I called in advance and booked an appointment for 3:30 for a bio gel manicure + shellac and pedicure shellac. I arrived at 3:25 and was taken in right away. They took my temperature, and everyone was wearing masks and gloves and maintaining social distancing. Vicky SAVED my nails after an awful attempt at a gel manicure at home (due to lockdown). She revived my nails, cut and shaped them, redid the biogel, and painted them to perfection with a beautiful red wine colour that she picked out for me. I then headed to get a pedicure by Michelle, who was so gentle and thorough I got goosebumps (the good kind, the kind you get from ASMR) on so many occasions. She scrubbed and exfoliated my legs with lotions, oils, and exfoliants that smelt amazing, and offered me a choice of either a moisturizer massage or a hot stone massage. The hot stones and her massaging was so relaxing I wanted to float to the car rather than step on my feet. She then topped it all off by placing a hot towel over my feet and legs, which felt so nice! Overall, the whole experience took 2 hours (& $110+HST) and was SO WORTH IT after 2 months of lockdown. The salon is clean, pretty, organized, and very well managed. Everyone who works there is so professional and nice. I even used the washroom between treatments and it was extremely clean and cared for. I highly recommend this nail salon and will definitely be coming back again. It truly is a little hidden gem. Tip: If you pay in cash you get a 10% discount. Had a really unfortunate incident at this location yesterday. The establishment itself isnt bad, but they have a lot of work to do when it comes to client care and support. I received a really great bio gel fill, but was unfortunate to get another person who took care of my pedicure. She made really sarcastic and racist comments (I am an African Canadian women). Just unacceptable. I decided to bring my concerns to the manager, and though she showed empathy - her way of resolving was to recommend I ask for another person next time - unacceptable. In this day and age we are in, no one should have to feel uncomfortable in a spa environment. I understand, mistakes can be made, but this place does not value you as a customer and if you are like me, you want to feel that when you spend your hard earned money. I had a really great experience at this place when I came to get a pedicure. The front of house staff was very friendly and professional and we only had to wait a couple of minutes before beginning. I did have a few language barriers with the lady doing my pedicure and the precision of the nail polish could have been better but she was lovely nonetheless. I would come back here because the experience was positive but will be trying out other places that are cheaper first as place came out to $45 for a pedicure after tax and tip. read more

Really great 1st visit. I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to take me in immediately. Yen was very quiet (which is perfectly fine with me) but attentive and did a great job on my mani pedi. My only complaint is that there is one particular nail technician who was very yappy with someone beside me and going on and on about some waist training belt she was wearing and how it is retraining her stomach. Yeah. And then some eyelash product to make your lashes grow. And then eyelash extensions. Blah blah blah. She was plugging those miracle products. She probably believes in unicorns. read more

OUCH! I've never had such an uncomfortable/painful pedicure before. The technician who did my pedicure never noticed how uncomfortable I was or the painful faces I was making to my friend in the next chair. She filed my nails so briskly with out any care about cutting my skin as the Emory board went back and forth. It felt like paper cuts. Three of my toes have cuts that hurt and I'm praying they won't get infected. The item they use to exfoliate looks like a mini yellow sponge but is incredibly hard and sharp. She scrubbed the bottoms of my feet with it so hard it hurt during, even on the ticker bottoms of my feet and particularly on the sensitive spots that are not as thick as the ball and heel of my foot. Afterwards the soles of my feet were bright red and it felt as though I had burned them, by walking on hot sand. One day later it no longer hurts to walk but I have visible cuts and scratches from the sharp edge. While the space was nicely decorated and clean and the staff were doing their best to handle everybody on busy Mother's Day Sunday, I left with out complaining because I didn't want to make a big deal on such a busy day and with 5 people on like behind me ready to make their payments. By far the best place I been to. I can go 4-5 weeks without having a single broken nail ! I've given other places a chance and I'm never satisfied! I live in Newmarket and when I make my visits to Oakville I will go and get my nails done at this place! I will not go anywhere else and it's also a very beautiful place inside. They may be a bit more pricier than other places but I've realized it's worth my every buck! Make sure you always call ahead to book because on unexpected days and times they are so busy. Went here a couple times, was pleased with service/quality of the manicures/pedicures. Their eyebrow waxing I would NOT recommend: it's very rushed with little thought. Went recently for a simple manicure and was shocked at the attitude the receptionist gave me, was never asked if I wanted a drink/tea, like they did to most of the clients, and the manicure itself never dried properly. Their driers are not good at all. Used a pink Zoya polish that I know is a good quality polish, but the manicurist did too many coats. It took an hour to dry! No one checked my manicure before I left, asked how it was, or said thank you! For the prices they charge ($$$) you'd think they'd care about the quality. NEVER returning. read more

i have been coming here off and on for 2 years and I am done. The last 2 pedicures they have put thinner in polish because it's thick and then it does not go on smooth. I was there for 4 hrs for basic pedicure because polish was thick then they thinned it so it was to thin also fuzz stuck in polish. I owned a nail business for 8 year and see what's going wrong. The biggest problem is that it's never there fault and they are aggravated to fix. I pay for a service with gratitude but when somethings wrong u get attitude. There are some really nice good nail techs but many rush through with poor results. I'm always polite and appreciate how hard they work but unfortunately the products aren't being handled properly and end result is a bad review. The customer shouldn't be made to feel guilty to ask to have problem fixed. They are fortunately in a great location so I don't think it matters if they lose a customer. SMH read more

