wife and I away! Courteous, prompt, on time, and exactly what we expected...no complaints what so ever! I found Black Sky on Yelp and have to say was a bit unsure at first, but to my delight Bruce and his drivers were amazing! I went looking for a limo company to help celebrate my husbands 40th birthday party (which turned out fantastic with the help of our driver David) and decided to use Black Sky for our drive to/from the SFO airport. Our arrival home (at 5:00 am on a Saturday) was 30 minutes early and as soon as I was off the plane our driver was calling to let us know he was at the airport and waiting for us. My first experience with Black Sky was about 2 years ago for my brothers' birthday. Bruce was the driver, and took very good care of us. He got us into a few clubs in San Francisco without having to pay a cover. One of the clubs offered to pay Bruce half of our $20 each cover. He declined to take the deal, and got us in (all free) by tipping the door guy with a $20 bill. He was always close by, so we never waited more than 5 minutes to get picked up. At the end of the night, Bruce dropped us off. Most of us were all very intoxicated. We went to give Bruce an additional tip; he declined, and explained we already paid for the tip. After a 10 minute explanation (additional gratitude for his over and above service) to Bruce, by the less intoxicated me, he finally took the additional tip. That is integrity at its best. He didn't want to take advantage of the intoxicated people. Best price, very clean rides, and great service. Last weekend we used Black Sky for the second time. We were celebrating our daughters' 15th birthday. Bruce set us all up, called me 2 separate times to make sure all of the details were executed (we requested the driver come to the door and ask for our daughter by name). Sure enough, the driver (not Bruce but a great guy), came to the door 6pm sharp, asked for our daughter and we surprised the heck out of her. We ran around San Francisco for a few hours. We ran out of ideas, and our driver took control and took us to places we have never been. We saw some very beautiful views. Our daughter and her friend had a ball!. Bruce and his man Greg are amazing! I was actually sent to them by another limo service, because the one called didn't have big stretch limos. I booked the Cadillac Escalade stretch limo that seats 20 people for me and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary/vow renewal. First off, Bruce offered the best deal of all the places I called. Second, the service they provided was awesome. It's nice because you can do all the communications via e-mail and then on the day of your event, everything is squared off and ready to go! Third, the limo was very clean and nice inside. Greg was our driver and he was so nice and sweet to me, my husband, and our bridal party. He did a lot of driving, waiting, picking up and dropping off and he never complained! He took care of our groomsmen and was polite to the ladies. Used Black Sky this weekend for wine tasting in Livermore. The white stretch Escalade was beautiful and the perfect size for my party of 11. It was fully stocked with sparkling wine on ice, waters and even some beers (which the guys appreciated!) Working with Bruce was great! Our venue didn't have a bridal room, so my mother had offered to just drive me and my bridesmaids after we got ready at the hotel. As the day approached, we realized this was a terrible idea and started looking for limos last minute. Bruce and Black Sky were recommended to us by the Courtyard by Marriott, as this is the company the hotel also uses for shuttling wedding guests to and from the hotel. Bruce worked out everything with my mom and was so accommodating. Our driver, Greg made us feel super comfortable and was so good-natured when we blasted Disney songs on the way to the ceremony. I wish I could write a better review because the owner, Bruce, seems like a nice guy. However, I hired Black Sky Limousines to do one very simple thing: pick my husband and me up from Wente Vineyards after our wedding in May in a basic town car and drop us off at the Rose Hotel in Pleasanton. No fancy limo, just a basic town car service which cost $115 including gratuity and complimentary champagne for an eight-mile ride. The driver showed up 30 minutes late -- long after our guests had left the venue. That alone was awkward for us, since the bride and groom are typically among the first to leave, right? A few close friends waited with us to make sure we had a ride to our hotel. The driver did finally show up -- with a broken headlight! So much for a classy ride on our wedding night. When we arrived at our hotel, the driver asked us for payment despite the fact that I had already provided my credit card for payment over the phone at least a week prior. Weeks later, I receive correspondence from Bruce stating that they couldn't read the credit card slip, and he needed our payment yet again (for a third time). My husband provided payment, and he politely mentioned the broken headlight and late pick-up. To my disappointment, Bruce only offered to knock off the driver's gratuity from the price -- $15, which seems a bit cheap considering the quality of service and condition of the car. Lucky for us, this was our only disappointment that night, a pretty minor one in retrospect, considering that all of our other wedding vendors knocked it out of the park that night. UPDATE: The owner, Bruce, has proved to be a stand-up guy who really cares about his business and wants his customers to walk away satisfied. Bruce followed up with me again, and he was concerned about my experience with that particular driver. He apologized for the experience, and he told me that he wouldn't run our credit card, essentially waiving the entire fee -- which I have to say is the sign of an honest business man. I'd give him another shot given all of the positive reviews here and the way in which he handled this situation. As a result, I've adjusted my rating to four stars. read more

I wrote about a wonderful experience with them a year ago and since then we've had several more trips and every single time they've been even nicer than before. Both Greg, who drove us to SFO from Livermore, and Paul W., who picked us up, could not have been nicer or more professional. On the way back, Paul was so nice to drop us at a couple different locations, with absolutely no problem. Everyone I've come in contact with in this company has been helpful and so nice! Bruce gladly accomodated us and even worked with me to get the best bang for our buck. Phil was our driver and we couldn't have been happier! He arrived early and even had 2 bottles of champagne waiting for us. He was very nice, professional and didn't get annoyed with our constant radio channel changing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This awful company did not show up to take the wedding party nor the 150 guest to the wedding reception. Contract was signed, credit card was charged everything was confirmed and they pulled a NO SHOW on the day of the wedding. We called 1000 times frantically and no one called back.. nothing. They seriously left and entire wedding party stranded. We all ended up having to take Ubers and taxis to shuttle people back and forth. Stay away from this company. A company that does this to a bride and groom and their guest on such an important day should not be in business. Bruce never called and is an awful person for doing this. read more

This is long overdue! I'd been planning a Maui destination wedding (in September, 2014) for one of our twin girls for months. Less than a week before we were leaving I realized I hadn't arranged transportation to & from Oakland airport! We'd just moved from Tracy to Livermore and I relied on Yelp to provide transportation options near me. In the past I'd used large vans as we had more people and luggage. There were only five of us this time (big group but, different airports & arrival dates) and I called 7 or 8 companies, Black Sky being 3rd. Bruce at Black Sky was incredible! After gathering info from many, I called Bruce back. I verified everything we'd discussed on my first call as it sounded too good to be true! He was sending his newest white stretch limousine and he'd include champagne & oj for the bride to be (bubbly is her fave)! I hadn't told anyone that I'd booked a limo! It arrived 15 minutes early (5:45 a.m.) which was a comfort on a commute day. We were all surprised and excited when this "ride" pulled up. Our driver was so professional and pleasant. Great start for such an important event/trip. We had the pleasure of meeting Bruce, the owner, upon our return from Maui. We arrived early into Oakland. Bruce was calling me the second my phone was on to let me know he was already there. Wow! Again, champagne, the beautiful limo and an absolute class-act from start to finish.
