I called Nail Garden to book eyebrow wax with Nancy. I normally call to ask if she's busy and normally he will say no so I leave my name & say I will be there in 5 min since I live close. On the occasion she's busy I will ask to make an appointment. Well that's not what happened today. I called he told me to just come in I replied "I don't have time to wait if she's busy" and before I could say" can I just make an appointment his reply to me was very rude and not customer focused. He told me if I can't wait to just go somewhere else & hung up the phone. Surely he doesn't need my hard earned money. I will NOT be a customer there EVER again. They have high turnover and long wait time. Maybe the employees quit because how they are treated. It sucks because now I have to find another person to do my eyebrow wax. The nail salon is beautiful, but looks can be deceiving. However, the owner Nancy refuses to listen to your requests and forces her style on you. She RUINED my brows as if she did not have any skills. Definitely bad listening. Beware if you like your eyebrows. Would not recommend!! read more

I went to Nail Garden after my daughter's recommendation . The salon is very clean and has many nail stations for the customers convenience. They use plastic liners which is a big plus for me. I had Kim do my manicure and pedicure and she did a great job and was very nice. I had to leave early before she was finished for a doctor's appt but it was not a problem for me to go back and finish the services. I also went to Nancy for dermabrasion another day and she was wonderful . I thought it would be uncomfortable and she promised it wouldn't be and she was right. I am looking forward to my second treatment. Nancy does a great job shaping eyebrows too. Please give them a try, you will not be disappointed . read more

I booked my appointment ahead of time and when I got there I still had to wait. Over all the location .. presentation and cleanliness was very good but what does all that matter without good, courteous customer service ... they asked my husband to get out of the spa chair as soon as he finished getting his $38 "deluxe" pedicure that was nothing more than extra lotion .. not even a real massage . They asked him to get up so they could finish cleaning and close up ... even another customer that over heard agreed how rood they were .. from he lady at the front desk to the two tech we had ... as far as for me .. I usually get next generation nails done at Sea Star nails in Dt Orlando ... BtW is 100 better and cheaper ..that's usually where I go but I was in the area and said I'd try this place .. what a mistake!!!! The older man who assisted me didn't even know what he was doing.. he cut me several times while only removing the next gen product.. I ended up not even getting a new set put on bc I was so dissatisfied. In the end for 2 half ass pedicures and removing my next gen polish I paid $75. They charged me $10 to remove my next gen smh.. it's okay bc they will never get my business again and now you all know .. so client be ware.. there in a great location but they are no good. read more

The gel brand of nail Polish that they use peeled of 3 days after getting a full set even though the box says lasts 21 days and they do not back up the products that they use but though they charge extra for it. I got denied for a wax service here. I went in for a simple wax and the man behind the counter immediately asked me if I was paying in cash. I told him I was not and he went on lying about the card machine being broken. There were over 10 people in there getting nails done- I asked him if everyone else was paying in cash and he started stuttering because of course they were not. I left and called about 10 minutes later asking about getting a manicure that same night and paying in my credit card- he had no problem with that and never even mentioned the card machine being"broken". read more

Do not go to this place for your nails. There are plenty of other places that are much better. Not only that if you call and tell them that you're coming don't expect them to give you the proper amount of wait time. I called and said I was on my way and the man who answered said that it would be a five minute wait. I told him we were on our way we will drive there right now. He said OK I have two people finishing up. I said OK will be there in less than five minutes. Then we got there in less than four minutes and I drop my daughter off who walked in and he said sorry three people came in between the time that I got off the phone with you so you'll have to wait now. That is lying to customers telling them things that are not true to get them in. So I turn back around, but in the meantime I called again while my daughter was sitting there and the man hung up the phone on me. So I went inside and asked him why he lied to me. Then the man proceeded to argue with me that I didn't tell him we were coming. When in fact, we were there within four minutes after the phone call and I specifically told him we are not going to do a pedicure we will just do a manicure. After that he said come in because I have two people finishing up and Tiffany who we had requested would not be available but the others would. There are too many nail places in the area To allow people to be dishonest with wait times just to get you in the door and then make you wait longer. He should've said I have two people finishing up but if you're not here in the next five minutes or if someone else walks in before you I will have to take them first. Instead he said come over and I'll take you in five minutes which was a lie. Then, the man was yelling at me at the top of his lungs telling me that God is going to get me and being extremely rude. Nancy is always pleasant and caring and I have sent Nemours Children Hospital friends there especially moms that need some pampering! Awful service and very overpriced worth it to drive a little extra and go to a better nail salon. They rushed to do my manicure and just really did a bad job the nail polish looked lumpy with bubbles then I had to keep reminding the people that I wanted to do my eyebrows took 45 minutes for them to finally remember to get someone then the excuse was that she was a very important person there and then proceeded to tell me that if I had a good review to post it on yelp and if I was a bad review to keep it to myself because they want more business. anytime someone would come into the salon she ran out mid eyebrow to greet them as well as answer the phone it took almost 45 minutes to just do my eyebrows and there are many workers there at a time so I didn't see why they could not do it so that she could focus on doing my eyebrows correctly instead they were watching Netflix on iPads. read more

