I had Angel as my nail tech and hubby had Bella. Both were very thorough and checked in on how they were doing, which we appreciate. I stand corrected by my previous review on them reusing nail filer/buffers. They do use new ones for each client, as I've witnessed it. We both had the Dahlia mani and spa pedi. I took Alan to Dahlia because of the amazing upper massage that comes with the Dahlia mani and wanted him to experience it. Angel did an excellent job all around, and from what I gather, so did Bella. Will definitely be back. Even with my last review, I had every intention of going back just because I know the potential and they surely didn't fell short of that. One of the owners made a point to check-in on us as well, loved that. Hoping to be a long time customer!

Angel took care of me so well, not even a blink at my regrettably overgrown toenails (they're hard for me to get to) or what poor shape they were in. Just went to it, trimmed them down and pampered my feet so nicely. Definitely recommending to anyone who's concerned about their feet being 'imperfect'. It's so calming in there, and the chairs even massage your back while your feet are pampered. Absolutely love it, and she even checked in to make sure I wasn't hurting or anything, not that anything did hurt. Seriously worth it, and the prices are good too.

Here was my experience: I came in for a gel manicure and asked for a French tip design. I will say that the design looked nice, and it was the design that I requested. However, within 1.5 hours of leaving the salon, I noticed that the polish on one of my pinkies had chipped! Normally, I would go right back to the salon, so they could fix it. However, I was catching a flight. Thus, I was rushing around a bit afterwards to get to the airport on time, but I have gotten gel manicures many times before, and this is the first time it chipped so quickly. I came in with someone else, and she had even said she was concerned about her nails chipping because they only put one coat of polish. I guess I was case in point. I called and spoke with them; they requested pictures and took down my number. I did talk to a manager the next day about my experience. However, the manager reiterated multiple times that they do not offer any refunds. Normally, this would be fine, and I would go back in to get them fixed. However, I was only visiting Washington and visit sporadically (not even once per year). All she could offer was a discount or to work something out the next time I visit. I am certainly not hoping that anything will come of this, but I do hope they address this issue in the future so that other people's nails don't chip so quickly, especially because this salon is not cheap. With other nail salon options in the area and given my experience, I will likely not be back. I did give them 3 stars because they at least tried to address the issue (though not satisfactorily) and I did like my nail design. However, given the cost, I would rather go elsewhere in the future.

When I arrived on time for my appointment, I waited almost 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged or greeted me. I waited another few minutes to be taken to the pedicure chair. The nail technician did not tell me her name and she was not wearing a name tag. She was not very friendly and did not seem to want to talk to me. She did talk with a co-worker, so I know she was not mute. The salon needs to do a better job in training their employees on customer service. Otherwise, the service was good and I was satisfied with the pedicure. I will not be going back to this salon.

I personally prefer a very detailed manicure with thorough cuticle work. At this salon, cuticle trimming is considered an additional manicure service and costs an extra $15. While it's becoming more common for salons to charge separately for this service, I find it to be an important part of a nail appointment. The salon is about 40 minutes from my home, so unless I'm in a pinch like I was this time, I'm not sure I would make the drive regularly. That said, I noticed they have many loyal, returning clients, which speaks positively about the business. For my personal preferences, I tend to look for a more detailed manicure, but I appreciated the friendly service and can see why so many customers continue to come back.

We decided to try the Volcano Spa Pedicure, and honestly, it made the whole experience feel a little more fun and elevated with the bubbling volcano step and relaxing aromatherapy throughout the 5-step process. The atmosphere at Aroma Nail & Spa in Southeast King County always feels calm and welcoming, and they consistently take great care of me every time I come in. We both also got basic manicures, and one thing I really appreciate is how much healthier and stronger my nails feel when I keep up with my maintenance here. It ended up being such a sweet little anniversary date idea and a genuinely relaxing way to slow down together for an hour. I'd absolutely come back for the Volcano pedicure again.
