Such a fun place to take kids or if you wanna be a big kid yourself! I like how they have teenagers (maybe some college kids) working there. They're all so friendly and welcoming! Gives them an opportunity to earn some money during the season. We got the aquabana as they call it, for half a day (4 hours) and it was worth it ! We didn't swim but the kids did and they had a blast! You're able to bring a cooler with food and drinks ( juice, tea, soda, water. No alcohol) they have a food truck on site, as well as a "dirty soda" stand. Flavored sodas with cream (very popular in Utah but slowly making their way to the east coast) as well as a first aid bungalow. Everyone gets a life vest but kids under 18 MUST wear theirs at all times! I like that rule! Keeps the kids safe. Of course the teens working there are certified lifeguards just in case! They also offer scuba classes/lessons at the quarry. Would I come back? YES! The inflatables are so much fun and you get tired out after about an hour. They had a food truck that had some great options as well we enjoyed. I give the set up 5 star. Plenty to climb on and can stay busy for the 2 hours with some great fun. The cleanliness a 1 star! The mandatory life jackets were moldy and the climb on and bounce areas had mold growing. The employees were friendly and attentive. The bathrooms not good they were outhouses - not enough because there were no changing rooms and people were using them to change. Our experience on the "Wibit" inflatables was fabulous. My grandsons ages 11 and 13 spent 4 hrs. climbing, leaping, running, and swimming and couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. My 76-year-old husband participated for 2 of the 4 hours we reserved and also had a great time before he wore out. We also rented an aquabana, expensive but worth it so that I and later he could relax close to the water and as a brief rest stop for the adventurers now and then. TLDR: Beautiful lake (previously a stone quarry) for dive schools, experienced divers, and inflatable water park visitors. Make a reservation and complete the online waiver in advance for the water park as they do sell out. Kayaking, paddle boarding, picnic shelter, lockers, cabana, chair, and umbrella rentals available. Lifeguards on duty and life jackets required at the water park. Bathrooms, concession stand, and seating areas available. We visited Fantasy Lake on a Sunday after receiving numerous recommendations from friends and colleagues. We chose the earliest time (9-11 am) and arrived 30 minutes early as recommended. 2 hr passes were $40 each. Checking in was smooth and quick. Have your order number ready as you drive up. A friendly employee will greet you as you arrive in your vehicle to check you in and ensure you completed the online waiver. You can then proceed around the lake to the parking area. We parked near the front of the lot and walked to the entrance. There you check in again to get your wristbands. Proceed to the life jacket area or set your stuff down first. We paid an extra $20 for a chair and umbrella rental. I'm glad we chose to do this even if it wasn't sunny. It was a cloudy day so the weather was perfect. At 8:50 am they blew the whistle and children excitedly ran to the inflatable area. We finished getting ready and headed over. We had a blast. Being all adults we were unsure what to expect and loved it. Are we exhausted? Yes. Did we wipe out numerous times? Also yes. Would we go back again? Definitely. I appreciate how they limit the number of tickets to prevent overcrowding. Some areas, for instance the slides, did get backed up, but usually we did not have to wait long. The obstacles are certainly easier for children, but doable for adults. I especially enjoyed the larger slides in the back, the swing, trampoline, and cliff dive area. Main areas for concern were right under the jump areas in the inflatable park. Pay attention to where people are jumping so that you do not swim under them. Lifeguards are strategically positioned and kept everyone safe and repeat rules as needed. Some even gave us hints for how to get across obstacles without falling. Afterwards we changed and left, however, with your ticket you can stay all day if desired. They have a sandy beach, food truck, concession stand, and games. The park is a little pricy, however, a cheaper alternative to going to the beach or an amusement park. Overall, we had a great time and recommend this park to others! read more

