Oh my, this place is gorgeous! This was the first time I've been to a nail spa with a beautiful, comfortable, dedicated waiting area. The more the service continued, the better it got, with the staff checking on you to make sure you're alright and not forgotten. Next, sitting in the tall, grey, diamond-crusted chairs for a pedicure was the best. The chair was so plush and relaxing. But I must brag on my pedicure and manicure. My toes can carry a lot of dead skin and cuticle. She carefully dug in and got every dry flake from the corners. She oiled and massaged each toe, checking again. The hot towels felt so good. She repeated the same care on my fingers. I have to thank her, thank her. This was really, truly a relaxing experience. Looks very nice but service was the worse I had ever experience in my life .Never will go back again.

I usually visit Garden Spa Nails in McDonough with my sister and daughter, and earlier this year our experiences were generally good to fair. Unfortunately, my recent solo visits after work have not been the same quality. Last month, I went on a regular Tuesday evening (no holiday or busy event) for a natural nail manicure with SNS polish. During the appointment, I had about five different people rotate working on my nails, and the service took almost two hours to complete. I tried to give the salon the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was just an off night. This week, I returned on a regular Wednesday for another natural nail SNS manicure and a gel pedicure. While the service was a little quicker, I specifically asked for the same polish color on both my nails and toes. The result was completely different shades; my nails ended up a deep purple while my toes were a pastel purple. At that point, after waking up at 4 a.m. and working a 10-hour day, I honestly did not want to spend another hour having them redo it. It's disappointing because I really wanted to continue supporting this salon, but consistency and quality matter. Sadly, it may be time for me to find a new nail salon. read more

I went after finding online. It looked very posh and nice. I had Cindy who was very pushy about getting more expensive pedicure besides the deluxe one I needed. She then wanted me to use gel polish, and kept insisting I get my nails done. I understand the upselling but it was more badgering and then constantly talking and laughing with other coworkers and stopping in the middle of my pedicure was so unprofessional. She was also very rough on my feet it was just not a good experience I wouldn't recommend but the place looks nice and I expected so much more. I wouldn't recommend anymore to go. read more

Pretty salon and my nails turned are cute (for the most part), but I was YELLED at by nail tech Kim for simply asking for her to straighten my nails. I asked her to add another bead of acrylic to a nail because it was uneven, but she kept repeating that she's done nails for 10 years (so have I) and that she didn't know what I wanted her to do despite just telling her. Her volume attracted the host to her station and he attempted to advocate for me, but even he could not calm her down. This all happened after I stupidly allowed her to rip my previous set off instead of soaking it. I always have trouble speaking up at nail salons, but I just wanted my $100 set to look right. But honestly, the worse part of this experience was the roach stomping around me the entire appointment. My mom received a pedicure from Cindy and loved it (she truly was wonderful), but I had a terrible experience here unfortunately with Kim. read more

I came to this salon previously and absolutely loved it--the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. This time around, unfortunately, my experience was very different. I got the hybrid tap gel on my nails and a fresh fruit pedicure with gel polish. Cindy did my pedicure, and it felt extremely rushed. I didn't receive a full massage, and we had to go back and forth several times just to settle on a toe color--even after I showed a picture. After the tap gel service, I noticed there was still sticky residue left on my nails. When I expressed that I wasn't satisfied, the man at the counter showed me some color palettes and told me, "Next time, look by the couch." But when I first arrived, they immediately took me straight to the pedicure chair without giving me a chance to choose a color. He also attempted to wipe the sticky residue off my nails at checkout, but even after that, it was still there. He was constantly on his phone, and having loud conversations on speaker, didn't care to see my reference photo or hear how I wanted my nails. He didn't care if I was actually satisfied with the work. Every time I suggested something, he looked at me like he didn't want to hear it. I took my 5 year old daughter here for a girls day. We were both super excited, as it's been 5 months at least since we've gone together. She wanted what was a very simple design, pink with multicolored flowers (dots) and she wanted me to have matching toes. Because she's so little, and as expected, small fingers, I asked for her to have the design on her big toe and then a middle finger or ring finger and a thumb. Ended up with the pointer and middle finger. After she was finished with her fingers and toes, she showed me that the guy who did her nails filed her skin so far down, she had dried blood. Keep in mind here, she's FIVE. Dude shoulda been super gentle with her. I've taken her to other places in the past, with ZERO issues. The two women who did our pedicures were both nice, but didn't give me the matching design, only matching color, my daughter ended up getting white and silver flowers, (not what was asked for) and my daughter struggled the whole time to sit up because she was so far forward in the seat and they didn't offer her a pillow at all. I kept asking her if she was happy with it because I saw immediately that wasn't what she picked out on Pinterest. She said yes, so I dropped it. They offer kids services, so they should be prepared, at least in theory... the guy never apologized, no discount or anything, but I guess at least they gave her a bandaid..?? so um, thanks...? My daughter, upon leaving, asked to never go back because her finger hurts. Big bummer on otherwise what should have been a great day. I still tipped 20% because I don't feel that the 2 ladies should have to be punished for the guy's mishap, but seriously. Beyond disappointing. read more

I've been a loyal client for over a year, always spending $100+ per visit and tipping generously but my recent experience left me shocked, disrespected, and completely unheard. I've been going to Kay for over a year now and have always paid $100+ for my sets and tipped $20 or more every visit. She's very skilled at what she does and has always executed my nail inspo beautifully which is why I've remained loyal and even referred several of my own clients, friends, and their family members to her. However, my experience today left me feeling truly disappointed and disrespected. When I showed the picture of the design I wanted (which I had sent beforehand), one of the nails didn't match what was discussed. When I mentioned it, her response and tone were very condescending and patronizing, as if I was wrong for expecting what I had already communicated. From there, she began overtalking me, raising her voice, and even speaking to another nail tech in another language while looking in my direction. I couldn't understand what was being said, but it was extremely uncomfortable and made me feel as though they were talking about me which is unprofessional in any service setting. At one point, a man came over someone I often see at the front desk seemingly to see why she was yelling. When I asked if he was the owner, he shook his head no. I then asked if he was the manager, and he shook his head yes. Still, he never once asked what was going on, never attempted to de-escalate the situation, and offered no assistance. He then began speaking in another language and walked away without saying another word. I found that extremely unprofessional and dismissive. What hurt the most was when she said, "I take my time with you for only $100," as if the price she set was a burden and to clarify, that amount wasn't even for a new set; it was for a fill-in with designs on every finger. That's always the case with my fill-ins. My nails aren't long I'd classify them as medium length yet I've noticed she always rings me up as "long." I never once complained about the pricing, even though people often tell me it's a lot, especially since I don't get my toes done. As a business owner myself, I've always preached not to question someone's pricing that's their worth, and if you can afford it, you can, and if not, you simply don't. The entire situation caught me so off guard that I had to take a step back just to make sure I wasn't overreacting. I remained calm and respectful the entire time, even as I was being talked over and made to feel small. As a loyal client and business owner, I believe in treating every person with kindness, respect, and professionalism. The salon is clean and nicely presented, but customer service matters just as much as skill. Sadly, this will be my last visit. I've been coming here for months now. The vibe andis cute I tried several different gel overlays before I landed on TAP however they have one person in the salon that can do TAP. Most recently, I made an appointment for a pedicure and a full in 1 hour apart. They had her complete a pedicure on another client that went 45 over my appointment time because I didn't want to get my pedicure and fill in at the same time. This is unacceptable. This is the last time coming here. The need to value the time of the clients otherwise it made no sense to schedule an appointment. read more
