After reviewing this establishment on another applicaton, I was texted by the owner Maria, regarding my mostly positive review. To say the least, I will not be returning. My only complaint was the poor customer service at the front desk and the rap music, blasting adult lyrics as soon as I walked in. A young lady at the desk, acted as though I was a nuisance, just by asking a few questions (first time being back since Covid19 hit). I was considering cancelling my appointment, since I signed up with Maria and was assigned to CoCo. I went ahead, figuring it would be all right, especially under Maria's guidance. My stress level was already high, because it was pouring rain. I decided to use the new treatment, some type of spray/ointment that makes it more tolerable. For $15 it did absolutely nothing, maybe it's just me? So after letting that go, CoCo listened to my concerns and was very attentive, professional and provided an great session. Even though it wasn't a totally great experience, I still gave them a 5-star rating. Then I received a text from Maria saying, "I should've contacted her regarding her young staff members, before saying anything negative in my review?" To say the least, I am now an ex-customer. Never in my lifetime, has a company contacted me in such a way. Totally rude and unprofessional. The sign is easy to miss! It's in the center next to an eye doctor. The lobby is really cozy, clean & cute! They offer wine or water when you check in. They were a bit behind however it was the Friday of a holiday weekend so it's understandable. Everyone was nice and professional. My "stylist" was Ms. Tellia and she was amazing! I went in to have my under arms waxed. I was nervous because as a new GA resident I haven't allowed anyone but my stylist back in Cali groom me. I have eczema and sad to say there are still some folks who are uneducated. Tellia was fabulous! She knew what I was dealing. Made conversation and recommendations. I had a pretty good experience here. I decided to try a waxing place that was closer to my house since my normal place is 20-25 minutes away. I called around noon to ask if they had any appointments for 1:00. Luckily they did, and I was able to be seen as soon as I arrived. I was thoroughly impressed by the ambiance and decor. It felt very homey yet elegant. My esthetician was actually still in training and had only one year of experience, so I was a bit nervous to see how the rest of the session would ensue. Thankfully it wasn't too bad. She was very accommodative and listened to feedback well. I wasn't too thrilled about the sugaring, as I've had this done before on several occasions and it wasn't nearly as uncomfortable. After telling her about how unnecessarily painful it was, she adjusted her technique and it was much more tolerable. I also was pretty taken aback by the price. My normal wax (with an esthetician with 30+ years of experience) is $30 at my regular studio in Atlanta. To pay $45 for the same service done by an esthetician in training, to me, is not worth it. All in all, I would recommend this place if you're in the area. I'm not sure if my recommendation stands if you're any further north/south as there may be cheaper options providing the same services. ***UPDATE*** After a conversation with the owner, Maria, I thought of removing a star, but decided not to, since my review still stands on the establishment and my experience here. She reached out to me after posting this review quite defensive. I was a bit confused, as my initial review was mostly positive, with only two sentences mentioning my disagreement with the cost of the particular service I received (I have no problem with the listed prices of the other services). I actually wanted to return because I saw a few services on her site I would be interested in, but now, I don't think I would. Based on her response, it seemed she didn't care about retaining a first time client, or listening to any feedback for that matter. I would like her to improve in the way she responds to constructive criticism, because I meant no harm or ill intent by it. Words like "sweetheart" and statements like, "I have businesses to run," aren't the most professional, and I've had a business owner reach out to me in a much more positive light (even if they didn't agree with my feedback). This is definitely the best Brazilian wax I've ever received! I work far and get off late so I came here since my regular waxing place doesn't have appointments later than 6:30. BEST DECISION EVER! Akesha was so attentive to detail and gave me the best experience ever. I left feeling smoother than I've ever been and the conversation we had was so genuine and kept me distracted during the painful parts lol The wax used was also amazing!! I'm not sure what kind of hard wax it was but I believe it helped with the pain as well! The texture felt very flexible even when hard, so it was really easy to remove from the skin. The prices are a bit higher than my normal place but I can budget for such a great experience. Next time I'll try to use the Yelp coupon since I didn't see the offer this time around. The location was very convenient for me and easy to find, right across the street from the Publix. Overall I'll be booking with Akesha again!! This place is amazing. I went to her for the $69 full body special they have on Wednesday's. There was complimentary water or wine when you arrive and the room where you get the wax had some great music playing. I'm usually not difficult when I get waxed but it had been a while since I shaved and it was destined to hurt. Maria was so sweet the whole time and didn't get irritated at all by me moving around. A good wax joint is hard to find, a great one is even harder. I called on a Saturday afternoon to see if they had any appointments, they told me I could walk right in. Very disappointed in my recent two experiences with Maria's studios! I left a review a few weeks ago due to having a small, tender, burn spot on my vagina due to one of Maria's techs having the steam to hot during my V-steam. After several attempts to have her fix the issue which she "fixed" by telling me to use a near by fan to fan myself if it was to hot!!!! I finally had to ask her to just turn the steam pot off because it was unbearable. After she turned it off, she came back in the room 10 or 15 minutes later to let me know my service was over. She did not give me a towel or anything to dry myself off and just walked out the room. While standing at the counter paying for my horrible service, I informed her staff that I was not happy, her response was, "You're not the first person to complain and I've told Maria she needs to get new pots because something must be wrong". I left a review about the experience and Maria called me when she saw it apologizing about what happened and was willing to give me a credit and asked if I would consider taking my review down or changing it, and to book my next