Amazingly fun!! Amazingly entertaining for all ages and a great way to cool off on 100 degree summer days. We went for a half day with an aquabana and everyone in our party had a blast!! The wibit obstacles were fun and some were challenging, but not too much so to not do them. The water temp was perfect and the water clarity and cleanliness were spot on. I was at the park august 19th with some friends and we had a good time for the most part until the last 10 minutes of our trip there. it was time for us to leave and like 5 feet from the dock i removed my life jacket and this management dude starts YELLING and CURSED at me. I left the water and went off of the dock to my stuff because we were about to leave. As i was packing up he FOLLOWS me and my friends to our table where we were grabbing our items. He proceeds to insert himself in front of me and say YOU NEED TO LEAVE THIS PARK IMMEDIATELY and i'm like yeah i will im just gonna grab some items from my friends mom to take to her car. Then he follows me out just staring me down and curses at me and was very rude about the whole situation, like dude it's not that big of a deal. This dude was a complete man-child and couldn't control himself talking to a kid. I hope they do something about this. Now i'm seeing more reviews and this dude must be the manager or owner and he was rude to other people this dude needs to find somewhere else to work. The owner is very rude and the operations are unorganized. We had a very disappointing time today... looks like I'm not the only one who has had a run in with the rude owner. I purchased a 2 hour kayak session, a 2 hour wibit session and a half day water cabana rental. When you add on a water cabana on the website, there's no option to choose the time that you're renting it for (see screenshot attached). When we checked in, we were told to get life jackets and ask someone at the dock to bring us to the cabana - again, no mention of a certain time so I assumed we would have it for the length of the time we were there. We got back from kayaking for maybe 30 minutes and our stuff was nowhere to be found. After going to three different people for help, finally I got to speak with the lovely owner who proceeded to talk down to me, tell me how it was my fault and refused to even attempt to assist me with a solution. My personal things were on a random table where anyone could get them but I was told he had cameras up so I should have been fine with it. When he started speaking directly to my 12 year old son instead of to me, I knew it was time to just get our stuff together. My kids didn't want to stay any longer after watching the owner be so rude to their momma. * I just want to make it very clear that if I had been met with an apology or an attempt to help, this whole situation would have been worked out and I would have moved on. We visited this week for my niece's birthday & had a great half day! From the moment we checked in until we left, the team was helpful, friendly & accommodating. There were plenty of lifeguards & we felt super safe with our 6 & 7 year olds on the adventure course. The lifeguards were completely engaged in watching everyone for safety. The amenities such as aqua-cabanas & loungers with umbrellas were nice. They do cost extra but if you're planning to be there for a few hours, the loungers with an umbrella are worth it. There are covered picnic tables that are first come, first served. This may be all you need for a place to perch in the shade! Thanks for a great day! Here's a couple of things that may help you: Covered picnic tables are great! Bring lunch as the snack stand only has snacks. Ground is hot - have flip flops! There's no place to swim, splash or put your feet in the water if you aren't doing the adventure park. If you have small children - babies, toddlers - there's not much for them to do. Let me start by saying the park is a lot of fun and my kids had a great time there. It is pricey but I do not mind paying money for an experience my children and their friends will really enjoy. At the end of the day when it was time to go, my son's friend removed his lifejacket while he was in the water, a few yards before reaching the dock (which is strictly against the rules, but he just forgot which is something kids do from time to time). That's when things got bad. Someone calling himself the owner of the park started to yell at my son's friend, using all kinds of disrespectful and foul language. I came back to our picnic area to see a grown man screaming at our group of 13, 14, and 15 year old kids who just looked confused and upset. I had to calm my kids down and also de-escalate the owner, who used the excuse that "their safety is my responsibility" for his unprofessional and bullying behavior. Sorry, I am not buying that. I work at the Durham Sherriff Department with a bunch of first responders who work in actual life and death situations. They would never use that as an excuse for acting like that. Or maybe I just don't understand the pressures of working at a water park? If this person really is the owner, that is unfortunate because he clearly has anger problems and should not be dealing with the public at all, much less with kids. read more

This is a great place to go to get in the water if you don't have time to travel far and to conduct training and practice your SCUBA skills. Carolina Dive Center hosts an annual treasure hunt & BBQ every July, which is a great time. Only divers can use the park, and it costs $20 per person to enter. You need to bring your gear and tanks, they don't rent at the park. It is a Quarry so depending on the time of year it's going to be cold with terrible visibility. It's fun to come in the summer when the HUGE sunfish make their nests. You can't fish in this quarry so the fish are huge. read more

When you're looking at it from the outside, it seems too small for the two hours we booked, but once you get going, you realize you're no where near finishing the whole course. It's definitely worth booking the two hours. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. There was a food truck and a little stand to buy snacks & drinks. Family had an awesome time here. All of the staff was amazing! I lost my watch while at the park but the dive team recovered it along with many other lost watches later that week. Can't say how grateful I was to see that they had found it and I was able to pick it up the day after they posted it on Facebook. Would definitely come back again... The name is almost exactly what you'll find. It's a lake and a scuba park all in one. If you're a diver and want to get some extra practice or training without driving over to the coast, this is the spot for it. Solo diving isn't allowed, and there's no lifeguard on duty (kind of makes sense) and this park is a training facility for local dive shops and law enforcement. You must be a diver to get into the lake. There's no swimming, snorkeling, diving, boating, or anything that isn't diving. It's straightforward. This is an adults only (18+) venue unless you're being a certified as a diver. It's a nice place to hang out and watch the divers, listen to the instructors, and enjoy the surrounding scenery. There's a hiking trail available, also, if diving or watching the divers, isn't enough. For divers, there's plenty available: changing rooms, outside showers, underwater platforms and other things, identified by buoys, which can take you down to 80 feet, the maximum lake depth. Night diving is allowed on the weekends, with prior arrangements. It wasn't until after I was leaving that I noticed the rules require that a diver accompany non-divers, I was fortunate enough to get in because it was quiet and not busy. I learned a lot from the man working at the gate, an experienced diver of 30+ years, who offered some tips and recommendations on local diving schools and was just as interesting a person as he could be.
