I met Nicole at another salon and followed her to her place. I like the quiet of this spot. It seats no more than two people, so essentially, your appointment is always private. She's uses all low tox nail polish, and is conscious about using the cleanest products she can. This is SO refreshing especially now that we know so many beauty products and fragrances are toxic these days. (It was the first time I've ever came home from a pedicure and didn't smell chemically and/or of strong perfume from lotions.) I normally get monthly pedicures from a typical nail salon, and even though I go monthly, my skin is still incredibly dry. One visit with Nicole and my feet haven't felt this soft in at least 5 years! I can't wait to go back, even though my polish still looks perfect so I probably won't need to for a while. It is my understanding that they are under new ownership. A Friend had given me a Gift Certificate for my Birthday, and I went in to use it at the end of May, with the same gal that had been doing my pedicures since I started going there. (I made it known that I am a type 1 diabetic, for the safety of my feet.) So, I was quite surprised when the same gal cut my foot to the point where blood was visibly dripping. Now, I know things happen and I would manage my injury when I got home. But after being a good and fair customer, always tipped fairly and always had a positive attitude. This same young woman did not acknowledge or apologize that she had cut my foot, let alone take responsibility. She obviously knew, as she sprayed my foot with alcohol or possibly a styptic solution. not sure which. I was very disappointed in her behavior. So, I vowed with that I would not return. The friend who gifted me the gift certificate was very upset that I was treated so poorly and went to speak with the Owner about a week later. He did issue another gift certificate and said that if I would like to come in again, he would personally do my pedicure. So, that friend and I just went back last week, and both got our pedicures done, but unfortunately, as promised, the owner dropped the ball and did not do my feet, instead he had a young man that I was not familiar with, do my pedicure. I was disappointed to say the least after being promised the owner would do it. But figured, well, this guy must be pretty good, and the owner must trust his work, Wrong! This guy was unbelievably careless! Not only did he re-cut my foot where it had been cut before, but also twice more on the same foot on my big toe. And Once Again, No Apology! None! I'm not sure why this place, has really gone downhill, in my opinion. I hope other clients will not have the same experiences that I have had in this past 2 months. Very Sad, I used to love this place and felt it fair to give them another try after the assurance that the owner would personally do my Pedi. After my experience last week, I will not be returning under Any Circumstances! For those that may have autoimmune disorders such diabetes or other conditions, please be especially careful.

At the top of the list was Gelax Nails so I called and booked a same day appointment. Jenifer did a beautiful job... I got a dip manicure in a lovely nude shade. She was gentle, removing the old dip polish, soaking it off with minimal sanding. She shaped my nails beautifully and applied the color perfectly. I'm super picky about my dip, manicures, and my litmus test is whether or not they have a smooth cuticle transition or not... And Jennifer did a fantastic job! The salon is clean and new, and all of the technicians were very friendly. I'll be back!

I arrived first to the…read morenail shop. for a pedicure and brow wax. shortly after two other customers arrived. when my toes were finished the woman let me know I would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes to get my brows done while she did a full set on someone's nails. I got there first and brows take five minutes. She should have quickly done my eyebrows and sent me on my way instead. Had me sitting there for 30 plus minutes until I decided to just leave. Not to mention she charged me $60 just for my toes not sure that this was worth $60 but OK.

Her mission to provide safe nail care with autoclave sterilization is so important, and you can tell her and her team are truly passionate about nail safety. In the past where I've personally experienced poor sanitation protocols at other regular nail salons. Safety is always first, and her method truly reflects that with the services being offered. Paramedical pedicures and Russian manicures are trending and really should be implemented more in general, and Shanna and her team are simply ahead of the game by offering these services first here in Tucson.