appointment with her. I took the review down because I was willing to give her establishment another try, because I did have good waxing experiences there. Wellllll, I called yesterday to see if she had any appointments for today(3/4/19), her husband answered her business phone, I asked him if Maria had anything for today, he told me she had some times blocked off, but he would call to see if she could fit me in, and that she would be at the Stockbridge location. I said, "okay". He called back and said I could come at 5pm. I left work today at 4pm because it's an hour drive from my job to her Stockbridge location. On my way, there was an accident which put me running late. I called her business phone and her husband, who booked my appointment WITH MARIA the day before answers and I told him what was going on. I asked if I could be fit in at a later time today or if I needed to just come another day. He started talking to someone who he claims after the fact was NOT Maria and then tells me I can come at 6pm. When I got to the wax studio MARIA WAS NOT THERE and the young lady there had no clue who I was or that I was coming, but was willing to try to fit me in after her other appointments. I called Maria's number back and told her husband what was going on and he said it was a mix up and he made a mistake. I hung up with him pissed and I left. He called me back twice. After a few minutes I returned his call. He told me he wasn't talking to Maria when I called and the appointment was reset to 6pm and that it was Courtney he was talking to, but I know that's not true because Courtney had no clue I was coming, who I was, and she already had appointments there, and why would he be talking to Courtney about an appointment made with Maria?!?! I'm totally disappointed in the bad service and bad customer service I've received. No amount of store credits is with worth bad service and wasted time! Maria, if you are reading this I'm not crazy, I don't have any personal or professional issues going on, as you tried to assume because I gave your establishment a bad review due to two valid and real complaints! I did the V-steam & Brazilian body wax. I had originally purchased a coupon off of yelp, but when I arrived and let her know about the coupon, she said thatbshe doesn't accept them anymore (Yelp needs to update info to reflect that). However, she DID go ahead and honor half the price of the coupon. The ambiance of the studio was calm & quiet (I believe I was at her home location). Maria was professional, and patient as I couldn't get a babysitter before my appt, but she was ok with it, and let my kids play with her children's toys. The V-steam was about 45mins & relaxing. She took her time with the waxing, and removed ALL of the hairs. Pricing for both services were really afforable. read more

Waxing has never been so at ease!! This places incredible! I've visited several waxing places in the metro area since become a consistent waxer 4 years ago. Mine you, I don't go the recommended 3-4 weeks so by time I'd made it here I was at maybe week 7. SOON as you walk in, the aura is dim, calming, sexy, elegant all in one small business. Akesha (sp) was my esthetician and when i tell you; she's downright AMAZING! They offer you the choice of chocolate wax or sugaring if your hair is able to removed through this process. Oh, and i forgot to mention, they offer you wine or water; but HOW MANY ESTABLISHMENTS are doing that???!!! There are so many good things I don't know where to start and stop. Well, the chocolate wax was simply awesome. It goes thick and comes off with minimum ease. While being waxed, Akesha was very knowledgable and well informed me on how to properly exfoliate and take care of my lady parts. They also do v-steam which I didn't get because it was my first visit, but the next one I will be doing the brazilian/vsteam combo which is $90. The hard wax is $45 while sugaring is $50. I may opt for sugaring just to check it out since the wax was the LEAST PAINFUL I've ever received; I CAN only imagine how soothing the sugaring will be. Oh!! and on top of all of this;her waxes are completely organic. Yep and the OWNER MAKES THEM!! This used to be my go to spot until the change in front desk staff and estheticians started happening. This place is appointments only and usually I can call, get an answer and get my appointment scheduled right away. If they miss your call, you usually get a call back. What made me stop going is when there were a lot of new estheticians working there, their waxing practices were very questionable. Some of the techniques they used were some things I have never seen. The pain my last visit was so intense I told the girl to just stop and I've been getting waxed for years and never experienced anything like that. Also after the last time I called and never got an answer I found a better place and I've never been back. As a long time customer, I'm disappointed in Maria. I was caught in traffic and missed my appointment therefore resulting in a $25 charge. I tried to explain to the front desk personnel, who was rude and kept saying you will be charged $25. I asked to speak with Maria and was told she was with someone and will be leaving afterwards. LOL she made me so comfortable and kept the whole thing non-awkward; this is some really personal stuff going on people!!! I walked into this establishment at 2:19 pm on 5/29/18 @ which time the front desk person informed me that someone walked in before me & the aesthetician would be right with me. The aesthetician also saw me walk in & hears the services that were needed & not once said a word...... The front desk individual left for the day, i stayed waiting. The lady & client walks out of the room at 3:23, and she says a name which wasn't mine, it's her 3 o'clock appointment and looks over to me & says oh i'm sorry i had a full body walk in before you & I'll be here until 6 if you want to come back ..... She proceeds to ask was i informed that there was only one aesthetician, so i said yes but i was also informed that i would be taken after the person that was in the back and not once was i informed that there was a 3 o'clock appointment and i couldn't be seen until after that otherwise i could have come back! As i informed her i won't EVER be back! I had my doubts about coming anyways because it's more expensive than other places I've been going that i love but they were closed, so i decided to try this one.  After all of this I emailed the owner from the website and she called apologizing for what had happened. She then informed me that she would speak with those individuals, and that she was calling from her personal number that i could use to contact her & she would personally do my wax when she got back in town. I texted her on Tuesday to see when she would be back in town so that i could go to another place if it would be a few days. NO RESPONSE! It is now Sunday, still NO RESPONSE! Smh read more
