The customer service here was decent. My first nail tech didn't inform me I accidentally chose a regular polish instead of a gel polish. Thank goodness my second nail tech fixed the issue. I want to like this place. Prices are good and location is great, the girls are really nice. But every single time I get my nails done there they crack or chip in less than 24 hours. I came here once and had a bad experience, but decided to give it a second try. I came in again today a few minutes early for a 10 o'clock appointment. No one acknowledged me for about 15 minutes after my appointment start time. When someone walked by I asked when I could expect a technician and she looked at me like I was evil. The woman I asked, ended up doing my pedicure and barely acknowledge me the whole time. I had come in on class pass so I asked her at the end how I could tip and she spoke so rudely to me. I started going to this salon over 20 years ago and loved it. But the last few times the quality has really gone down hill. I paid $40 + $8 tip for gel nails ( wanted to give 20% for my pedi and only 10% for mani but they put it all together when you pay) It was done so sloppily. I have gel polish on my fingers and she barely did the cuticles on one hand so it looks "rough". What's nice about this salon is you can usually get a same day appt. plus I live in WS. I may try one more time and actually request only the techs that I know and see if it is better. This is a really great place. The woman who did my underarms & legs is so gentle and nice. She's being sure to get ALL of the hair, too. She used tweezers to make sure. Wow! The last time I got waxed somewhere, it was really expensive & she left some lines of hair on my legs. This is a nice change. I looked on line at prices beforehand & saw reviews, so I got pretty excited to come check this place out for the first time, though I've lived in West Seattle forever (basically). I went in for a gel manicure on with a friend on Sunday. It looked good from a distance but pretty terrible up close for the first few days (bubbles and lumpy, uneven filing), by Tuesday multiple nails had chipped. This was my first time getting acrylics and they turned out so good! The nail techs know exactly what to do when you show them a reference photo and will ask you if you like the length, color, etc. Super sweet ladies, even with an extremely busy salon we were only there for an hour and 45 minutes. I cannot say enough bad things about this place. I spent months trying to grow my nails and strengthen them before getting them done again before a trip. I went in and was ultra specific about what I wanted because the same woman who ruined my nails this time had ruined them before. I said I do not want them cut or to lose any length and after confirming she understood, she cut my pinky nail down to a nub. This salon is not anywhere close to cheap so do yourself a favor and just screw your nails up at home for free. They used to be great and have gone massively down hill. read more

The nail tech was 20 min late for my appt. She left in middle to do eye brow wax. I ordered the deluxe pedi and it was not deluxe for sure.

PSA to always give nail salons another chance. I went in 4 days ago for gel x and was surprised when they started lifting so soon. (Typically a set will last a month, not days). So I went back today and they quickly offered to redo them, and I didn't have to wait. Mary was gentle/patient in removing the old gel since my nails were weak from having just gotten them done. I opted to change my design, otherwise I think they wouldn't have charged me. Mary took her time and I'm way happier with them than I was a few days ago. She charged me for a color change but I wanted to provide a generous tip anyway since she redid everything. Sure I guess I could've argued to not pay anything but that's not good karma (especially since it was someone else who did the original set at the salon) I'm just happy they were super hospitable, diligent, and detail oriented. Chatting with each other in Vietnamese in front of customers is not professional. Yes, I mentioned it to the lady (shorter hair older looking) that she made a mistake on SEVERAL nails No, she didn't fix it and just told me "oh very sorry i cannot anymore it hard now. polish is very hard now. see? I cannot fix" (wtf?!! i didn't come in to pay for f*cked up nails!) Yes, the place wasn't very clean/new. The machine to place my fingers in to dry my shellac nails had dirty finger prints on the clear plastic I felt disgusted I wasn't resting my fingers down the whole time. No, I didn't get a refund or anything despite my obvious displeasure & VERY obviously unevenly painted nails. Normally this is a 5 star place that I have been faithful to for over 8 years. Today I had two new technicians and it was the first time I didn't leave a tip. The first one filled the pedicure basin with 100% hot water, as she was busy looking at her phone and I burned my foot. The second took a phone call in the middle of my service and chose not to put a base coat under my bright red polish because she had to move her vehicle and was running out of time. I've been going to this nail salon for a little over a year now and normally have a great experience and long lasting nails. I was switched over to plexi-gel which was amazing and fun. Decided to switch back to regular shellac and within the week my nails began to chip off. Which before I had made the switch the regular shellac would last me weeks not days. OUCH! My daughter just came home from getting her eyebrows & lip waxed. After getting completely burned on both to the point where they will definitely scab up, she was told that "it always happens this way. Normal." NOT! Any semi experienced practitioner would not apply wax that hot to someone's face. She came home in obvious pain and at this point my wife is outraged. Going back down to Nail Time with our wounded one in tow, the owner (admittedly very nice and apologetic) acknowledged finally that it was a bad wax job. She did give her back the nominal amount for the service and my daughter elected to let her keep the tip. I give this experience two stars since they did refund the money but the next few weeks of pain and embarrassment is not worth the price.
