While doing my pedicure he turned the hot water on top of my foot that burned my skin, he didn't seem to care or say anything! I also got a manicure and had to go back again the next day for them to reply the nail polish that all chipped off, they wanted to charge me again & told me don't do anything like washing dishes then it won't chip! When I showed her my foot that he burt they day before she just laughted & said you must have very sensitive skin! Not a great way to keep or treat your customers! read more

I usually don't leave reviews, yet alone negative ones. I get my pedicures every two weeks so I know exactly how this goes. I had two hour break between appointments so I've decided to try this "Nail Place" I really wish I didn't . I sat in chair longer before hand waiting to get a pedicure than an actual pedicure. It was super rushed she did a shit job!!! Yet to make matters worse, once time came for my manicure. She asked me if I had kids, when I replied "No" she started laughing. Are you f@&$ing kidding me???? I asked why she was laughing and she replied . Usually women your age have kids. WTF??? I love this little nail salon. I stopped in after going to a shop nearby about a year ago and have been going there ever since. They always do a great job and listen to my concerns from the last time I was there. They adjust the manicure or pedicure accordingly. Ben and Helen are the sweetest couple! I see many regulars coming in. They remember your name. My sister was visiting and she got an acrylic set put on and she loved it! Oh, did I mention my sister is a nail tech? I wish people would take more time to do positive reviews on here when applicable. Sometimes I think they just use Yelp to only complain. Anyway, check them out!! read more

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this nail salon. They are really no frills but massage chairs are great as are their pedicures. Always easy to get walkin services. My mom lives close by and this is my go to pedi place when I visit. They are very competent and I'm picky. Horrible manicure and service. Run away from this disaster. My friend and I made appointments for manicures at the same time but they weren't ready to assist both of us together. And they kept asking (almost pressuring) us if we were there for pedicures. One person wrapped my gel polish to remove it, another did the most hurried and horrible manicure I have ever had. She used two lights to cure the polish but never let the timer go off before she started applying the next coat. The result? Tacky lumpy sticky nails, even a day later. My friend had oils applied to her cuticles, a hand massage and a decent filing and polish. I received none of those things. Where is the consistency? And to add to the insult, I was charged $9 more! Never again! I will definitely look for referrals beforehand. read more

I would consider myself a snob when it comes to nails. I don't do the average housewife manicure all short and square. I have claws. I go to one salon and see the same person every time, but unfortunately I broke 2 nails while out of town and had to settle for going to a different shop. I can honestly say my nails looked better broken than after visiting the Nail Place. Subpar service in a cluttered space. There was a child bouncing a ball for the entirety of my hour and fifteen minute visit. The man that did my nails cut me and I had to ask him to put antiseptic on. Then he continued using the nail clippers covered in my blood and when he was done PUT THEM IN HIS DRAWER. He tried 5 times to glue a fake nail on my pinky and it wouldn't stay due to the antiseptic. I told him to leave it because I didn't want it to get infected. He didn't even fill in all of my nails and the shape was all wrong. Limited colors of shellac and depressing atmosphere of clutter and puzzles glued to the wall. They put as much thought into their business that they put into its name. read more

I moved in Brighton last year and I was looking for a nearby salon for me. First, I called the number and no one answered until the next morning, Ben called that he got a missed call from my number. I made an appointment that night after work. I met Ben and Helen both of them are really nice people. I was pampered with my foot spa with my pedicure. Helen always massage my feet, and it relaxes me. She does my pedicure and manicure. The chair massager is also great, I can just sit there and don't move. Anyway, since then I have been going there, the price is reasonable, and friendly couple, it seems like they know me right away...I recommend this place- NAIL PLACE. read more

I've only been here once and not sure if I will be returning. The owners are absolutely great, probably the nicest and easiest to talk to that I've met in the nail industry. However, their product wasn't so great. I had shellac and acrylics put on, within a week and a half, four of the nails popped off without any excessive force. Decided to go ahead and try to peel off the others, they came off within minutes. This has NEVER happened to me and being 45 dollars this is totally unacceptable. I called up there and asked if they would refund me, they declined and said they would replace the nails. That obviously was not going to be an option for me. read more