I wish there was a ZERO stars option. Because this place is TERRIBLE. I have been three times, from very first time had a terrible manicure done, by a gentleman. Came again to give them another chance. Told them I had 1 hr & 15mins, they said no problem.... I was in there 2 hours & 20mins (manicure & pedicure) !! AND was so unhappy with my paint job yet again. Third time I came in desperate for a simple manicure, I asked the front desk lady for a women so that I would not have another bad paint job, they gave me a guy. (not cool) so I said to myself, just try him out, don't be a pain, maybe he'll be alright... NO!! Terrible! and this time I just had to say something. there was paint all over my cuticles, he clearly was annoyed (and this is exactly what i tried to avoid), I asked for someone else to do the paint, he ignored me and said he would fix it, but failed to do so properly. Went with my daughter to Nail Garden for the very first time to get eyebrows waxed. We moved to the area just a couple weeks ago and were looking for a good nail salon. We walked in a few minutes after closing and the kind staff still took us. Mrs Nancy the owner did our waxing. She is a professional. The best eyebrow and lips wax we have ever had. She even used fresh aloe from her own garden to put on us after the wax. So glad we found this great, clean, professional place! read more

Beware! Very poor customer service from management. The staff awkwardly attempts to be an upscale nail salon but fails miserably at customer service. It's a facade. I was a walk in for my first visit. The tech began working on my nails, but then asked me to move to a different tech because his client with an appointment had arrived. I happily moved. After leaving the shop I took a really good look at my nails and noticed that one of the nails she put on was crooked. I went back the next day and Nancy told me to return tomorrow because the tech who did the work was not there and no one else had time to fix one nail. I offered to wait but she said I would have to wait 2 hours. This was a 15 minute repair at most because it was one SNS dipped nail. No polishing or drying time involved. I spent over $100 at this salon and expected better service from the management staff. Lake Nona needs a quality nail salon like MC Spa Nail Bar in Dr. Phillips. read more

I am in town from California with my family for a couple weeks to do the Disney World thing. I hadn't had a manicure or pedicure in months due to our extensive road trip from Cali so I decided it was high time (and my mom was just in town and could babysit my toddler). I wanted to go to a clean place (obviously?) and looked up a couple places on Yelp. Everything I read was either poorly rated or a little too far of a drive, but I happened upon Nail Garden while driving around a bit to explore the neighborhood we are staying in. There was no rating on Yelp yet, but I could tell by the plaza Nail Garden was in that it was fairly new. When I walked in the door I was quite impressed. The place is impeccably clean, and cutely decorated. There's even a flatscreen TV on the wall (soap operas aren't really my thing but it was something to look at). I got a deluxe gel mani and deluxe pedi (deluxe because there was paraffin and hot stones and scrubs involved). The salon had those big massage chairs with the foot tubs. The chairs looked brand new (my manicurist said the place had been open only five months or so) and the foot tubs were each lined with a plastic liner for each new customer. The massage part of the chair worked really well (for a change) and they even had LED lights that changed colors in the water! I get my fair share of mani/pedis in Cali, but the tub liner and LED lights were new and exciting to me. Also I'd never had a gel manicure before. It was quick and easy and they had a great selection of colors. They had OPI, Essie and other good nail polish brands to pick from as well. The manicurist I had did my toes first... put my flip flops on my feet BEFORE she painted my toes so we didn't have to do the awkward shuffle afterwards. She was a young girl and I forgot to ask her name because we were busy exchanging stories about our toddler boys. She was gentle with the callus scrub and kind and friendly. I will probably try to go back to get my gel manicure updated before I leave town again. I wish they had an exact replica of this nail salon back at home in Cali. read more

