- they go WAY overboard with the buffing. they started with an electric rotary buffer. I asked her to go easy on the buffing. then she went over the surface again with a hard file. then two more times with a sponge buffer. my nails are now white from all the scraping and much weaker. it's going to take a year to grow it out. they ruined my nails. Came here with a group of friends to get manis and pedis. Worst job ever, would not recommend. Pedis we're very quick, and only gentle scrubbing, they do not put in time to make sure your cuticles are clean, callouses removed. Paint job was terrible, shellac didn't dry and so they were pretty much ruined by the time we left. read more

went in to get a new set of nails done. they were looking good until they got to the polish... it was the wrong bottle of nail polish that i had asked for. She also did not apply the polish well or file my nails very well.After the polish was applied she then filed my nails! Removing nail polish from the sides of my nails. I left with my nails being bumpy, uneven and honestly the worst nails i have ever gotten. i went back to get them fixed. the lady "fixed" her mistake which was filling a couple nails for 30 seconds and that's it, not doing anything about the bumps on my nails or the uneven shape or the wrong colour. I paid 65$ and that's the worst money anyone has ever spent to get their nails done. would not go back horrible customer service. save your money and go somewhere else. read more

My girlfriend just came out from getting her acrylics removed and i personally think I could have done a better job in my shop with a chipping hammer She filed them done and took out a took and painfully scraped them off. She was left very scratched and ugly looking nails. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went here to get my acrylics done a few weeks ago. The results were underwhelming. I decided to give them another chance so I came back to get them off and get colour done and it was even more disappointing than the first time. The process to take the acrylics off was wildly painful, something I have never experienced before. And the man put no effort into the the paint job. No shaping of the nail, and the paint job was missing patches and began chipping immediately after. To say I am dissatisfied with the service would be an understatement. Will never return. read more

Came here with friends from out of town. We thought it would be good based on the 3 positive Google reviews. We called to make a reservation and we were told that it would be a really busy day. It was a Wednesday at 11:30 that we came in. The spa was busy but we were taken right away. I requested a pedicure only. Not much care was taken with the pedicure. The scrubbing was extremely light and barely done. It seemed as though they were rushing me to get to other customers that might come in. Not nearly enough attention was paid to the details. There was paint left on my skin around the nails that they didn't even bother to wipe off. I didn't stress too much about it but I most definitely would not return. read more

So I'm hoping I have the right place, if not this review can be discarded. The salon that is across from Cranberry Resort, i.e. near keith avenue is the nail salon I will review. It is in the plaza across the street from cranberry resort. Okay well, granted, I did come in a tad later than the closing time that was not listed, and I was more than willing to wait until tomorrow for a job well done, but they insisted and I thought to myself, okay, fine. But not only was the nail shelled process rushed beyond belief, i notice the lack of smoothness in my nails, especially my pedicure. the bottom of my feet completely not paid attention to, I felt like i was in a fast food nail joint. i came today to get my acrylics off and the service was more than undesirable. they shaved my nails off, leaving some nails thinner than paper and some with remaining acrylic. i came with a friend who was getting the same service as me and after seeing her nails i opted not to get my coloured. the nail tech spent no time and rushed the process. to think we payed for a service which could have been done by my 5 year old sister....would NOT recommend. read more

This is by far the worst pedicure my mother and sister and I received . We asked firstly to get rinsed of the chemicals before the started putting on the polish. they did one coat . I filed my moms pedicure in the salon and did a second coat for her myself as we waited for our nails to dry while they took on more people. They left the job unfinished. The polish didn't even cover the full nail bed and there's gaps on the nail. Very rushed. Tried to upswell me 6 times after I kept repeating I was not interested in additional services by far the ABSOLUTE worst pedicure and experience I've ever had. read more

I'm not one to post reviews but feel this one warranted it. I visited this location with a group of coworkers (7 of us) while on a day trip to Collingwood. Some of them had been there the previous year and had a good experience so wanted to try it again. There was a large group of us but we had a reservation and they had plenty of staff on hand to accommodate both manicures and pedicures for all of us - a 2-hour time slot was booked well in advance. I've had many pedicures over time and this was the most rushed experience I've felt. The pedicure water was far too hot in the tub to start with, and my heels not properly filed down, leaving rough edges. I came in with no blisters or callouses but left with broken skin after excessive pressure was used, rubbing away skin which caused bleeding. This made the remainder of the pedicure experience very uncomfortable. The manicure started out fine with the gentleman filing down the nails but I wasn't asked about the shaping or length. He did fill in two nails which had broken earlier in the week to better shape them. I asked for a french manicure which he did but I ended up with glue under my nails and white nail polish on my hands which I later removed once I got home. However, my finger nails were not effectively filed down, leaving rough edges that could easily be caught on clothes. Although the other ladies had no issues, it just wasn't an enjoyable experience for me. Was looking forward to this day and left disappointed. read more

