Incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They do not do the nails we needed and told us "just go "!

I have to say this is the rudest nail salon I've ever been to! I went there twice last year the first time I had to wait two hours to get my nails done, The second time I waited for an hour an 45 min then some other lady walked in and they had her sit down?! When I confronted them about it they said she had been there earlier that day. So I sat back down and waited for another hour then again they let The next woman walk in who also wanted a pedicure they started on her right away. After that I left and haven't been back for a year until this last week. Well when I walked in their whole demeanor was very rude but I thought it was just due to Covid. Also I just thought it was very strange she kept looking me over like she was sizing me up for how much money I was going to spend. Well I went over and picked out my color like she instructed me to do but after I sat down and she saw that I had picked out a regular polish instead of a gel one (which are more expensive) she told me that they do not do regular nail polish. Which I thought very strange considering they had a whole wall full of regular nail polish??! I got up an Walked out! Let's just say I will never be returning back to that place. read more

The owner is very rude, she is moody and dislikes her job. The fist couple of times she was pleasant, so I thought I would continue going there. However, then she was "nasty" and told me they couldn't do my nails when clearly they could. I always gave good tips. While vacationing in Taos I was in desperate need of a manicure (desperate being the operative word). The Nail Spa De Taos was the only one that I could get into, so it was the Nail Spa De Taos that did my manicure/pedicure. Pro: They took me as a walk in. My nails looked nice when finished. It was kind of entertaining watching staff interact with clients. They are really inexpensive. There is decent parking. Con: Not up to my standard of cleanliness(by a long shot).Total lack of customer service (I even heard the manicurist tell her customer to file her own nails when she had asked for a certain shape. I drove 25 minutes from my home for my 330 appointment and when I walked in they told me they were too busy that I would have to wait. Have been verbally assaulted by the female owner, in front of other clients, after I had questioned why I have to wait over half an hour after she told me when to come. Definitely serious anger issues taken out on a client. For your own safety pick another nail saloon! There are very sharp and pointy instruments in the hands of a visibly deranged woman. read more

First off, they told me to go away and come back, then, when they did agree to see me they were very... short. First, they said they were cash only, more on that later. During the actual process, the "technician" proceeded to grab a file that had been left on the counter, no indication of wether or not it had been sanitized or even cleaned. He then proceeded to paint my nails in a very efficient process that left a terribly uneven colour. During the process I noticed a lady paying with what seemed to be a credit card at the counter Then the drying, no complaints other than it seemed pointless, but at the drying station I had a clear view of the sign that listed all of the credit cards they accepted. So in short, they're a bunch of rude incompetent liars and I shall be reporting them for unsanitary conditions as soon as I figure out how. read more

Through the warm season, I get my toes done regularly. For years, I have gone to this place before moving out of state. I recently moved back and went in to get a pedicure today. I cannot even give this place one star but it made me pick at least one in order to leave a review. It was absolutely awful. The owner actually started yelling (like full on abusive telling) at an older woman because she did not know if she wanted round or square nails on her first ever Set of acrylics and changed her mind when she figured out what that meant. I had asked about getting flowers on my toes and she said she did not do them for regular nail polish. only if you get gel. I get my toes done regularly enough that I just use regular polish. Another woman came in and asked if she could get the gel on her acrylic nails changed and the woman said no I don't do that, she was rude to everyone and over-the-top yelling at someone's grandma I'm horrified, I will never give that place my money again. I understand that people have a bad day now and again, but it was highly unprofessional and gross. The other woman that was sitting there mid manicure looked at me and mouthed "oh my God. Ok, so I don't mind waiting for a pedicure. But to sit there waiting, with your feet in cold water, then be told oh she doesn't have time to do a design. NO. IF YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER WAITING WILLING TO PAY 15.00, ON TOP OF PEDICURE FOR DESIGN, DO IT. The reviews were right. This place sucks when it comes to customer services. Nail Spa de Taos gets 4 stars for doing a good, careful job and 1 for congeniality. Don't expect a mint, a glass of water, or much of anything resembling hospitality here. Especially, don't expect much politeness, graciousness or the typical professional, welcoming attitude you'd expect when you're willing to use an offered service. "I'd like a gel." "We're busy." Period. I've seen this over and over. There's no "Come back in an hour," "May I make you an appointment?" Or anything. Since the choices are fairly limited and this family has something of a monopoly, you can either suck it up or go to the (not) nearest town. If you're in from out of town and want to renew a Nexgen set or other powder, forget it. Although their sign sets powder prices, they won't do that either. Wait till you get home. read more

Rude, rude and rude. There is a way to politely tell people that you aren't able to help them. I got a pedicure from them and nicked it a day later. Went in to happily pay for a repair, they yelled - NO REPAIRS, so I said, what about a polish change on ONE TOE -since polish change is an menu item. With only 2 people in the shop, she said, it will be 2 hours. I mean COME ON. I'm waiting for a drop in place that is nice and has ventilation. I have been going to Taos Nail Spa for years. Service has always been so so but the male owner of the salon gives the best pedicure I have ever had for the price. That being said, they have a new male employee and I was not only disappointed in the manicure..he rushed through it and it was uncomfortable, but now I have 2 nails and 1 toenail that are irritated and one has bled. Truthfully, it was unbelievable how poorly he performed..my own manicure looks better than his. And he was talking the entire time in a rather loud voice and was rude to me a couple of times...and I am not a person who complains...if I have a problem I simply do not go back. read more

I have been going to taos nail spa. For over a year. The service has always been great. The place is way cleaner then other places that I've been too. The quality is beyond great. My nails never break or fall off. She is extremely busy and really tries to please her customers. When she is working on you ,you are all that matter to her at that time. Not sure why last customers gave her a bad review. If she is too busy she will tell you. At least she's honest without keeping you there forever.. I recommend everyone I know to her. It is a drop in nail salon and sometimes they get busy. I usually run an errand come back and have a wonderful pedicure or manicure.
