I had been going to Orchid Nails for at least for the past 2 years and had always been very happy and satisfied with the service I received. It is my understanding that they are under new ownership. A Friend had given me a Gift Certificate for my Birthday, and I went in to use it at the end of May, with the same gal that had been doing my pedicures since I started going there. (I made it known that I am a type 1 diabetic, for the safety of my feet.) So, I was quite surprised when the same gal cut my foot to the point where blood was visibly dripping. Now, I know things happen and I would manage my injury when I got home. But after being a good and fair customer, always tipped fairly and always had a positive attitude. This same young woman did not acknowledge or apologize that she had cut my foot, let alone take responsibility. She obviously knew, as she sprayed my foot with alcohol or possibly a styptic solution. not sure which. I was very disappointed in her behavior. So, I vowed with that I would not return. The friend who gifted me the gift certificate was very upset that I was treated so poorly and went to speak with the Owner about a week later. He did issue another gift certificate and said that if I would like to come in again, he would personally do my pedicure. So, that friend and I just went back last week, and both got our pedicures done, but unfortunately, as promised, the owner dropped the ball and did not do my feet, instead he had a young man that I was not familiar with, do my pedicure. I was disappointed to say the least after being promised the owner would do it. But figured, well, this guy must be pretty good, and the owner must trust his work, Wrong! This guy was unbelievably careless! Not only did he re-cut my foot where it had been cut before, but also twice more on the same foot on my big toe. And Once Again, No Apology! None! I'm not sure why this place, has really gone downhill, in my opinion. I hope other clients will not have the same experiences that I have had in this past 2 months. Very Sad, I used to love this place and felt it fair to give them another try after the assurance that the owner would personally do my Pedi. After my experience last week, I will not be returning under Any Circumstances! Love Orchid Nails on Ina! So bright and clean yet relaxing and comfortable and the staff is amazing and they do the best nails! I feel so pampered with their pedis! (I joke that I wish I could just come in every few days and soak my feet and get foot and leg massages between my pedis because it's so relaxing!) I love the spa pedis with choices of aromatherapy products. When I'm traveling I often have to just "take what I can get" when it comes to mani & pedis and my experiences sometimes disappoint -but Orchid Nails never disappoints! They are the best! I've been going to them for several years now! I love the detailed artwork they provide as well, as for a year now I've remembered my mom with a forget-me-not flower on one nail and they always do extra fine work around the flower too which adds to the beauty of that nail. On Mother's Day I went in to get a fill and my daughter was paying for it as a gift to me. Apparently they just wanted to make money! They gave me the youngest and the least experienced girl. She didn't remember what my mail looked like before she filed them down. Didn't fixed my broke phone thumb nail or ask me if any mail was broke. She filled my nails and now I have fungus under my thumb and index finger. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM AND AS A MILITARY MEMBER I CANNOT BELIEVE THE LACK OF SERVICE I RECEIVED!!!! I could not have asked for a better experience. First, they were able to accommodate me the same day right when I called them. Second, I got the best pedicure ever! The massage was amazing and the gentleman who took care of me was so detailed! I typically do not enjoy pedicures so I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this one. Definitely coming back again for another! Finally, the second gentleman who worked on my manicure was also very detailed, he worked around what I wanted, and we had a great conversation. The hand massage was also a very nice way to end my visit. My total was $55 which is less than what I've paid in the past for just mani. I will definitely be coming back to orchid nails! read more

I've been driving all over Tucson to get my nails done and while the nails look great the first day or so, they tend to chip or mess up before the week is over. This weekend, I didn't feel like driving across town and found Orchid Nails on Yelp had good reviews so I thought I'd give them a try. I arrived at 9:00 am without an appointment and was immediately greeted and started my pedicure. The chairs recline and have a comfortable massage feature that doesn't just beat your back. I opted for the spa pedicure and callus removal ($30) which was fantastic and my feet are super smooth and moisturized. Unlike other places I've been, I had the option to choose which sent of lotion and sugar scrub I'd like the technician to use, which is an added bonus since I don't always like what I get at other places. After my feet were done, I got probably my favorite gel manicure that I've received. It was super fast but the work is pristine. I like that he made sure I liked the length (short) and got rid of all the pesky cuticle bits. They're so close to home, I don't really know why I hadn't thought to go there before. I wish I'd known to bring cash for a tip as I didn't see that in the reviews I read. Thankfully, they allowed me to leave it on the card this time. read more

He was very meticulous and made sure that there was no polish on my skin around my nail AND made sure the skin wasn't stuck to my nail! That was a big one for me because that's usually how mine chip, after they separate and the polish is lifted it gets caught and chips. Very friendly and quiet atmosphere, it was very nice. I saw a sign on the door that said they accepted walk-ins, and I was so excited that I had to stop in because my nails were in desperate need of a quick manicure. I was able to get in, but then there were three walk-ins after me that they didn't have an extra manicurist for. I felt a little bad for those walk-ins, but when I glanced down at my uneven and cracked nails, I felt a lot better about it. The salon itself looks a lot different from my regular place but again, I just needed someone to even out my nails, and so I picked a color and sat down. The young man that did my nails did an excellent job of filing them to make them even. I love the length. I was not a fan that they cut your cuticles here--it actually isn't a great practice and is harmful to your nails. This was, of course, my fault for not noticing that he was clipping the cuticles until after he'd done two fingers. In the future, I'd be more aware and ask them not to cut the cuticles. However, again, my nails were made even and were buffed and looked amazing! This part is definitely worth 3-stars by itself. What I wasn't a fan of was the polish job. Upon careful examination about an hour later, the color is uneven in certain areas (like a part of the nail got 3 coats of paint but another got 1 coat). There are some uneven bumps here and there as well. It has been less than 24 hours and the polish is rubbing off the end of my nails already. Now, since the manicure was only $13, I think I got great service in the trimming and nail part. The polish part, I am not thrilled about, but again for $13 I can leave this polish on a few days and change it myself later. The service done on my uneven nails was totally worth the price! read more

My deluxe pedicure procedure was great but the polish stayed thick and wet for 45 minutes after which was super weird, I didn't notice this until it was too late and my toe was smudged. They also did my kids nails and toes and that was a mess. $78 dollars...ugh. read more