I was there yesterday and asked if they have the dip instead of shellac and Luca said yes pick a colour. When he started the dip I asked why it was white and not coloured he said the owner only has 7 colours in the dip and mine was not one of them so he ended up putting shellac onto of the dip which makes no sense. I didn't want shellac but got it anyway and paid more for it. When I made the appointment they said I would get 10% discount if I paid cash. So cash it was $87.50 for manicure and pedicure with a 10% discount. This didn't sound right to me but there was no way of communicating this as I tried to tell Luca, he ignored it. So I paid and will never go back and will tell as many people as I can about my experience. Luca should have told be first that they did not have my colour in dip. The whole point of the dip is that it layers the colour on your nails and there is no ultra violet light needed to cure. They need to learn to speak better English so they can communicate. read more

I was visiting a friend who has been coming to this salon for a few years. She said it was hit or miss. It was convenient, so we went. It was the worst pedicure. Rushed. Never asked what kind of pedicure. Speed buffed our tired summer running feet. Never asked about how short to cut. Speed filed to the skin. Picked up the wrong color my friend picked out, then got pissed when my friend realized it was the wrong color. Forgot the top coat. Called a massage a slap of oil and wiped it off with a hot towel. I paid 35.00 cash and my friend paid with a CC and they said it would be 39.00. I would never recommend this nail salon and my friend will never come back read more

Had an appointment booked, very busy Elvis weekend. Extremely rushed. The water in the bath when I put my foot in was so hot I pulled it out quickly and she added cold water but seemed upset to have to do it. They don't speak to you, but the girls talk to each other in their language. Very poor customer service. The nail job I had was extremely rushed. She used the file on my foot in one stoke. The girl beside me was there for at least 20 minutes longer than me and I was out before she was done. They also want you to pay cash to avoid paying tax. Seems shady to me. I've been going to this establishment for a couple of years. I've always been happy with their service -- manicures and pedicures. I always ask for Lee; she does a wonderful job. But I had the worst experience ever with waxing. I believe I had the "boss"; she must have been in a bad mood. I've never had someone rip off my face! Ive been coming to this spa every 2-2.5 weeks to get a fill on my gel nails and occasional pedicures for over a year. I booked my appointments well in advance with my same girl and haven't had any issues. For my pedicures I have someone different every time. They ask me throughout if I need anything and how I'm doing. Yes, they might have a slight language barrier but that's just minor. They are always friendly to me. I never expected from the start to come in and get a service as if I was at an expensive spa in Toronto. This spa has a lot of walk ins and people expecting fast efficient service. I will continue to come here and voice my concerns if any do arise in the future. read more

Staff are extremely rude when asked to correct misshaped nails and poor quality of work. Response to request to fix nail when on site was arms gross and improper body language from staff followed by what you can only guess was a rant in their language between staff.Made to feel horrible about requesting that they properly to correct it, left with horrible solar nail job both in shape and nail falling off the next day. Response from Bobbi after polite conversation was an offer to have them redone, there was no way that we were going back into the salon that mistreats customers and speaks about them in a different language so that you can no understand what they are saying. I would not recommend this place, I wish I could give a no-star review. Initially went in for shellac pedicure and manicure, but ended up with just the pedicure. Their equipment didn't seem up to par, a light bulb in the UV box, which u put ur feet into, was loose and touching my foot. I immediately pointed out the hanging bulb and the staff just pushed it back into the box, but didn't replace it nor use another box. As well, the staff wasnot attentive and does not listen to instructions. After putting 2 coats of shellac on my feet and drying them, she tried to "clean" excess shellac on the edge of my toenail by using the sander (?!) however, she sanded so hard my nail on my toe started to bleed. Then when I told her she was hurting me, she just pressed my toe, but painted over the toe again without cleaning of properly inspecting it. I wish I had never walked in, not welcoming for ppl from out-of-town. More attn was also given to locals, staff was not attentive and professional. Would not recommend this place. read more

I felt uncomfortable the entire time I was there for a manicure and pedicure. The male aesthetician was definitely hitting on me and asking me inappropriate questions like where I worked, what time I started and finished my shifts, where I lived, etc. He repeatedly told me to smile more because of how beautiful I was when I did and called me "sweetie". I spoke to him very little and did not encourage his series of questions. Even if that hadn't happened this isn't the first time I've given them my business and been unhappy, but it will be the last. They pushed Shellac as if no service could possibly be completed without it, and my 5+ responses of "no" were not good enough. The entire experience left me full of anxiety. I don't even like the way my nails turned out. I asked for one very specific thing (to remove my fake nails) and it didn't happen. Very frustrating. A waste of time and money. read more
