Walked in for 2 pedicures on a busy Saturday. Got seated right away. They had many employees on staff for the day. The employees were very friendly. The male technician that did my pedicure did a great job, the only thing that could have been different is that I had no color and he still used a grinder on top of my nails which made them rough and dull, wish he would have buffed them a little to fix that and then be only other thing is he was very much on the gentle side but I won't complain about that too much since I have had male techs that hurt me during the massage not realizing their strength. The other tech was female and she did a decent job but didn't file the nails at all and the one with me was done about 15 minutes before mine and we had the exact same thing and started at the exact same time so I feel bad for them they didn't get the full deal paid for. Overall a good place to go, those are just minor things that could totally be overlooked. I would recommend this place for sure. read more

Walked in with my friend to get a pedicure for her and my nails filled in/ done around 12. I told the guy I would need someone that did designs. The guy checked us in and assigned someone to do my friends toes then showed me to the guy that would do my nails. I sat down and he looked at what I already had done and then tells me I would have to go back up front and wait for someone else. So I sit up front and as I'm waiting I ask Mia if she could do them. She said her next appointment was 1:30. I said that's fine. I told him I wanted to wait for her and he responded one minute. I waited inside for another 30 min then went to walk around since it was 12:18. Mind you I'm already checked in on the computer they had us put our info in and never got serviced by anyone. I come back at 1:15 and I'm being told I don't have an appointment because I didn't tell him. Which I 100% did. Horrible customer service. While visiting my parents, I needed to get my nails done. I looked for a shop where I could book online. I located this shop and made an appointment for Saturday. When I arrived, I was told to check in and pick out a color from the wall. I told The receptionist I wanted dip powder. She said she would get me the book. I was then taken to the pedicure chair. I waited about 10 minutes before someone greeted me. She said hi and asked what pedicure I wanted while handing me a price list. I asked fora glass of white wine. She looked confused and said they have water. This was disappointing. I always enjoy a glass or two at my regular nail salon. The prices were very reasonable and less than those in Charlotte. I opted for the Deluxe Pedicure with Gel Polish. It was only like $42! It was a very good and relaxing pedicure. I had trouble picking my polish because they don't have matching colors. You know like OPI dip, gel, & polish. But I was able to find to very similar colors. After my pedicure, I was moved to the table for my nails. The color matched my toes. However, my nails are not shaped the same. I didn't have time to complain as I had an event. They are a little slow. My appointment was at 11 and I didn't leave there until after 2! I was told I was going to get my nails done first and when I asked if it was with Lily the girl looked at the book and confirmed it. Turns out I was actually talking to Lily. She told me to get my pedicure done first which was what I originally wanted. The pedicure was good and I was overall happy with it. I sat at the Lily's table and it just wasn't the best experience. Today I had the best and most thorough pedicure of my life with Dorcas! I have some challenging toe nails - my big toes curve significantly which makes me prone to ingrown nails. Dorcas took the time to clean my toes and address any ingrown toe nails. I also had one nail fall off and is growing back, but is quite short. Dorcas rebuilt a nail for me using dipping powder, and now my toes look better than they have in years. I will definitely be back again and Dorcas will be my one and only for my toes! i got my nails done here I did black almond for Halloween and they looked good but he was very ruff. I do not remember his name but his nail spot is right in the front row right. I really like coming to Nail Story! They do accept walk-ins, but you may be waiting awhile. I would definitely make an appointment if you have somewhere to be. I have been getting all my services done by Jaime and she is absolutely wonderful! She is also the only one who does the lash services. I went one morning when she wasn't available and had anyone do it and it was a gentleman. He did a good job on my nail set (french tips) but I felt as if he went about doing my full set in an inconvenient way such as overdoing the acrylic and then having to file underneath the nails. He also filed my nails very rough and burned the edges of my fingertips where I bled in two spots. Their pedicures are also great and they have a menu with several different options. My daughter and I have gone to Nail story for the last few months since we moved to Greenville. Our subsequent visits differed very much from our first visit. Each time we were given a different technician. I understand things happen with scheduling, sickness, etc. however this seem to be an ongoing thing. It's not personable at all, I feel like it is a factory. I'm used to a personable experience and at Nail story I just didn't have that. The final straw came when my daughter went for a pedicure. they did not honor the website price as they told her it had gone up. They gave her a 20 minute pedicure with numerous interruptions in between. She chose no polish. The charge was $37 plus tip of course. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. I made an appt for a deluxe pedicure and also noted on the online request that I would like a manicure. The confirmation only noted the pedicure. When I walked in they were very busy so I thought I would just pass on the manicure, but then once seated when the tech asked if I'd also like a manicure I said yes. The pedicure was great! The leg massage was wonderful, and I enjoyed having the option of a paraffin wax dip. BUT...the salon is small and the atmosphere was chaotic. When my pedicure was done the tech said thank you, got up and moved on. I assumed I was supposed to sit there and allow the polish to dry. She came back a few minutes later and put disposable flip flops on my feet, so I got up and went to pay. Still not a word about a manicure. Lily is my girl! Although all the staff is absolutely amazing. I have been going here for about a year now and I would recommend everyone that works there. However, Lily is my go to. She knows exactly what I want even when I don't know what I want I usually show her a picture inspiration but then always tell her to do whatever she wants with it and they ALWAYS come out better than what I had envisioned. The lady that did my toes was super sweet but my feet are still rough on the sole. She barely scrubbed the calluses. I prob should of spoken up but I didn't want to be an annoying customer.
