Spoonflower - 5 months wear barstool back on the corner

    Spoonflower

I searched Amazon, Etsy, eBay and every fabric company i could find for a certain type of pattern…read moreand color to recover my sofa to match with my middle eastern decor. On the point of giving up, i stumbled on Spoonflower and saw a cornucopia of choices in the range of what i was seeking by creative designers. Ordered three designs of bed sheets - to use the flat sheets as fabric to cover - and one was absolutely perfect. The one star off is because the sheets are only printed in one side, and the hemming is cheap, and fabric is rough- i would not want to actually sleep on these sheets- and wherever the underside would show if the bed was turned back would ruin the look. However for my purposes i love the fabric and love that i am getting a unique artist's design. I will definitely look to Spoonflower again when i have another project that requires a specific pattern and color fabric. Based on the other reviews here i would be wary of the wallpaper but maybe I'd tack it up so it wouldn't peel down to make the best of it - if i loved the look!!!

Customer service completely disappeared. Quality went to shit and if there is anything wrong with your fabric they don't care. They got your money and will deny an issue tooth and nail. Completely saddened by the decline of this once amazing company.

The Great Raleigh Trolley - Heck House

    The Great Raleigh Trolley

I lucked out and found a parking spot at Tap Room. It is a small lot, so it may fill up quickly. There is another lot behind the building to the side or street parking is available. There was a street market, so it was harder to find. I did double-check that I could park at the bar when I checked in for the tour. Restrooms are available inside, and food and beverages can be brought on the trolley with a few exceptions. I liked this tour as we got a history lesson while the trolley was moving, and then we got to get off at different stops for a new perspective and not just looking out the windows. I still enjoyed looking out the windows and took some photos from there that weren't part of the tour. St. Agnes Hospital was our first stop. The stone hospital was rebuilt and opened in June 1909. It was during the Jim Crow Era for black citizens, as they were not allowed in white hospitals. We also stopped at the Heck-Andrews House. We learned of a secret tunnel and that there used to be a baseball stadium where a parking lot sits today. Devereaux Meadow was a minor league baseball stadium. I never knew a grand "Castle" (the original Meredith College) once stood near the Executive Mansion. It was a hotel and state office buildings at one point, too. It's wild that it's just a parking lot now! We got to see one of the trolley stops of the Glenwood line. It took people to Bloomsbury Park. It had electric lights at the trolley park. There was even a roller coaster, carousel, and a dance pavilion. Heather was an amazing tour guide and shared her knowledge and love of the city with us. I look forward to taking more tours with her.

We had about 12 kids, and it felt perfectly comfortable inside with plenty of room for everyone to play. The atmosphere in the truck kept the kids fully entertained the entire time, and it made hosting a group that size so much easier. From a parent's perspective, this is a great party option - it's self-contained, stress-free, and the kids had an absolute blast. The booking process was straightforward, though one thing I would have preferred was the option to have a quick phone call instead of handling everything by email and text. That said, communication was clear and professional, and everything went smoothly on the day of the event. If you're looking for something unique that kids will talk about long after the party, I highly recommend Gaming Unplugged. This is a 5-star experience, and we'll definitely consider booking again in the future!