WORST CUSTMER SERVICE EVER...., I work as a Custmer service agent I expect the same thing in any business the couple that runs the Bisness r taking advantage that there isn't lot of nail salon at lake Nona people r coming anyways so they treat people like a crap I'm a very easy going person down to earth if I complain that's means it's fr a reason I want very one to hear my story please , first time I went there I was telling the 1 boss the only old lady that do wax , I was explaining To her how I want my eyebrow to just be cleaned , she's said in a firm way , ( you can't show me how to do my job ) , I shut my mouth and let her did her job she mad my eyebrow so thin , I'm usually nice but I don't let it go , but since she was old I respected her I didn't say nothing I came back May times only fr nails last time I came back I was in rash , I want to do wax fr my upper lip which u guys know that it takes only 50 second to do so , she was bz doing a Custmer pedicure , I asked the second boss the man at the counter in a very polite way that since I moved to lake Nona I've been using u guys and when I use to be a loyal Custmer in huntersgreek nails salon sometimes they will do my eyebrow quickly even though they r bz with another Custmer cause it's take few second of course if the Custmer before me agree , the man was so rude to me he said u wait an hour or u go to walmart to do ur things I said sir u should have a Custmer service skill to not loose a Custmer u know what he said to me : WE DONT NEED U AS A CUSTMER ,OUT he fired me ;(; ;( I was so embarrassed I cried a river I wish I could do something about it , he could of told me no or the Custmer been waiting a lot we can't do , but he hurts my feeling my pride ..... what' a world r we at right now , don't get me wrong am an immigrant , but this country is so beatiful opened the door fr as and people r taking taking it fr granted read more

Worst customer service EVER and from the owners no less. Typically have the same girl for nails and she always did a good job but sadly have also had one with a complete attitude. Experience today started with me asking who would be doing my nails so I could confirm that it was not the rude one, husband tells me why don't I come back tomorrow. Asked to have eyebrows done by Nancy who has done them several times in the past and I was always happy except for my last visit where she was rushed and one eyebrow was done too thin. All I asked upon entering the room was that she please not make them thin. The theory of making the customer happy obviously is not part of her practice as she began to argue with me, telling me she didn't do it, saying my hair is falling out of my eyebrow, blame blame blame instead of just saying OK and doing her job. After 5 minutes of nonsense she refuses to do them and tells me to do them myself. Dear Nancy, you are there to do what the customer asks you to do and pays you to do, not what you want to do! I will never step foot in this place again. I left and went across the street to the new salon that opened (All Nails and Spa) and they did an excellent job on my nails and eyebrows, were all very nice and welcoming and not over priced like Nail Garden with people who do not know a thing about customer service. I used to love this salon but things have recently changed. Many of the nail techs have moved on so many new faces are appearing. I would question if some of them actually have valid licenses which is really scary. I recently had an experience with a nail tech who didn't know what he was doing. During a pedicure he only cleaned up two of my toes, I do have ten. He also scrubbed the arch of my foot instead of the padding and didn't even know to put top coat on my nails after he painted them. The other nail techs kept looking over at him so I know they knew he didn't know what he was doing. As I went to check out the lady apologized for my experience, although I did not share with her what occurred and said he was new and even offered to have another experienced lady do my manicure, not redo my pedicure the correct way. Then I was charged full price for the "pedicure" I received. I understand inexperience and people learning but I have a problem with management knowing someone may not know how to do a simple pedicure and allowing them to perform one without any supervision or guidance. It may seem dramatic but an inexperienced nail tech could hurt unsuspecting customers. I will never return to Nail Garden not based on one bad experience but for the fact that I will not support a business who doesn't look out for the well being of its customers. read more