From being warmly greeted by the owners at the door to paying for my extremely satisfying service, I had a top notch experience here. The services I had done were a shellac mani and a pedi by Joy, a very friendly nail technician. She took the time and care to make sure that my nails were pretty much perfectly done. My pedicure was nicely complimented with a salt scrub, and my feet were extra soft afterwards. After a few days, there was no "bubbling" or peeling at the corners of my nails, which unfortunately, does happen at some places. I am quite rough with my nails and my manicure lasted 3 weeks. This place is pretty and the staff are very nice but the product and service is very poor. I have gone a couple of times and all times my shellac nails have come apart within days. They tend to rush you out to get all the clients in and this leads to rushed application and the polish never drying entirely. It's a bit expensive for that type of service. I have tried this place a few times to see if they improve but I have always had a bad experience. Not worth spending your money here. read more

Staff is very friendly and welcoming at the door. After that it's down hill the manicure and pedicure is rushed and very sloppy. Foot scrub is a waste of time not really sure what you are paying for. Used to go here all the time. For almost 2 years. Cathy is amazing and when getting a manicure of any sort I highly recommend booking the appointment with her. Before Cathy I always had Tammy. Both are great. Vivian is also exceptional. Owner is a little rude. Seems busy and not really In tuned with clients. Quite expensive. If I go and have an appointment with anyone other than Cathy or Tammy or Vivian, my nails look horrible. Would go back but it is not my first choice. read more

Unfortunately this place looks glamorous and new, but the ethics inside along with the professionalism is completely non existing. As a male, asked for a font chest wax, prior to going in was told 30$ , that included the stomach. That price was very different on check out and jumped to 50$. Why? Because I asked for a clean job. A job that didn't leave me looking incomplete and patchy. When asking to speak to the manager, the receptionist left and came back with no manager and no explanation why, only a firm 50$ debit pad. Dishonest quoting practice! They gave a quote for $50 over the phone (twice) and after we had the service they increased the price to $60. When we complained they said it was because we had colour put on the nails! (Doesn't everyone? Isnt that why you do your nails in a nail salon???) Had an appointment for pedicure and nail fill, they were 20 minutes late with with the start of my pedicure which is fine but because I had a nail appointment she did my pedicure in 25-30 minutes! Very rushed not relaxing one nail the polish was all dumpy. During my nail fill constantly checking her cell phone and even made a phone call. Too much talking with other Technicians around her... I have been going to this salon since it opened, but I find now service is lacking and it's all about bring as much people through as fast as they can. I have been here a total of three times. The first was to remove Shellac I had on from a different salon in Toronto who charges about $5 more than this Salon for the Shellac manicure. I should've known something was up when the technician removing my shellac said 'did you get this done here? because its done very well and I don't know anyone who does it like this' I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back to get my next set of shellac manicure. After 4 days my nails were completely cracked and one had chipped. I went back to complain and they handled it nicely by giving me a complementary manicure with a different kind of shellac polish they promised would last longer. It lasted a week long than the last one. I used to go to Polish'd Nail Bar in downtown Toronto and I am going to be resuming my manicures there because their manicures last three weeks and the only thing that is bothersome by then is the growth (which Polish'd cant do anything about). So ladies, think twice before going here. Its a waste of money in my opinion to only have shellax on your fingernails for two weeks before they start looking terrible. I wish they invested more training into their staff, the salon has potential but I don't think they care. read more

This place has just gotten worse. I stopped going there about a year ago because I wasn't happy with the pedicures. Also, it was hit and miss with the shellac manicures. Sometimes my nails would be bumpy and would peel within days. In particular there is this one nail technician named Helen who should not do any shellac manicures or pedicures for that matter. My feet were probably scrubbed a total of one minute and were left rough and hard. This was disguised with an extra charge paraffin wax dip that was supposed to make my feet feel luxurious. Of course they felt luxurious because of the wax. But when I got home and washed my feet I felt all the hard skin still there. This place needs to see how manicures and pedicures are done in Europe. Your feet are left without any hard cuticles scrubbed beautifully and a wonderful foot massage. The foot massage at this place consists of 60 seconds on each foot and leg with a couple of hard bangs here and there , some slaps, but no real massage. I don't like to generalize, but this is your typical Vietnamese nail place... Assembly line work, Constant talk in their own language to each other, which I find very rude since I do not speak Vietnamese. I'm pretty sure there are insulting someone in that room at that point. Pay a little bit more and get better results at a European spa. Sorry I tried for a few years, left and tried a new place also Vietnamese, returned again to see if anything had changed but sad to say it hasn't. Too bad because the Decore is really nice. read more
